   ***Update: A manager at Sugarbacon called me today to apologize for our brunch experience yesterday. He made no excuses, but assured me that his management team had carefully reviewed their buffet pricing, food, and fee strategy yesterday and agreed that it did not reflect the experience that strive to provide. He issued us a full refund and the opportunity to return for a fully-comped meal ordered from their menu. I appreciated his reaching out and am willing to give them another chance. ——————— Bad brunch experience at Sugarbacon in McKinney today. Brunch buffet was just ok, nothing special and food was barely warm. Mimosa flight was nice and service was fine. After we left, we noticed they’d added a 20% service fee for our party of 4 (before gratuity). I spoke with the manager later to ask about the extra service fee, but he seemed unconcerned and just said we should’ve read the receipt more closely. True enough, but we will never go back to Sugarbacon. There are many other better options in Downtown McKinne

   Only giving four stars because I was anticipating the regular menu. They only had brunch.

   Hostess and waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Food was tasty and lived up to expectations. McKinney is not our normal area. We were there only to meet “half way” for friends coming from far east DFW. Downtown McKinney is a thriving place and Sugarbacon is a great place to visit.

   We love the place, there are so many wonderful servers and staff, very professional while being very personable. Food choice is excellent and is wonderful . We highly recommend

   Great food, the service could use a boost. They leave dirty tables all over and forget to bring you the things you ask for. They have upscale prices with a roadside diner attitude. There’s no real “dining experience“. Food is good though!

   I have to say that Sugarbacon is an incredible find. Nestled at the corner of nostalgic downtown McKinney, they offer affordable dishes that the recipes and taste stand out from the rest who might have the same dish. I would absolutely highly recommend Sugarbacon. I don't live in McKinney, but if I did, this would be a "go to" place for me.

    Their food is absolutely delicious! I love going to eat at Sugar Bacon!!! Had a delightful waitress named Mallory! Wonderful experience!
