SUGARCANE raw bar grill Las Vegas
In 2016, SUGARCANE raw bar grill opened on Restaurant Row at the Venetian® Las Vegas, an AAA Five Diamond luxury resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant was quickly recognized by top culinary outlets: Eater called it “the most anticipated arrival of the year” and named it one of the “15 hottest restaurants in Las Vegas,” Thrillist and The Daily Meal dubbed it “Best New Restaurant,” and Lara Spencer of Good Morning America called it “Las Vegas’s newest hotspot.”
Can’t get food out of kitchen. Server so so
The food was amazing! We had the goat cheese croquettes, smoked salmon pizza, and beignets and all were so well executed. The service was great and timeline - highly recommended as an option for a relaxed outing in Vegas!
New Years. Server very good; friendly professional . Service excellent
Great happy hour!
We loved the shared plates. Every plate was unique and different. We loved the variety of flavors and textures. Every dish was excellent.
Good service. Food was ok but too expensive for what you get!

There were so many yummy things to try, I had a hard time choosing. The Tuna Tartar was to die. The ambiance was modern and inviting and I would go back again in a minute!

Great service and menu. The oysters were delicious and the king crab legs served warm. An impressive wine list and knowledgeable server made it a memorable spot!

Food and service were fine but lacked that next-level quality.

Great food. Small plates. Average service. Very loud.
We enjoyed a great experience. We had a reservation but arrived early and asked if we could sit at the bar, where Shay took excellent care of us. We started with the happy hour oysters, which were fresh, ice cold and deliciously briny. We followed with the caviar, American waygu and a decadent desert. A lovely and memorable evening.
Enjoyed, but can be pricey just doing tapas
Service was great. We had oysters and the lobster rolls....they were okay.
We went late after the Knights game. The wine list was ok, but nothing with any age and limited selection. The bacon wrapped dates were excellent, the beef empanadas were good, but I have had better. Service was excellent.
Worst food EVER!!!! It was not worth our time or money. My husband got sick.
We love this restaurant! Breakfast was amazing and portions good. Avocado toast and eggs Benedict great! Mimosas awesome!!
Two of us of shared about 8 different small plates. While they were all very good the standouts were the bacon wrapped dates, octopus, tuna and brussel sprouts.
Bring your wallet, the menu is pricy and it’s tapa style plates. That said, everything was delicious! They forgot our empanadas but made up for the inconvenience. Good service, I would have liked to have another cocktail and had to ask. The water person was on his game! Overall experience wry good. The DJ music had us dancing in our seats.
Sugarcane has an interesting theme. The food was great.
Food was generic but good. Not like the first few times I came here. The service and location are great.
We enjoyed our lunch, but did have a bit of a time getting our server to bring our check. She was lovely, and just very busy.
When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by the hostess and taken to our seats. Our waiter soon greeted us and brought water and a drink menu. Though happy hour was only at the bar, our kind waiter asked his manager if we could have it at the table. The manager kindly agreed and stopped by our table to greet us.
My son ordered a small steak with wild mushrooms while my husband and I ordered 2 dozen raw oysters, the Pork Ear Pad Thai Papaya Salad, and the Chicken with Wild Mushrooms and Potatoes. They bring things out as they're ready so we didn't get everything at once, but that was fine. We took turns eating what was available and had a great time.
My son enjoyed his steak - it was cooked medium rare, which was what he requested. It was very tender, juicy, and flavorful. He even ate the mushrooms, which is unusual because he hates them.
All three of us ate the raw oysters easily and wanted more, but decided to wait until all our dishes were eaten before ordering more. The oysters were fresh and came with a side of horse radish, lemons, and Tabasco sauce.
The Pork Ear dish was heavenly. I am afraid of eating unusual body parts, but our waiter assured me I wouldn't even notice they were pork ears, and he was right. The fried ears were crispy, crunchy, and warm (freshly made). They were tossed in strings of papaya and carrot, and then dressed with a light and sweet dressing, and sprinkled with cilantro, slices of jalapeno, and other herbs. The dish was so tasty, we ate it with the quickness.
Our chicken, wild mushrooms, and potatoes dish came out last. It was a whole chicken! It was nice and tender, and the presentation was beautiful. My husband and I couldn't finish it, so we got the rest packed up to go. I did wish the chicken was a little saltier - it tasted a little bland because of that, but everything was cooked perfectly well. The mushrooms and potatoes were tender.
We had a wonderful time here and will for sure come back again when we are in Vegas!
This was one of the highest rated restaurants on Zagat and Open Table. We were not disappointed. Extremely friendly and gracious staff. The three of us had numerous sharing plates - all were delicious and just the right portions. It's off from the gaming area of the Venetian casino. Would definitely go back.
We were going to see Jackson Browne, and wanted to eat at the Venetian. Checked out the menu and it looked good. It's a tapas type bar, so they had a lot of selection. The waiter was nice and knowledgeable, and everything was great. We had the stuffed dates with bacon, which were delicious, as was the smoked salmon pizza, and the short ribs...also amazing. It was pricy, no question, but we'd eat there again.
Went during happy hour and ordered one of everything! Pig ear pad Thai was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The bone marrow and spicy pork shoulder off the main menu was also pretty phenomenal.
We enjoyed our brunch at Sugar Cane; our waiter was warm and friendly.
Delicious food and our waiter was amazing!
Too fast don't let enjoy the food. Nothing special.... lacks of good dish presentation...there is not a good balance between price snd quality
Not what I was expecting. Felt taken advantage of given all the positive reviews. Small place, fairly loud, pricey for not much food and food nothing particularly special, lackluster service. Waiter spoke very fast. Food that had fallen on the floor outside the table was just left there. Cocktails were good but again on the small side.
Very fresh food!
Fabulous happy hour food with delicious oysters, lobster rolls, and pig ear pad thai (my favorite). Actually, everything on the happy hour menu is tasty--we tried it all. We went with children, and they were happy to accommodate us at a table because of the minors. The food comes out very fast and service is friendly and efficient. We all enjoyed it (even our foodie kids) so much so that we went back a second time during our stay. I can see that this would be a fun place to go to a a couple without kids or in a group.
Amazing oysters - gotta go for happy hour
Amazing service. Server brought us mimosa after mimosa and was very kind.
JR, Taylor, and Kenneth were fantastic and took the dining experience to a whole different level of greatness! From the happy hour menu, taste, overall feel.....it was an amazing experience; definitely recommend!
Service a little slow , wasn’t a busy night
The restaurant was quite hot , not aircon and you had to use the casino toilets , so we had to leave the restaurant.
Over all still a nice place to eat , deserts are very good
It’s pretty loud and right off the casino floor. Food is good but not great and we had dishes that were pretty inconsistent. Bonus points for having a great happy hour menu and drink though!
We went for Las Vegas restaurant week, which the Venetian extends for a full week past the other locations. We had great service the whole time, with exceptional food at an unbeatable price. Thanks so much guys for all you did!
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed our Restaurant Week menu and truly hope to see you again soon!
