I was really afraid to go to this location based off of the horrible reviews. I’m glad I took a chance and went because I had so much fun! We only waited about 15 minutes to be seated for our reservation even though it was a crowded night , and our server really hooked us up. The food was great, the music was great, and the atmosphere was energetic ! Im definitely coming back !
We visited the Sugar Factory in New York and had a great experience but this one not so much. It took forever to get cocktail and appetizers. Appetizer was not complete and they never made it right. Pasta was very dry and appeared to have been reheated. Portion was small compared to what we had received at the other location. Chicken sandwich and fries were good that another person had, pasta and salad not so much.
Amazing waiter. Terrible timing.
Staff is friendly but “Service” is horrible. (Actually the staff have a great attitude under all the pressure. )
It was a Monday night. Restaurant full of people and only two servers (one was the manager). Ive gone before on the weekend and had mediocre service but thought that it was just because it was a busy weekend. I also read all the bad reviews on Sugar Factory service but also thought that it was only because the people had gone on the weekend when its most likely to be extra busy. My Reservations were for 8:15 and they didn’t even “take” our drink orders until 9:15. Drinks came 9:45 and it’s $30 a drink. Great concept but poor execution‼️
Horrible service, got our food before our drinks. All the food was wrong. Just overall horrible
We had reservations but still ended up waiting 30 minutes before we were seated. After we placed our order for our drinks, appetizers, and food we had to wait another hour before our meals were served. Our appetizers were brought out in a timely fashion, but our drinks and meals were not. The goblet drinks were delicious. I ordered an American honey cocktail and it was half the size of the drink pictured in the menu, one of the cocktail ingredients was cream which ended up separating from the rest of the ingredients and it ended up looking very unappealing . Our food was mediocre at best, for the cost it was subpar. One positive- the hostess had a great attitude.
we made a reservation weeks in advance and had to wait a good 45 minutes for a table because apparently other bigger parties (with party planners) had reserved half of the restaurant. and they apparently take precedent. We were told by the hostess that “making a reservation just secures us a table but not a specific time”...??? Weird because I was able to book a table on open table WITH a specific time. We came early, we waited a good 45 minutes and “luckily” a larger party planner party that was already set up cancelled last minute which then allowed us to be seated even though we already had a reservation??? Crazy...
Terrible everything and extremely over priced. Deffinetly for the young crowd. Save your money. Poor management.
It’s was a lovely experience my host Terri was great, the music was great. The staff was great sugar factory will be my spot see you again next Friday.
Had an amazing time. The service and the food was great. The drinks were beautiful and tasted amazing
Hands down, the worse restaurant I have ever been to! McDonalds is fantastic next to Sugar. The food is not edible. The desert is honestly garbage. They use cheap ingredients and charge a fortune. DAiry Queen is gourmet compared to their huge tasteless deserts. It’s a pitiful restaurant where children are eating huge amounts of processed food and sugar. It’s truly a sad pitiful place. The staff is scarily incompetent. They are untrained and not smart. Go anywhere else!!!! Run!!!
They need to retrain all staff or hire new ones. They do not understand the meaning of customer service. This place could be a good place for birthdays but they have poor service.
Fun place but the service could be better. The food was good but the service was slow
My husband and I were here as part of our vacation. I had heard about the place and was so excited to try it! Went in around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon and were told it would be a 2 hour wait or we could sit at the bar. We decided to sit at the bar and I looked up how to make a reservation. Reservations were available for 5:15 on here... trying to figure out how it is a 2 hour wait but there’s reservations open for 45min later?
Made our reservation for 5:15 and did not get seated until 5:40. The milkshakes we ordered looked fancy and pretty cool (for $18) but honestly tasted the same as a McDonalds milkshake.
Food was bland and not at all exciting.
Also this place needs better vetelation. We smelled like the smoke filled dining room for 2 days!!
Glad I can say I’ve eaten there and will not return.
I wasn't happy with the service I received. I had a reservation and still had to wait. I had to wait a hour for my food and it was warm. They act like they dont care in there. I will never go back.
0 stars. I made a reservation and had to wait 20mins to be seated when there were tables that just hadn’t been cleaned. The Drake Goblet was supposed to be orange in color it was brown before it was poured into my glass, peach candy was missing and when I asked about it I was told they ran out. Food took over 30mins to get to the table. Although we ordered food and drinks for four. When we informed the waitress we were celebrating two birthday and would like them to sing happy birthday, we were instructed that we had to order a dessert and pay an additional $5.00 for the sparkler. Overall not at all what I expected from the establishment. My bill came in the form of receipt as if I was at Waffle House. After waiting 15mins I walked to the front trying to pay and they insisted I had to pay through my server. This place was pure trash. Service, food, seating, I give 0.
Our food came out late. My food came out cold and I ended up NOT eating.
This was my worst experience every coming here. Brittany who was our server was the worst. She was not pleasant, she does not have great customer service skills, she doesn’t come to check on her tables. She messed up everyone in my party food, the manager had to come and fix our food. she gave us the wrong drinks, they ran out of cup, not to mention we had to wait 1 hour for our drinks.
I never thought my experience would be as bad as it was. Had a reservation and still waited 30 minutes for a table that i had to ask about after waiting so long. Then they say us right away as if they weren't even paying attention. Then we waited just as long for our drinks as the food. Which took 30+ minutes and when it came it was cold and one of our meals was messed up. Then the waiter never came back to our table to check on us. We had to flag her down every time we needed her. And when i was getting the money ready to pay the waiter was standing over my shoulder watching. The worst
Service was slow and the exhaust in the kitchen wasn't working so the restaurant was extremely smoky.
I did not have a good experience. I made a reservation but when I got there, it seemed like what was the point. It took so long for my party to be seated until we left to go somewhere else. There was no estimation on the wait or status update. The music was so loud I could not have a regular conversation. The restaurant was smoky. The food looked good but never got order. I was hyped by the celebrity endorsements, but ended up very disappointed. The owners need to take a look at the operations and make some serious changes.
Terrible service. The food wasnt good at all but the deserts looks delicious but since it took an hourfor the food to come. I wasn’t gonna wait another one for deserts
I bought my husband to the restaurant for his birthday. There is a great food selection.
We ordered 3 Chicken and Waffles. 2 orders were delivered to my table after an hour and the waffles were cold and hard. The 3rd order appeared with only the waffle. The chicken came out about 5 minutes later. All of the waffles were sent back to the kitchen to be remade.
I was to repeatedly ask the waitress for a drink refill and hot syrup. At one point, I asked a different server for hot syrup and didn't even get that from her.
The overall experience at Sugar Factory was not an enjoyable one, pros: the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was fun cons: the restaurant did not adhere to my reservation time, we were seated more than a half hour later the hostess was extremely rude when asked a question is reference to when we would be seated. The server was completely inattentive to our table, it took over an hour to get our drinks because they ran out of glasses. The food took even longer and all but one of us ordered burgers. The restaurant was very very smoky so much that they had the front doors open to air out the place. The manager was nice and comp some of our bill and invite us back on him for our inconvenience.
I had to wait 35 minutes with a reservation, this was unacceptable.
I made reservations a month in advance and still had to wait 45 minutes before I got a table the hostess states everyone had reservation. Then they wanted to charge $35 to serve the cupcakes I brought (it was my 35th birthday). The concept of this place is candy filled alcoholic beverages yet most of the patrons were teenagers. The food took an hour and was overcooked bottom line I will not return and I would not recommend to any adults
We read a lot of bad reviews for this location, but we took a chance anyway and we're so glad we did!! We had a great time! We celebrated my daughter 17th birthday. I think the best thing to do because it's a POPULAR and VERY busy place, you have to go early, especially if you're bringing little ones. We had an 11:45 am reservation on Saturday March 3rd, 2018 and it was perfect we had brunch/lunch. We waited no more than 5 minutes and we were seated. The place wasn't crowed at all. The music wasn't loud to were we couldn't hear each other talk. The food and drinks were great and the service was also great. We recommend the fun milkshakes. Everybody's experience is different try it out for yourself. GO EARLY!
Seating was fast however due to it being busy, food waits where about 30 to 45 minutes and they ran out of candy for drinks. Ordered the Alfredo was bland and greasy. The seafood platter was okay just everything had the same flavor. The shrimp and scallop were mushy. The drinks were great.
The food and drinks were really good. Drinks are very expensive . It’s very loud and the smokyness from
The kitchen is all over the restaurant . I wouldn’t go back.
Birthday party music and vibe was great. The kids loved it. Perfect spot for teens and young adults to celebrate a special event.
My son turned 18 on March 1st. We had reservations for 3 people at 7:15pm. The food did not arrive to our table until 8:47pm. At that point my son didn’t want to wait to order dessert because it would have been an even longer wait. The food was good but the wait for the food was just too long. We ended go going to Coldstone for ice cream. Clearly not the same as having the Sugar Factory experience, but sitting at the table for over an hour and a half before dinner arrives didn’t put a good taste in our mouths. My husband and i were at work all day and hungry. My son was at school all day and went to weight room (he is about to play college football OL position), so he was also very hungry.
We had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation and many tables were open. The hostess was not welcoming. The place was dirty and they we out of things but didn't say until after the order arrived. We ordered the rainbow sliders and didn't get the rubber duck, which made my child unhappy. I will never return to this place.
Despite having reservation had to wait 10 minutes at the door, once we got to set the waiting for a server to get the order was 35 minutes or more, finally, the server came. Took another 40 minutes until the food served. Food was cold not displayed well, very low quality, low test, poor services. Another thing I noticed, soon you enter the whole place smell very bad!
Disappointed in this experience! They were out of a lot of items in which this restaurant is known. The dish ordered wasn't cooked well (raw on the inside) not good for seafood! Items took a while to come out and came out cold. I know this can be better as I've had an AWESOME experience in other locations!
My family and I made ourown experience worthwhile. The hostess was so rude. She completely ignored us when we entered. We stood at the stand where she was for 10 mins before she even said she would be with us in a min. This was a Monday evening and it wasn't even crowded nor was she helping anyone. My turkey burger was pretty good even though they completely forgot to put it in with the rest of my party order. Drinks were ok.
I was not impressed by this restaurant. Compared to the Miami location, this restaurant is horrible. I walked in and walked on a slippery, greasy floor. The table that I was seated in was nothing I expected. The menus were sticky, dirty tables around me, and extremely noisy. I won't hold the noise level to them as that depends on the crowds. I was seated and was brought plastic cups with straws. I was expecting glasses but it's fine. I waited about 20 mins for the waiter to return only to find that my appetizer was sold out. After the unprofessional hostess smacking with attitude, dirty seating area, and buffet type dishes, I was completely turned off.
Hostesses were friendly & accommodated our large group. The location is small for the demand of people so very crowded with limited space in seating areas. The portions are large for certain menu items((desserts)) & Pricey. But, overall worked for a birthday celebration!!
The Sugar Factory was okay food could have been better and they should allow you to pick your own song to plat for your birthday. But overal desserts were great.
It was the worst! Kitchen lost the ticket so it took an hour and 22 mins go get our food. The entree came out before the appetizers. Food was overpriced. I ordered a NY strip and got two little pieces of steak, boxed mash potatoes and 3 little string asparagus. I ordered a martini......tasted no alcohol however I was charged $15.50 for the drink. This place is overrated. I do not plan on going back.
Celebrating my daughter ‘s 18 birthday.
