The absolute WORST!!!! Even with a reservation we were seated 30 minutes after arrival. We ordered our food and waited over an hour for cold hard fries and only 2 of the 5 people in our party received food orders. When we asked for the many, he took nearly 30 minutes to come to our table and he offered us a free dessert. This is while acknowledging the food was subpar and the majority of our party still had no food including the Birthday girl. By the time the rest of the order came out, the food was over cooked, and nasty.
I will NEVER go back.
I had a reservation for 730 didn’t get seated till 8 otherwise it was great.
They were running behind as far as seating us but the manager gave us a round of drinks for free which we greatly appreciated.
I made reservations without reading the reviews first. HUGE MISTAKE! My reservation was at 5:45PM my party was not sat until 6:30PM. In essence there was no point of making a reservation. Slow service. Horrible food. We ordered a goblet that came out nothing like the image & after asking the waitress I was informed that they were out of many of the ingredients for said goblet. That would be something that you would inform the customer of PRIOR to bringing out anything else. Waited very long for food, some of our party had their food before we even got the beverages order at the beginning of our visit. There was something wrong with every plate on our table. When visiting the host stand to request a manager there was no one at the host stand & we overheard our waitress complaining about our table to another employee. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I explained the entire situation to the manager Tom who's solution was to give me a birthday celebration & remove the late arrived beverage from my bill. I declined the birthday celebration as I did not want to wait any longer. After a few moments another manager Keith came over to see what solution his fellow manager was able to offer us. Unfortunately to me the previous solution was sad to say the least. Keith was very polite, offered to reduce the bill a bit more and extended another visit with reservations (complimentary). Keith did his best to handle the situation but it seemed issues were happening left & right. Overall the manager Keith handle the situation well & tried his best to rectify and relate. Despite his efforts I DO NOT think I will be returning to this location. This was the worst diner experience I have ever had and not to mention on my birthday.
H O R R I B L E. I read the reviews but didn't think they could possibly be true.
Boy, was I wrong. I believe every single one of them now.
The noise level is beyond energetic. It is VERY loud.
My 9 yr old said this was the worst birthday ever.
She was really looking forward to getting a "smoky drink."
(That was the only good thing of the visit)
We were here 3 HOURS, the birthday girl's meal was not put in by our waitress, she waited 1 hr for her pasta!! and I did not eat my dinner, I had lost my appetite by the time everyone was served and we were ready to eat.
Saw our waitress once, when she "placed our order" and that was all. Never came back to ask if we wanted another drink or something else- nothing.
The manager finally slowed down and spoke to us and tried to compensate for the horrible service and staff, but our night was over. He really tried his best, but nothing in the world can make up for the horrible night we had. My daughter's birthday dinner was ruined. She actually asked me if we could stop by McDs on our way home.
They could really use a bigger space, extra- helpful- waiters/waitresses, more staff in general and help for the manager, even though he was kind at the end- he seemed really overwhelmed and stressed.
This was my 1st time being here don’t think I will return, the food and drinks are Aesthetically appealing but the taste is nasty both the food and drink,, the drink taste like a combo of every soda and juice there is, all mix together. I got steak, egg, and potatoes when it came out it looked good but the steak was too chewy I couldn’t swallow it, the potatoes was dry and the eggs when I lift it up the bottom was brown.
It was wonderful
I visited the Pentagon City location and although I made reservations weeks ahead of time we still waited over an hour to be seated. The food was ok. The drinks were the only thing that was enjoyable. if its your birthday or special occasion they do a song and dance type experience but that's only if you purchase an expensive dessert ($99) It was a very lively experience for all ages! the only issue was the wait was too long even with reservations. The signature drinks are $30 a pop but I feel was worth it. The only way to reserve a table is through open table. The only to guarantee a seat when you arrive to prepay for a party and your party must be 12 or more people.
Had a reservation @ 6:15 pm & didn't get seated until 6:45 pm. Terrible management of reservations & seating. They held a table for 12 for 30 minutes rather than seating those waiting because they had paid in advance. Food was terrible...no seasoning on burger as well as more than half the cheese missing...would not go back.
I would not recommend this restaurant for special occasion at all. We were seated 40 minutes after our reserved time through OpenTable. The seating is horrible. They really need to upgrade their furniture. Most of the dining tables had folding chairs used at a home picnic, and worn wicker chairs. This is really not an upscale restaurant for an upscale location in Arlington, and I will not be going back. What a waist of time and money.
I don’t know why I expected this to be a good spot for a grown up birthday party. I guess I let the celebrity branding get to me. It looks as though this place is just a zoo for children’s parties. The parking is a nightmare. I made a reservation and showed up early and with a smaller group, and due to them overbooking still had to wait almost 45 minutes for my table, which turned out to be a joke....we literally had folding chairs. Our waitress was friendly but inattentive, we sat for about 20 minutes without any water. Our drinks were not worth the price; they were a goblet full of ice with a very unappetizing lump of dry ice in the bottom, with a few gummies thrown in but the ice-to-beverage-content ratio was complete garbage. Also. To eat we ordered TWO THINGS: A spinach dip and a slice of chocolate cake. We sat there for about 45 minutes to an hour before the cake came out, with sparklers and crap that I didn’t ask for/didn’t want, and it was past an hour when the dip finally arrived. I felt robbed after I saw the bill. Never would come back and told all of my friends to avoid coming here.
I had a very great time . Food was good and service was excellent . I look forward to coming back or visiting the one in Chicago
Management was very helpful for a Birthday get together for my daughter how turned 14 thanks Guy’s
Unfortunately i did not have a good experience during my visit! I expected so much more from this establishment however i was pretty let down! My party of 3 waited almost an hour for our food however larger parties came in, were seated and served before us! My waiter Adrian could not explain what the hold up was, the manager came out and also stated he had no idea why our food had not arrived! Thankfully the manager took care of the bill of 96.40 with the exception of our drinks! Sorry but I won’t be back😔
Let’s not forget that we were seated on flimsy lawn chairs smh 🤦🏽♀️
Mediocre food and for some reason all of the servers were slammed so the very nice hostess has to do everything for us.
The Sugar Factory was a fun, dining experience for my daughter’s 13th birthday. The service was excellent and the food was exciting. We ordered a watermelon goblet which was easily shared by 4 girls. It was exciting to watch the beverage smoke from the dry ice and the candy pieces at the bottom of the glass made the drink festive. We also ordered dinners. Everything tasted great and the portions were large. I recommend sharing meals. For dessert, we each ordered an insane milkshake. The shakes are beautiful but the toppings are mostly for show. The lollipops, candy, and cake that came on top of the milkshakes were hard, difficult to eat and not very tasty. The shake does not come with a fork or side plate to eat the piece of cheesecake that came on top of it. By the end of our meal, we all had terrible stomachaches. The food is rich and filling. Next time, I’d eat dinner someplace else and walk a lot before heading to Sugar Factory for dessert. Overall, this is a great place to celebrate a birthday.
We went to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday. Countless staff members wished her happy birthday as they passed by, which was so unexpected and great. All the staff was efficient and courteous. We really liked our server, Treasure.
Sugar Factory Pentagon was an interesting experience. Our server was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Menu is LARGE! It was so hard to choose between the offerings. Everything is very overpriced but you are paying for the experience which is fun and unique. Only take-away from this restaurant is its location. AWFUL to find parking, definitely try to take the metro or plan to walk far. The music is great, lively and current but NOT censored so mind that if you bring children. Food was out in good timing and portions are large. Out of my party of 8, 6 out of 8 people enjoyed their food.
Friends and family get together.
The chicken wings & the chicken that was included with chicken and waffles didn’t seem to be cooked fresh. Tasted like it was old. We were surprised when we received our bill & learned that the “Drake”, an alcoholic beverage we purchased was $30!
Was told that if I made a reservation on open table that I could possibly get a table, but at the moment they have an hour wait. So, I ended up making the reservation on open table. Ended up waiting 20 minutes because the girl "forgot" that we were standing right in front of her after reservation was made already. Then we get seated next to 15 children under the age of 7. Mind you we are all upper 30's women who came out to get some dinner. The children in the next table were running around the entire restaurant like it was a play ground. Women yelling for their children, drinks spilling, children sliding. Asked to be moved, was told that someone specifically requested the booth we wanted in the corner and then 10 minutes later we were told that we could have it. No silverware just cups of nasty tasting tap water that was Luke warm. Got our drinks (- only great tasting thing that night). Then ordered a sandwich with fries. Fries and sandwich came out 30 minutes later and they were hard and cold. So the waiter remade the fries. Waiter kept coming over and asking if we wanted a check. We were still talking and eating. So I was a little confused as to why.. did his shift end? did he have an emergency? he had to go? idk. so I asked him did your shift just end? because we will more than happily pay the check and leave if that's the case. He said no no take your time. Came back 5 minutes later with the check and said "take your time" no rush. meanwhile he's walking in and out of the back door, walking past our table to clear the table a million times checking to see if we paid.
This restaurant was over hyped. The floor was disgusting as everything that was on the table was just wiped off onto the floor. The drinks are $30 or more so be prepared for this as the prices are not listed. The food was good which made up for the sticky floor. I don’t know that I would go to this location again but overall it was not that bad.
Reservation was for 3:15PM, arrived early, table wasn't ready. In fact, the hostess hadn't read my note that I needed a booster seat, it was too unorganized and chaotic. I'm sure the party in front of us that didn't have a reservation were seated first, as their party trickled in, by the way I had a 3:15PM reservation. Kids were running around unsupervised, in the tight quarters. One set of doors were operable, yet there was only one sign stating so from the outside, so a couple of kids rough-housed my toddler trying to exit out of the wrong door. Of course, the adult was outside not watching them, of course she came inside the restaurant yelling and cussing at me in front of the entire restaurant. Of course, there was not security or hostess at the front during this time. Surely the woman's teenaged daughter bumped my daughter as a form to start a fight. All this and we couldn't be seated because there was no silverware available. We were seated at 3:38PM. We were told we had to wait until our waiter "cashed out" a table of 20, who had surrounded her trying to get their receipts correct. A waiter not assigned to my section volunteered as our waiter, I had to tip him just as much as the bill b/c he was so awesome. The kitchen door kept slamming against our table for a total of 3 times. There was horseplay in the kitchen the first time my table was hit. I spoke with two managers, at one point our table was the talk of the restaurant thanks to the slammed swinging kitchen door. The second manager, along with the volunteered waiter provided two free Goblets and a birthday package, still it wasn't worth the trip from Arundel County. I've filed a BBB complaint.
I WOULD NOT recommend this place the food is not very good, the music was not inviting and was putting us to sleep and the service was no better. We were there for a birthday celebration if I wanted to be bored I could have gone somewhere else for half the price.
This was the best time I've ever had in a restaurant! Pentagin/Arlington surprised me. It was perfect for my birthday celebration! I'vebeen telling EVERYONE I know about this location. The food was amazing and the drinks are great. My first visit was at the N.Y. location in the fall. My friends and I are definitely going back!!
Our waitress Danny she was wonderful, the host at the front was kind of rude but overall i will come back just to get Danny.
Space and seating is limited. We made reservations at 7pm and did not get seated til after 8pm. These reservation was made two months in advance. The food took an hour to come out and not every guess received their food at that time.
Expensive for no reason, food was ok but typical. Drinks were expensive and not that good. My daughter enjoyed it!
Even though I had a reservation I still had to wait an hour to be seated. Once I got seated I had to ask for my server. Things improved after the server came.
We were not seated until 30mins after reservation time. It took forever to get a glass of water and order. We were there for a total of three hours and we only ordered three of the signature drinks and four items from appetizer menu e.g sliders, salad, two orders of wings. Not worth the money or time.
Although, I made a resveration, we still waited close to two hours before being seated. After being seated, we waited an additional hour without anyone ever coming to take our order. Being that we had four starving children, we decided to get up and leave the restaurant. I think their reservation option is pointless as you will wait just as long as everyone else. A big disappointment for both me and my daughter!
I had a reservation and still never got seated with my 8 guest. The place was full of small children, the bathroom was gross and I would never go there again.
Service was horrible
Made a reservation for a friend for her birthday and put in reservation notes about it and her name. The host was very nice when she was running a few minutes late. No one ever acknowledged that it was her birthday and when she asked if it was in the notes the host said no. The server they had seem very unhappy with having to be in that day. He was rude when they received a beverage in a cracked glass. The server rolled his eyes often. He argued with the birthday girl about her dessert and then brought out the wrong dessert. When she mentioned this he went and got a menu and angrily flipped through it until he realized then he ordered the right dessert. He never apologized. He was rude and not present when needed. He also kept taking other tables and they seemed dissatisfied with his service. When it came time for the bill they wanted it separated a certain way. He said sure and then proceeded to split in incorrectly. When they brought this to his attention he rolled his eyes again and stomped back to the computer. A brunch that should have taken 2 hours instead took almost 4.
An overall great experience but everyone needs adderall to be there.
I had a reservation planned for 7:45 showed up at 7:25 and was told I’d be gotten as soon as the table was ready. However I seen two walk-ins get seated first and waited till 7:55 and it wasn’t until after I approached them that they seated me. I also requested during the reservation if it wasn’t possible to sing happy birthday as I noted it was a special occasion..... that also did not happen until I followed up with them. It was a poor experience and unfortunately it did not live up to my expectation.
The food was regular. We had to no -alcoholic drinks and shared and appetizer. The bill was 89.00! With a reservation we still had to wait. The food was the worst part of the whole experience. We saw multiple people send their food back.
Service and food were good but the wait time for your meal needs improvement.
Server was great. But tge kitchen is not organized Ordered 3 drinks.
One was deliver3d 30mins after
2nd drink dlivered 20mins after
3rd drink delivered 15mins after, and it was not the correct drink.
On the bright side the onions rings were excellent.
