   Amazing service!! Lydia at the door made sure we had the best table. Michael, the manager was extremely hospitable and took care of us throughout the whole night. And Joanne, our server, was magnificent!!

   Amazing ambiance - rooftop, cool breeze even in hot Miami Summer, great music, expensive cocktails, small bites, all of what we love here in Miami. Perhaps Brickell's finest venue, a true addition to this sexy burgeoning metropolis.

   Overall, the experience was pleasant. The place is on a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of the downtown area of Miami. I went for dinner with my daughter. We arrived at 7pm so we got a nice view of the sunset. The place is very well decorated with private spaces and lots of greenery. The bar is at the center and is made of wood, resembling a Pagoda. Nice music and attentive staff. With all that being said, when we made the reservation, Open table did not mention that there's a minimum expense of USD 100 per person, which came as a shock. We had to move to the bar to avoid the charge.

   This was our second visit to Sugar. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. We were aware of the $200 minimum with the reservation of a table. I had no problem with that and we arrived a bit past 8 pm for our 8:30 pm reservation this past Saturday. Upon arrival we were guided to a table that I thought was temporary while a regular table was being prepared. This table was for toddlers, the size little children play and have their meals! When I reached out to Duart, the fellow who seated us , he confirmed that was our table for the evening and unfortunately there was not other table at that time. Immediately I told him that was not acceptable, that I was not prepared to have dinner at a mini table in the middle of the passage way surrounded by what seemed like giants compared to us at almost ground level. He indicated that we could stay at the bar but we would have to give up the table which we immediately did. Adding salt to injury we observed how two separate couples sat on the mini tables and ordered drinks without the $200 requirement. I do have to admit that Duart was very professional and apologetic. He tried to get reservations for us at other nearby restaurants with no success, but he did try. Sugar ruined our wedding anniversary dinner and obviously we have no plans of ever return.

   The staff arranged us a table for dining but several pretentious patrons refused to move away from the table. They told the staff they were not going to move which broke out into a full-blown fight five girls jumping on one of the security staff. Drinks were spilled all over us. This is a very beautiful place but it's also a place of the $40,000 millionaire. Lots of posers, lots of people trying to look important with nothing going on.

   No no No! Really all this beauty and no function. True miami. Terrible food, tried every thing on the menu to hopefully find anything good, No! Fixed tips on bills servers good careless. Only bar in Miami where you have to fight the crowd to find your server to beg for a drink. To bad the view is so fantastic. get your act together please!

    It was my first time at Sugar and my best friend and I completely enjoyed everything about it! The ambience was spot on! The people were friendly and it was a great spot to meet new people. I will definitely be going again! I definitely recommend this spot!
