It is very loud but fun. We celebrated a 16th birthday there. Unfortunately, they played the wrong song for my daughter and didn’t turn out the lights which was disappointing.
In my reservation special request box I mentioned that it was a birthday and requested a booth, I was not immediately given a booth and the waiter ruined the birthday surprise by continuously asking if we wanted to order the birthday package and describe it in detail in front of the birthday guest. I have been here several times with my young children and have ordered kid sized goblets however was not given a kid friendly option, the food took forever to arrive. I was not asked how I liked my meat or eggs cooked and my stake was not rare but raw so raw that the juices wet all of the food on my plate potatoes bread and everything. I couldn’t find the waiter and had to ask another waiter to find him and when I told him he didn’t take it away he went to ask if he could🤔why do u have to get permission to recook raw food??? There was a water leak in the ceiling which was very obvious because of the buckets in the middle of the restaurant and there were nets and horse flies everywhere! I love the sugar factory but this was the worst experience ever!
A group of friends and I decided to visit this place for their famous drinks. We made reservations at 10:30 and we arrived at 10:20, not expecting to wait for more than 10 minutes. We waited 45+ minutes past our reservation time as we repeatedly watched the multiple, unorganized hostesses seat patrons that had arrived after us, before us. When I addressed the hostess and asked to be seated at one of the several empty tables, she explained that she would “try” to get my group a table. I don’t know why she was “trying” to get a table for my group when the table should have been reserved to begin with. By 11:15, It became clear that the hostess was useless, so we proceeded to seat ourselves at one of the empty tables that i had pointed out earlier. The rest of my experience was enough to satisfy my group.
The entire restaurant is loud and filled with obnoxious teens, so I would not recommend having a family dinner or first date here if you want to speak to your guests at all.
I would recommend making reservations, but clearly it will not make a difference in wait time.
This was a Saturday night as well.
Our seats were less than desirable but we were taken care of by the manager on duty as well as our server. Made sure my date and I were as comfortable as can be, considering. Drinks and food were AMAZING! Service was superb.
I enjoyed myself and my daughter enjoyed herself as well for her birthday
First time here, Super fun spot. Ordered Chicken Alfredo - definitely recommend sticking to burgers and fries. Definitely a bucket list item - for drinks and desserts.
JUST TAD BIT ON THE RACHET SIDE
The Service was ok.. Had to wait/ask for syrup to go with my waffles. Chairs weren’t clean had to ask server to clean table and whip off my chair. It wasn’t even crowded.. would think twice about going again.. food was just ok !!
Server Keyonna was great! Manager Mike was amazing! I’ll definitely recommend the sugar factory
Great place to reeat the kids. The food is descent ss well.
Horrible!! Music was so loud on the blown speakers at 4pm on a Saturday. Could not even hear my kids speaking. Maybe ok if this was a night club. Not kid friendly
Was there for my son’s birthday. Our server Mike was great; however, the food was not great. The cheeseburger sliders I ordered were cold along with the fries.
My first visit, and although the revuews were bad I wanted my own experience. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The food was giid but the dessert was blah...the ice cream waa was melting and the presentation was not what I expected. I apoke to a manger and she aaked me tobreturn the nice day to make it right. On arrival the next day with no reservations we were seated IMMEDIATELY and ordered our dessert and to our surprise, it was on her. We've already made reservations to celebrate our birthdays there later this year
We had a great experience at the Sugar Factory. The food is great and priced very well. The drinks are expensive but tasty and shareable. They have celebrations for special occasions that allow you to pick a song.... these celebrations turn the restaurant into a live, energetic ambiance everytime.
I picked my Aunt here for her birthday from North Carolina and she had a wonderful time she stated "I enjoyed every minute" this will be one birthday she will never forget. The waitress was friendly and good for making sure we got our orders in a reasonable time and everything was accurate. Two of my friends booked parties for their kids before we left for the night. It was everyone first time their besides me but will not be there last :)
Restaurant was very noisy and LIVELY!!! I didn't understand the drink menu but it looked very nice so I ordered 2......didn't know they were as expensive as they were but it's ok. The food was not the greatest. I had chicken strips, wings, onion rings and mac and cheese balls. It was a very large appetizer. The onion rings were good.....I normally don't eat onion rings and the boned wings were good. I didn't like the tenders nor did I like the mac and cheese balls. My daughter had spaghetti...you can't really mess that up. She said it was ok. My younger daughter had a buffalo chicken sandwich...she liked it. My girlfriend had chicken tenders and she did not care for them. The staff was EXTREMELY energetic when doing the birthday celebrations which was really a good thing. It took me some time to adjust to the noise level but the over all experience was good. I would definitely reccommend the restaurant to friends if they want to hang out and have a good time.
Very poor service with our waiter! Food orders were not correct and it took way too long for our food to come out. Fun for young adults celebrating their bday.
It was amazing
We loved this place! Great music and fun. The employees were so nice and very fun. I loved the dancing and singing for b days and celebrations. If you’re looking for a good time late nights its perfect
Service was awful and took forever for waiter to bring us everything from water to our meal. The ceiling was leaking on my 7 yr. old daughter so we had to switch tables. Second table was so wobbly they moved us a third time. They were out of the lollipop syrup so they could not make the drinks my children wanted. The food was cold and taste was not good. Never going back!!!
Took hubby here for his birthday he loved it. Drinks were great his steak was delicious. My chicken was overcooked but the waffles were great. Burger sliders were juicy and flavorful will go back.
The wait even with a reservation was 45mins to an hour. One of the managers came out asked if all was okay I told him I was waiting for a table. He said let me check on that and never returned. Like what was the point of asking if you aren't going to provide feedback even if I know I still have to wait. The food was ok... slow to come out.... The kids ordered mocktails and was upset since most of the candy froze beneath the ice and the other drink ended up at another table. I chose Sugar Factory so the kids could have the experience however needless to say they do not care to come back
The service was awful. We got seated 45 minutes after our reservations time. The waiter was slow and not attentive. Beware of the price of the big bowl specialty drinks. The prices are not on the menu. I was shocked to see the drink cost $30 when we got bill.
This was a hot ghetto mess. The overall concept is good, but the execution of it is horrible. Everything is overpriced, and no where near worth it. We waited 20 minutes after ordering apps for our server to come back and tell us they didn't have it. When we ordered dinner it was subpar; I can cook better than that at home. And oh, of course when I got ready to order my entree, SURPRISE...they didn't have it. I was ready to go. Ghetto people running around trying to fight the babies daddy baby mama. Think Love and Hip Hop but everyone is broke. Will never EVER happen again!
Dissapointed. Made birthday reservations and waited 1.5hrs but never got seated. Had to go somewhere else to celebrate with my guests. Poorly managed starting with the hostess. Unorganized. Felt like they took priority in taking care of their own. Do not recommend. Need new staff, new rules if hosting large bday parties. Need alot of improvement. Will not retun.
I was very disappointed with how this place treats their customers. I made a reservation for my daughters birthday, once seated they told us they were having a bad day and were out of food but can still do all the desserts things. It was obviously very BUSY, I appreciated the waitress' honesty. My reservation was at 2:30, I asked may we leave get some lunch and come back at 5:30 so we can have my daughters birthday celebration. The waitress said that would be perfect! Came back at 5:30, the hostess said we would have to wait, I explained we had an existing reservation, why would I have to wait? The hostess said they had an unreserved party of 35 walk in.... Then proceeded to say I should come in the middle of a week when it is not so busy. This is unprofessional response and I did not appreciate the fact I had a reservation, and I was trying to be accommodating to the establishment because I appreciated the waitress' honesty. I walked away I was so upset, my sister in-law spoke with management and the she got us in and discounted everything. The manager handled everything well, there were many other upset costumers yelling at her. As she handled everything well, this establishment cannot continue to run in this manner, staff looks stressed and burned out. If this is primarily a reservation only place, it should be held to those standards.
I planned a 6th wedding anniversary brunch at Sugar Factory and was deeply disappointed by the experience. The only positive thing I have to write is that we were greeted very warmly, seated promptly, and wished a happy anniversary by a kind hostess.
At first our server was very kind and helpful. We placed an order. 45 minutes later we were told that the ingredients for our food was unavailable and we needed to pick something else. We declined and left. Thank goodness Shake Shack is next door.
Our hour at the restaurant was loud. OpenTable calls it energetic - I call it very hard to talk. Energetic sounds positive; this was uncomfortable. The birthday music for birthday parties in house was a thoughtful touch but also too loud for dining.
The menus were sticky and uncomfortable to touch.
The women's restroom had two stalls. One was labeled unable to lock. I used the one without the label. I locked the stall door. Someone still walked in on me.
I am very disappointed in this establishment. I expected more from a place that caters to celebrity birthdays, sweet confections, and warm advertising. I did not enjoy my hour there, I do not recommend dining there. I feel very sorry for the families who had to pay quality prices for a sub-par experiences.
My service was very poor I got there at 1:15, I was a little late cause of parking. Nobody came to my table til 1:50. I had to ask who was my server. Around 2:20 I still had t had my drink. The. The head chief come out and said they didn’t have any ham for the club sandwich. She said she would be back n two mins. I wasn’t happy with my service, it was my sister birthday, she wasn’t happy either so we left.
Service was slow, food order came out separate and some orders took almost a hour to come out. Food was okay. Nice restaurant for kids.
The service was great especially the host whose name was Donna
Dandre was our server and was very attentive ( myself being in the serving industry ) the restaurant itself was dirty. For the pricing of this place there shouldn’t be crumbs on the table nor should it be dirty. The sliders we got were a little under cooked .
It was ok ... expensive though
Great restaurant and so much fun
It needs to bigger to accommodate more people and s
Especially groups, and more dine-in locations in Maryland, Virginia and DC
Food was good. Macaroni balls were bland and could use different cheeses in it. The burgers were good. The drinks were phenomenal of course. Our waiter could've managed the table a little better. It took forever to get lemon slices, napkins, and silverware. Management is extremely good and made our experience great. They really saved the day.
Made a 245pm appt and arrived ontime, but still waited a hour to be seated. Nothing was done to ease the frustration. We opted to stay because we waited for a hour and it was a special day for my daughter.
Worst location I have ever been to! Waitress didn’t get to the table until 30min after we were seated. Tables were dirty. The wait staff was just all around horrible. Complete waste of money.
Horrible restaurant, horrible food. Crazy, horrible ambiance!
We had a party of 5 people and 3 out of the 5 that ordered, they told us they ran out of the ingredients to do what we picked for dinner. Come on, on a Friday night?!?!
The steak that one of my guests ordered was the most terrible steak with the saltiest mashed potatoes ever. I will never come back to this place again! Horrible all around. The food is by far the worst food ever!
The Sugar Factory was very exciting and energetic. I went to have fun and I did. My daughter suggested this location as she had one of her bachelorette events here. We have made plans to return!
