When we first arrived it took a while to be helped, we had reservations for a certain time and had to wait about 20 min past time. The building is needing ALOT of updating and cleaning. However the food was good even though they were out of a lot of items. We knew it would be pricy before going so can’t complain about the prices. Our server Daniel was amazing and made up for the lack of other areas. He worked his butt off!

The decor is nice but the food isn't the great. Drinks were ok but overpriced. I do not appreciate that a 20% tip is included with only having a party of 3. The best part of the experience was taking pictures with my girls. I will not rush back.

You know how you accept the fact you’re going to overpay for food on vacation when you’re captive on resort property or a place like Hawaii that has to import nearly everything? Going to the Sugar Factory was cute and moderately Insta-friendly, but not worth it. Food quality was meh for the price. It was like paying for food at Disney, Universal, or some Bahamian resort except you’re in…downtown Indy. Giant tv screens show footage from other locations with celebrities, making the whole thing feel like a prank pulled on us by some Ryan Secrest type Rasputin. Some picture wall backdrops were lit, some not. The drink menu is filled with “celebrity-designed” drinks offered as intended and as nonalcoholic, but not worth it for a small fishbowl of ice and fruit juice with gummies on top. (Wut?!?!) Wilfred Brimley would drop dead in the doorway of this place if he weren’t already deceased. Decor inside is pretty although I think it’s weird that they’ve had this location for months and the external signage is a vinyl banner you could get printed at Kinkos. Service was pretty good, although they only had two servers for the whole place. Be advised, they add a service fee of 20% to the bill, regardless of party size, but the bill also provides a suggested gratuity amount of 15, 20, 25 percent on the subtotal plus the aforementioned service fee. No doubt some people misread this and double tip. Will not recommend or go again.

While the restaurant wasn't that busy, services was quite slow and it served would go missing frequently. The fried mac n cheese pops were tasty, the rest of the food (burgers, grilled cheese, ginger salad) was fine but certainly not worth the price. The ultimate milkshakes had stale pastries on top so it looked great, but not good to East. The coconut cream and Rootbeer float alcoholic drinks were very good, but we got them before our daughters shakes, several minutes and that was supposed to be our dessert. This location definitely not up to par with Chicago or Las Vegas

Most overpriced, undervalued experience ever. I feel bad for anyone celebrating a special occasion here. Service was terrible, food was wrong, poor and overpriced. Everything took 30-45min to arrive, even though restaurant wasn’t busy (Tuesday night!). Oh, and we were told two of the mixed drinks contained alcohol, when neither did (when we researched independently). Blatant false advertising, and concerning if they have confusion on which drinks do or do not contain alcohol. Icing on the cake was the $400 bill for 2 adults and 4 kids (and zero alcohol) after over 2 1/2 hours at the restaurant, with not a single explanation or apology. This whole restaurant concept is a farce and not worth the money.

Took 3 of my grandchildren for lunch. They had the rainbow sliders (shared) and mac n' cheese. We visited the candy store and bought goodies while waiting on our food. It's a fun atmosphere and the food was good. They loved picking out their candy. It's a little pricey, but nice for special occasions.

The service here was horrible. We were there for over two hours. We only got water once and it was at the very beginning so by the time the food came out we were all out of water. We were never checked on once by our waiter and he seemed to be purposefully avoiding us. It took him 20 minutes to bring out checks and then another 20 to bring back cards and change. We also had leftovers but were never offered boxes and didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes. The food was fair but honestly over priced. Overall not a good experience

We took our daughter there for her birthday and the experience was fun and memorable. The entrees were average at best. I got the grilled cheese meal and my wife had the berry waffles. Both meals were average at best and over priced. My fries didn’t have any salt or seasoning on them. The insane strawberry cheesecake milk shake was good as in the cheesecake part but the milkshake was average. My daughter got the white hot chocolate and it wasn’t good as it had a weird aftertaste. We got one of the $39 drinks and it was good but not $39 good. Our server was amazing and we enjoyed having her! We got the bill and we ALWAYS tip 20% no matter the type of service we receive. They add a MANDATORY service charge that ended up being over $23!!! Never were told about before hand until I saw it on our bill. Our bill came out be $150!!! The restaurant was dirty and needed a makeover even though it has only been open a year. I don’t see this place surviving in Indianapolis due to the high prices and the ridiculous service charge! Between the tip and service charge it added another 40% to our bill. Do better sugar factory. Do better…..

We were extremely disappointed with the service, lack of professionalism, quality of the food, & price gouging. The waitress started off saying how she had coVid the past 11 days, bragged about making over $30 an hour, & laughed that they include a 20% tip even though they do NOT make a servers’s wage. They weren’t even competent enough to check our reservation as attended, costing us the open table points as well. The food resembled freezer fries that didn’t even have salt. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration. It wasn’t even busy. The signs weren’t even all on! What a nightmare.

The restaurant looks ran down. Chairs all stained up and items on the walls missing. We celebrated an event and they didn’t do their dance etc for us. Our soda for our child took forever to arrive. Food was just blah. Our app came out wrong then one of our meals was 15 minutes after the others, which was for a child. We got a Togo back and left. Refills took awhile. just wasn’t impressed at all. Also 20% was added 17% for staff then 3% fee. Spend a lot of money for a family of 4 and none of us were happy with it.

The Sugar Factory Indy is so much fun! Our server Alec was fantastic; friendly, efficient, accommodating and funny. Thank you to Alec and the rest of the service staff for the celebratory floor show complete with song and dance for our special occasion. There is a huge selection of drinks from milkshakes and espresso bar coffees to cocktails. All the drinks are beautiful and most can be prepared with or without alcohol. We tried one of the celebrity cocktails and a flight of mimosas, both were delicious. The desserts all look over the top and the celebration sundae: WOW!! We had a great time at The Sugar Factory, see you again soon for more fun.

When we arrived it took our server quite a while to come to the table and greet us (over 5 mins). We didn’t know what we wanted due to a giant menu selection so we asked for time. She did check on us twice before we ordered and answered a few question. After we ordered she asked if we needed anything else and I said not right now. Even with my staring intently at her she never returned. I really really wanted to order a margarita. About 5 or so minutes before the food came she came back and I asked for a margarita. Then the food came and she never brought my margarita. Instead she stood at both the host stand and the bar and inside the kitchen doors (within eye sight) and didn’t bring my margarita. The food was bland and lacked flavor. I had the sugar factory burger. Honestly for the price it had no flavor. The server said she could not split the bill of the rainbow pancakes between me and another person.. but then did it on the computer. We sat for a while without it even having water refilled. We spent $80 on myself, my spouse and my child and it was honestly highly disappointing and not worth it. I’m hoping it’s just this location because everyone raves about the sugar factory but the other 3 in our party were also not impressed with the experience. Overall.. it reminded me of a crappy steak and shake meal at a jacked up price. Very upset :(

This place is all gimmick and no quality. What a disappointment. Food- Mac and cheese tastes like it is frozen stouffers. Bun on the burger pretty old. Fries - cold. Drinks—completely over priced. Non alcoholic drink was 40.00 and we got about 5 sips out of it — it all froze from the ice in the glass Dessert- the cookie sandwich consisted of stale, old, hard as a rock chocolate chip cookies surrounding a scoop of ice cream (which was the only saving grace) topped by mounds of a cool whip equivalent. What a waste of money.

Sugar Factory is a scam. After terrible service and food that was just OK, they had the audacity to charge a 20% mandatory surcharge so that all of the staff standing around, dancing, not getting refills, or taking plates could be tipped. Then they gave me tipping suggestions for my server based on the total that already included the tip for the rest of the restaurant! After finally talking to someone who could remove the charge, he removed it from my bill and then added it right back on to the lesser amount. It took 42 minutes just to get a Pepsi. I will never, in my life, eat here again and I will make sure none of my friends do either. Trash.
