We were very disappointed 😞.
We made reservations for our daughters birthday. Front staff or waitress did not pay any attention to that. We were greeted with a very unwelcoming vibe with the hostess pressing us over the question whether all of our party was present or not.
Wait staff appeared to be worn out and but very friendly.
Decor was pretty but the location of the restaurant is much to busy.
Service was but good at all.
They served someone extremely foul smelling fish near us.
Menu way over priced for the quality.
We had a great experience. Our waitress a nice young lady made it even better. Wish I could remember her name. Will come back for sure.
Staff was so nice even though they were (or appeared to be) short staffed. Everyone was friendly and attentive.
Didn't wait terribly long for food or drinks.
We have visited the Sugar Factory in Atlanta previously however this was our first visit to the one at Mall of America. My daughter was upset to learn they didn’t have the rainbow pancakes at this location so I had to run and get her Chick fil a while the rest of us ate from your establishment. I didn’t realize that my daughter had placed her box of food on the table and the manager (unsure of name, was from Mississippi) informed us that she would need to put the food down immediately and she wouldn’t ask us to leave on this visit. A simple whisper to myself and I would’ve corrected the situation, instead she made it know in front of all my children and my daughter has cried since we left. She reports that she no longer wants to visit your establishment because she was embarrassed for being told of the possibility to leave. The manager could’ve had more tact regarding the situation however now due to this one incident we will no longer be frequenting this establishment which is a shame. This manager was completely unprofessional and I didn’t address the issue because I didn’t want my children to think it was a bigger deal. I wish someone would address the situation with the manager and she needs additional training to be in the position she currently holds. For us to spend upwards of $200 each visit, the attitude of the manager is unacceptable. Again if she mentioned to me directly and quietly I would’ve corrected the situation. Our server on the other hand was perfect but we couldn’t leave this place quick enough.
Over priced and not very good food.. but the malts were cute and a fun experience for my daughters birthday.. I wouldn’t go back ..
Our waitress was great, the food was great and my kids loved the Smoking drink, the colored burgers and their dessert. Super fun experience. So nice to be able to make a reservation!!
The food was horrible but the drinks were amazing
it was my daughters bday. I spoke to the host, explaining to him abt the special bday. long story short. my daughter got a candle, no song no firecracker. very disappointing
Daughters 6th birthday
Sugar factory is a must eat in diner and place to have fun and enjoy yourself
Super slow service but friendly. It took 20 min to get our beverages. Food and drinks were great!
Checked out Sugar Factory since we had a Social Living deal. I had the Cajun chicken penne pasta. My husband had the Club sandwich. We both enjoyed our ,ears. Mudslide martini was also tasty. Will definitely go back again. It was not busy and staff was very friendly.
We ordered drinks and an app. While waiting on 1 more in our party before we ordered dinner. Our waitress dropped off our check without asking if we wanted anything else. We felt very unwelcome so we paid our tab and left.
Waited one hour for our food, the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talking, they never came around to refill our cups. Even thou I made reservations they still had us wait for our party to come before being seated but we had to stand with no waiting area. Overall I’d never eat at that location again. Went for a birthday celebration terrible experience...3/10
We were greeted by Camil who was smiling and friendly. We had a last minute add on to our reservation and she accommodated it with a smile even know I am sure it created a situation for her as we had a large group. Olivia was our server and she was a BLAST! We were celebrating my Mom's 69th birthday with the KING KONG sunday and it felt like she was having as much fun as we were! Thank you for the great experience and great service. xo
I’ve been to other Sugar Factory’s and the MOA could use some pointers from locations like Miami etc. When I go to restaurants like Sugar Factory it’s not just for the food but a complete experience....service being the top of the list then food and ambiance.
This was a terrible 1st experience. I made dinner reservations 2 weeks in advance for my daughters birthday. They were very clear that we need to be there by 8 or we will not be seated. We were there at 745 and not seated until 820. We sat down ordered our fancy drinks and a simple cocktail right away and shortly after ordered our food our food. Our food came out at a reasonable time but we were still waiting for our fun drinks . That was the whole reason why we chose to come here. We waited ONE HOUR to get our drinks. We were done eating and still waiting. Even a simple vodka soda took that long. I understand there is staffing shortage everywhere right now so I was patient and they said the bar was backed up but what I don’t understand is how other people say down after us and they were getting their drinks. After we finally got our drinks we ordered my daughters birthday dessert right away. That was also a very long waiting process. We were there 2 hours, done eating after 1 hour and the other hour was literally just waiting for our drinks and desserts. It was very disappointing. This place isn’t cheap so I will not be wasting my money here again.
Two waiters for the whole restaurant, long wait times. Food wasn’t special for the price. Even my daughter’s birthday dessert wasn’t good, cookie was hard as a rock. Super expensive, average food, slow slow slow. Expect to spend two hours at least.
It was a birthday so I made the reservations months in advance. Very busy with a low staff level. The waitress was very sweet but didn’t have time to visit our table very much.
The service was great and the waitress they needed a cleaner mop to come out it stink really bad when we spilled some water
Very expensive and not very kid friendly. They don’t offer soda and even the non alcoholic drinks are very over priced for the small glass you get.
Even if I had appointments, they still made me wait 15 extra minutes.
Second time bringing my young daughter here. She loves the aesthetic. The food this time was really bad. Sliders had stale bread. Club sandwich felt like it had been pre made and stashed in a fridge for a long time.
Amazing food and drinks!
For my daughter's birthday, it was a great experience. The kids loved it!!
Our waiter was amazing and it was such a fun 1st experience. I highly recommend anyone to go! You can get the drink bowls as non-alcoholic, it was perfect for the kids to get to experience those cool drinks also.
Food very overpriced. Drinks really fun - kids love that. Malts also very fun. We made reservations a few days in advance for 7. We were packed like sardines at a table more suitable for 4-5. We couldn’t move our feet at all and barely our arms. Server was very nice.
No kids menu, no bathroom, poor service, should be advertised as more of an adult only venue. Seem to cater to a ‘party’ atmosphere only. Loud hip hop music. Thought we were taking the kids to a family friendly restaurant with fun desserts. Not so much.
Our server(Jacob) was very nice. It took awhile for our food to come though.
Service was awesome! Food was fun and tasty! There is an odd smell though that was hard to ignore throughout the restaurant.
We had gone one time before and both ordered fettuccine Alfredo w shrimp and asparagus. We decided to try again. This time for me it was awful. My mom got the penne marinara with chicken, which she said was spicy but good (mouth on fire spicy). I decided to get the Alfredo with shrimp again. It was gross. Cost is $25. When it came out, the sauce was pure liquid like a thin soup. It was separated. Like oil and butter was not properly cooked w the cream. I was nervous I’d get sick as no Alfredo sauce ever looked like that. Server took it back and came out w the same plate refusing to remake saying it would look like this - I explained we got it there before and it was good so why would it be like this. Again she said chef said recipe changed and this is it. I wasn’t comfortable eating it so was told to order a new item (again they REFUSED to remake). Got a grilled cheese and basil tomato soup. Soup was good. Grilled cheese was low quality and wouldn’t order ever again. Fries took longer and were good, but cam after I was half way done w the meal. No was done before I got my meal. With got I think the choclate overboard (brownie ice cream for two). It was massive but good - I’d have 3 to 4 people for it. As we are having dessert, the table next to us have Alfredo w chicken come out and guess what?sauce is perfect. So I complain to the server, who first acts like she doesn’t understand then says oh, well chef said. Asked if I wanted to talk to the chef and I say yes. He apparently is in a basement and can’t talk so the manager comes over - he says well if the chef said and I say you refused to remake saying it was correct yet the table n3xt to me has it right. You wouldn’t remake it-we are talking less than 30 minutes apart are you saying the recipe changed? He was like well there are two chefs. And offed to let me take it home. I said why would I want to have it cold later on. I wanted for my lunch. They covered the meal but doesn’t fix the issue.
Everything was great except the extra gratuity we caught on our bills and had to get that removed.
It was my daughter Sweet 16th birthday and it was an amazing, incredibly awesome experience! First time celebrating here and will do it again for sure. Highly recommended to everyone. Kudos to all staff, all amazing people and really makes this special occasion very memorable! My daughter Alex really enjoyed and we all had so much fun. I want to thank "Bree", our server tonight, I must say she is absolutely a gem, very nice and professional. Truly a great customer service right there. This surprise birthday dinner was a SUCCESS! Thank you Bree for making this day a moment to remember. Salute and I cannot thank you enough for making her feel so special. Thank you all and you guys ROCK! - Alona
It is a fun place, I'll give it that. The mirrors were very dirty, our table wobbled and I found a hair in my burger. Service was a bit slow and we were there at 11:00am so not a busy time. Got the sliders and they would have been amazing minus the long hair in them. Fun drinks and malts for the kids but the drink was a little over priced for no alcohol - $25?! I'd go back for my daughter to experience the fun malt but it wouldn't be a place I'd go after. Needs some major cleaning!
For a restaurant that charges upscale prices, the service was abominable. The server checked back after we had three people waiving their arms at a busser to get the extra plates we requested at ordering. We did it again to get a refill on a glass of water. Food was good. I've had as good a burger for $4 less. The bright spot was the candy store with a handicapped gentleman behind the counter who dealt patiently with two grandkids. Hooray for the candy store guy!
Great experience, good awesome as are the servers ! Well worth the money !
Food was cheap and quite frankly terrible. The fries taste like back alley McDonald’s fries with random herbs on them to look better, but they taste worse and weren’t even hot. All the fried food tasted the same. Pretty unimpressed with the service too. The drinks and desserts here are fun, so if you’re coming; I’d just stick with that.
The drinks are delicious and worth every penny. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, but the tables are a little too close.
Bree made my kids birthday so special, we were able to celebrate both my son and daughter today. Thank you 💕
