Consistently fresh and tasty menu that is updated regularly and coupled with a solid range of beers, wines and Mexican cocktails. Service is fast and never overbearing. Ambiance is perfect for after work dining and catching up with friends. Highly recommended, and it pays to book ahead on Friday nights.

Really fresh and tasty tacos - particularly enjoyed the cauliflower. Great selection of tequila's. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Only suggestion would be to liven up the decor a little!

Great food and service. Live locally and have been wanting to try, was not disappointed. Lamb taco YUM!! Cauliflower taco AWESOME!!! Margarita perfect for Saturday night catch up with mates

Friendly and attentive service, fresh tasty & modern take on Mexican tacos & tostadas, & they do a very nice Margarita as well. Happy atmosphere, intimate & lively.

My boyfriend and I were so excited to try Sugar Skulls as we watched it come alive during the building process. It looks soooo good. Unfortunately our expectations were largely unmet. Initially it was so hot entering as there is no air conditioner, only a big fan. Beer on tap - one of the main reasons we were looking forward to dining here - was not in action due to a maintenance issue & when asked about it we were told the they weren't sure when it would be fixed... :( The food was, to be blunt, terrible. It was like a really strange Asian fusion of sweet pickled style carrots and papaya etc with a slight Mexican twist , being the corn tortillas and the cumin spiced pork. The chicken taco was inedible with an odd "fishy" tasting mayo. And WHERE WAS THE CHILLI!?!?! No chili except for a few pieces of garnishy jalapeño. The tortillas were cold which gave them an uncomfortable texture in the mouth. Pico de gallo was very average, tasting mostly of cilantro & desperately needed SALT. We really wanted to have a great experience here as it is local and a niche concept for the area, but unfortunately we won't be returning. They need to seriously think about their food. Choose one idea and stick to it. Simply put - serve better Mexican style flavours or fusion flavours that work better together and have a more appealing beer on tap/list. And CHILLI CHILLI CHILLI!!! Warren was such a lovely guy (we assume the owner) I really hope this feedback is constructive for the better of his business which has huge potential. He is probably the only redeeming quality of the place at this point for us.

Great food and drink. Had a yummy cocktail and enjoyed all the food. Loved the fit out of the restaurant. Waiter was very good, friendly and helpful. Didn't rush us with ordering. Only criticism would be that there is no aircon! We dined on a 30 plus degree day and it was a sweat box! Would have stayed longer and had a few more drinks if it was cooler inside.

Ambience suffered as it was a quiet lunch but service was excellent and super patient. Food was great.
