Sugar Factory - Meatpacking District
It was ok, sugar factory is really only good for sugary drinks and desserts but to make food mhm needs some practice.
Overpriced Applebee’s level food
Great place for a memorable celebration for kids and grownups
Was good atmosphere but service was very slow and slow response time from our server.
The place was dirty: the tables, the plates, the utensils. The food was served cool, not tasty. The drinks were way too sweet and overpriced. The restroom was filthy and stinky. Came there to celebrate my daughter’s bday, and couldn’t even stay for the cake... Had to leave and go to another place for the desserts... Disappointed:((
Maybe recommend once for the novelty but I have had better food/service at other places that serve similar specialty shakes and desserts. Food was mediocre and service was ok.
Ok but not worth the wait
It was for my friends bday. I arrived at 7 on the dot when my reservation was for and I told the host if she can tell our server to sing happy birthday for my friend (my friend hadn’t arrived yet) she said to me that I had to tell the server myself... I was trying to make it a secret and being that my friend hadn’t arrived yet I thought this was reasonable but no, since I hadn’t been a assigned a server or a table yet I couldn’t do this in secret. My friend arrived at 7:05 and we told the host and she said we will sit you shortly.. we got seated at 7:30pm. We were all hungry and decided since they already took forever to sit us that as soon as the server presented himself we ordered everything from drinks to appetizers to our entrees. It took 15 min to just get us water.. at the 30 min mark we received our drinks and 1 appetizer which was chips and guac (why did that take so long?) then at the hour mark we got our entrees. We were smart enough to have ordered everything at the beginning because if we didn’t we probably would have been there longer than needed because we had reservations for an event that night and we made it there right on time due to our observations at the beginning of slow service. With all that being said.. all the drinks and food were amazing and delicious. The music was loud but enjoyable.. a lot of hip hop and young crowd of people dining. The server didn’t check up on us but thankfully we didn’t need anything. I didn’t bother with the birthday request as I didn’t know how long that would have taken and if we did it we would have been late for our event.
Terrible service. Rude hostess. Waitress made a lot of mistakes, to the point where the meal became so drawn out that one of our guests decided not to have a meal. Then was charged for 2 extra meals. Spilled salad dressing on one of the guests - accident but just another issue. Waitress was rude too.
Food was average. Service was bad, was really slow. Had no cutlery eventually got it after asking three times. Waiting time to be served and food to arrive was really slow. Very overrated
My sister and I took a 21 year old and a 10 year old the day after Thanksgiving at 3pm. The noise level between the pop music and the crowd is a little overwhelming. Tables are squashed together and the restaurant could use a little TLC. This is a place you bring young kids to drink ridiculous, sugary drinks and over the top milkshakes. The food is just so so. This is a destination to celebrate a little girl's birthday. My 10 year old niece loved it! The rest of us couldn't wait to leave.
It’s our second time dining here. The service was slow again. We saw a few tables get up and walk out because it was that slow. Our waitress was good and so was the food. It just took a long time to be delivered to us.
Awful experience - cancelled our reservation bc we were a few minutes late. Then sat us in a back room with NO HEAT! Then the food took over an hour to get and we didn’t even get any discount.
So much fun for the kids. Super crazy, over the top desserts!
Great overall dinning experience. We went for the atmosphere & fun food/drinks.. it was a family dinner while on a NYC vacation with a 12, 9 and 7 year old boys. It was a lot of fun and we were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. I had read reviews that weren’t that favorable and we were pleased with everything we got.
Fun place to dine. We went for ice cream. A little expensive but worth it.
Yummy food ! Great service
Bar area had a funky smell. Candy 🍭... chewy gummy candies were stored in goblets close to the bar area to make drinks. The candies were exposed. Candies should be wrapped in plastic or stored in a covered container. These candies were in glass goblets and although it makes for a pretty colorful display it is exposed to debris, air particles, dust, debris from the floor and sweeping 🧹 the floor etc. These candies are placed inside of drinks meant for consumption. The Bathroom was dirty, and unsanitary. Will never go to this location again.
This was our second time here and the drinks was amazing. The food was American style and was tasty. We enjoyed the overall ambiance! Recommend for adults & children of all ages!
Absolutely awful. My 14-yr old niece asked to come here for a belated birthday dinner. I could have found better ambience, service, and food at a 7-11. I probably could have found more celebrity presence there, too, come to think of it.
Great fun place to bring the grandkids, but VERY expensive!!! Service was a little slow, I think they forgot our order. Three different waitstaff came to table and questioned our order. Saw others get drink orders first then food orders, our food came first then drinks (and not all at once).
I would go there again, but not for a meal and drinks. One or the other!
More of a novelty. Drinks are worth trying but not that great. Very expensive, but when you consider all that goes into them (candy, liquid nitrogen, etc), maybe not all that bad. Food was mediocre at best. I got a burger... was burnt on the outside and rare on the inside... not even close to what I asked for. Bun was terrible. Fries were weak. So... go for drinks or dessert... that’s about it.
We’re not seated until 40 minutes past our reservation, ordered immediately and drinks came 35 minutes later. Food is mediocre at best.
Yes, lot of fun, hard to hear however if you are trying to have deep conversation. This one is considerably smaller 5han the one uptown
We booked it for a birthday and I reminded the host once we got there. I was told our server would bring us a dessert w celebratory bday recognition....
Did t happen and I M really disappointed
Let my daughter down :(
We were there for our son’s birthday. We are local so we knew what it was, you pay for the memory, not great cuisine. We ordered the rainbow sliders, they were good, fish and chips was really fish sticks like right from a box, club sandwich was poor lunch meat, burger was pretty good. Drinks were fun, they are generous with the alcohol at least. Again, server, great, birthday night was great, just make sure your expectations are reasonable and you’ll have a great time.
Great place !! Love the food, drinks, and service was amazing !! Will come back again soon.
Great experience. Service was phenomenal!
Honestly, the only thing I was not happy with was the wait. I made reservations and still had to wait one hour before seated.
Loved everything about it from the food, the drinks and the ambiance. I’ll definitely visit again.
For those who haven’t visited the Sugar Factory get to it. Truly awesome environment for the family with kids and without.
Great restaurant. I love coming here when I visit the city!
Great for one time but very expensive and not that good other than the fun drinks.
Customer service is extremely poor, no care by the host waiters, very bad
The service was great and people very nice. The food was really bad and overpriced. I would not go back and tell people not to go.
Ive been to the Las Vegas Sugar Factory. They wouldnt even claim this location. Seems not the same chain. Took my girlfriend and was totally embarrassed. This location is for children's birthday parties. Dirty, loud, slow service. Still good drinks as the lone redeeming quality.
The restaurant was very nice for my son who has autism and doesn’t like a lot of people or noises. We went on a Tuesday night. The staff especially the manager was very friendly and accommodating! My only gripe was our waitress Ericka she was rather unfriendly in contrast to the rest of the staff. I didn’t feel she deserved a tip she seemed annoyed as well. However I did give her a tip because she still served us.
Service was too slow . Food was not so good . Only two servers on entire floor. Way too long for meals to arrive. Still tipped 20 percent. Only cuz I am a server myself. So I’m just hoping this was a bad night for the restaurant.
They are very friendly the place the staff are patient with new costumers family friendly great place
our waiter was stoned-no one came to check on us until 25 minutes after we sat down-the service was slow-no toilet paper in the bathrooms-all 3 of them-the food was awful and overpriced-the staff were rude-overall a disaster and so much money
