Always a great meal at Sugo...outstanding food, great service and a comfortable atmosphere!
As usual the food and service were top notch. A gem in Johns Creek.
Personal service, romantic, very accommodating
You cannot beat the dinner deal Sugo offered. Had they not run out of steak the food rating would be a 5. We really enjoyed dinner & the service.
It was great meal and great value. Service was great.
Unbeatable hospitality combined with exceptional quality- a very potent combination. Sugo has never left us anything short of ecstatic!
We have eaten here many times and really enjoy our experience very much. For one thing, the staff is very friendly if that is something that matters to you.
It is an upscale restaurant so do not expect large portions for the scallops, for example. There are many items that do offer great taste AND value if that's important to you. For instance, the salads are a nice size and can be shared. The Sugo meatball is huge and also can be shared even though it is only one meatball. Delicious. So is the arancini appetizer.
The shrimp scampi is unique and one of my favorites at Sugo. The hanger steak is on the small side and does not really come with a side (six beans came with mine last weekend as a side) so you might want to order one. Lena's chicken is a nice pasta dish. If you are lucky enough to show up when they have squash blossoms in a lemon pasta that is yummy and very affordable. They make a fabulous wild mushroom ravioli dish; nonetheless, it is really two large ravioli so not share worthy. The sauce was fantastic, though. Their braised short rib ravioli is terrific too. Many many items are. You just have to check it out. Never had the scallops - only three on a plate and the cost is ca. $30! Not for the faint of heart.
We usually order a bunch of items and share them all for fun, which it certainly is.
Always a 10 out of 10. Our favorite restaurant!!!
Food is excellent. Staff and owners very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.
Sugo is excellent in every way. And w the $17.76 specials it was an exceptional value.
Sugo's had a special $17.76 offering for Independence Day that was exceptional!
All of the food was amazing! If you go, you must get the meatball as an appetizer. It was the best ever! The eggplant parmesan was cooked to perfection. The shrimp scampi was delicious. Will definitely return to Sugo!
We visited for an anniversary celebration.
Food was fabulous, service by Crystal was extraordinary. We loved the shishino peppers appetizer.
Wonderful service, environment, and food!! Highly recommended!
My sister is gluten free and the choices for her were wonderful. The salmon was absolutely delicious and everything was cooked to perfection. Our server seemed to always know if we needed anything and the owners were present and very much a part of making everyone feel welcome. Well done!
Food and drinks were fantastic. Excellent bar and service; waitress really knew the food and made great recommendations. Food was terrific. Can't wait to go back!
No surprise, we had a wonderful dinner at Sugo's for my mother's birthday / father's day celebration. My dad is vegetarian and we always LOVE the incredible selection of vegetarian dishes, or vegetarian versions of dishes. The shishito pepper appetizer and the caprese salad were new and incredible. There's also a new zucchini noodle item that is delicious. And as always, the service is impeccable. We always love coming here and it's a special treat. Highly recommend this place.
First time here. Authentic and absolutely awesome!
Food and service always top-notch as usual. Always go there for special occasions!
Sugo’s always exceeds my expectations! The service, food and ambiance is always the best
We discovered Sugo many years ago and have enjoyed eating there many times. Eventually the locations near us closed. We recently discovered they have a Johns Creek location , so it was good to go back after years and see the same owners, etc. The one disappointment I had was that the halibut dish was one I loved in the past and was planning on ordering it, but they now charge $35 for it. Sadly, that was above what we could afford, and I'm certain it's much more than what they used to charge. I realize prices can go up, but it still is a lot to pay for that dish.
Otherwise, all was good and I would recommend Sugo as an enjoyable restaurant to visit.
We are long time customers and find the atmosphere, service and food to be excellent.
We've enjoyed SUGO since they opened many years ago. The owners are always friendly and know you by name. Food is delicious.
The food is fabulous!
Excellent food, service & we could hear our conversations! Great evening!
Always an awesome experience with the Castelluci's .
We LOVED Sugo!! This was our first time visiting and we were super impressed with everything. The owners are extremely polite and welcoming. The food was amazing with a creative twist on Italian classics. The ambience is classy with dim lighting, perfect for date night or a group gathering. And the service was great. We’re definitely coming back! There’s also a fun and trendy hookah lounge in the same complex which was the perfect ending to our night.
Amazing food as always! The hanger steak was a unique Mediterranean flavor - I’d order again! The shrimp scampi was delicious- bigger portion than expected!
Food was excellent. My wife had excellent scallops, our daughter a tasty barramundi and I had the always good bracoile. Each dish’s presentation was very nice. Service was attentive. Mr and Ms C stopped by to ensure everything was to our liking.
I always enjoy Sugo along with all the other CHG Restaurants! Food and service are always great and Mr. and Mrs. C, treat you like family. Never a bad meal and always a great time.
My wife and I had a great dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. The service was great, the food delicious, and a nice touch with the desert presentation to acknowledge the occasion.
Revisited sugo after not being there for a year.
I thought overall outstanding and my wife praised it as well.
I thought the menu was more extensive in the past.
Selections were great and although bacon wrapped dates were delicious I would like to see a few more dates served even w a price increase.
Great Dinner! Always enjoy!
Even though we made a reservation a week prior to our visit, we had a choice of 2 tables - both of them were in a walkway.
We had to constantly look and pry our server for service. In fact, when we were ready to order, she asked us to wait so she could check out the table next to us first.
Wonderful place for adults, not so much for kids.
The salmon was excellent. My wife's dish was not prepared as she ordered, but they responded with an offer to redo and brought an extra side out. I would go again.
From the beginning to the end the meal was wonderful! When we arrived we had a very friendly greeting. The menu was described impeccably to our table and answered all our questions. The service was very attentive and the food was delicious. It was a special occasion and the staff recognized the honoree and made them feel very special. We will definitely return.
Our son’s high school graduation
Sugos is always one of our favorites. Been coming to Sugos for over 10 years. Love everything about it, and we were celebrating our anniversary on this particular night! They couldn't have treated us better!
The ambiance completely blew me away. It was dimly lit and romantic which means it was perfect for a first date. It was also quiet with light music in the background, so it was easy for me to focus on my conversation with my date.
In terms of the food, I had the Meatball as an appetizer and the Butcher’s Cut for the main course. Both were absolutely perfect. I’m not surprised the Meatball is rated nationally. I wish I could try all the dishes they offered because the dishes I had were impressive.
The service was amazing. The blend of professionalism and friendliness made me feel very relieved while I was eating. The waiters and waitresses made it very clear that they cared, and I am purposefully referencing multiple people. While we had one main waitress serve us, all the other ones never hesitated to check up on us. It felt very familial.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.
