Very nice place but a bit pricey went for daughters b day n definitely don't regret it!
You have to pay $15 to park. We shouldn’t have to pay for parking when the prices for sugar factory is not cheap. I will never come back to sugar downtown. I will continue to go to the rosemont location.
It was amazing time and the drinks are Awesome!
Had a excellent birthday dinner! Amazing service! Seemed a little too pricey for my taste.
Not a place for kids - which was not clear when we made res.
Every surface was sticky, not clean. I sat in a broken chair.
This is a place for adults celebrating a 21st birthday or for bachelorette parties.
The kind of place you want to go if you think Nick Cannon or Scott Disick are cool.
Do you like Hard Rock Cafe? You'll love this place.
Was celebrating a birthday. Let server know and he never acknowledged. Another table had a birthday song by the staff but none for ours.
Our server also had difficulty remembering our drink order. Came back three times. The non alcoholic drinks that we ordered weren’t delivered until we were more than half way done eating. Horrible service.
Great food! Lots of fun! Fantastic service!
We really loved our experience at Sugar Factory. We had reservations for 7 people - ages 8-67. The hostess sat us a table in an adjoining room . There were several big booths empty in the main dining room where all the action was, so we asked for one of them. She was very accommodating and sat us at one. Why, with reservations and booths available in the main room, would she take us to a room with little action and nondescript? Our table made all the difference in our opinion! We would have been very disappointed if we hadn't spoken up.
The food was awful. The service was terrible. It was really loud too. Way overpriced considering the quality of the food!!!
Terrible food. Fast food quality, straight off a Sysco truck. Had rainbow sliders and turkey burger. Fries were like warm. Our 8 year old wouldn’t even eat the rainbow sliders because the hamburger tasted “funny”. Great server and atmosphere.
It was an awesome dining experience. My husband really enjoyed his birthday dinner and we will be back!
Restaurant seats were filthy! Floor was dirty! Food was great! Server was excellent. Just needs an overhaul on cleaning.
If you like super sugary drinks and average quality food then it is fine. I took my daughter and while she enjoyed the goblet drink it was more novelty than anything else. I ordered the cosmo martini thinking it would be more cosmo than sugar but it was like pure sugar. I had to send it back. If you are a teenager this place is probably fun. As an adult- much better places to eat and drink in Chicago.
Our so.mn was SO excited to go there for his birthday. The service was so terrible though, that it really dampened the whole vibe. Our server was hugely inattentive and we had to get the attention of other servers. When we told him it was my son’s bday he said “happy birthday” in such an quiet unenthused voice. He seemed annoyed that we were even there. The desserts are fun, but for all the hooplas about this place, I thought the service would be good or at least the server would say happy bday when he brought his dessert. After so much excitement it was a huge disappointment.
My granddaughters loved it, especially when the mango what ever drink was poured over dry ice.
Fun visit to Chicago! We loved the Sugar Factory! It’s like an old soda shoppe that has been modernized and glammed up. Very girly, but Daddy liked it too!
I made an online reservation. Was seated within a few minutes of arrival. Had more than enough wait staff tend to us. Jalen was the standout! Friendly, helpful, and upbeat! We had an appetizers, a burger, a two person sundae, and a shake. The deserts were not only eye catching, they were beyond yummy!! Great venue for a celebration which we saw happen too.
Overpriced mediocre food at best, $140 spent on 3 pasta dishes and 3 regular shakes ( not the specialty ones).
Dramatically overpriced. If you have a party of 5 or more than you are charged a mandatory 20% service fee for the bus staff. This is not the gratuity for your waiter which is still discretionary, but a common 18% tip means that you are paying 38% surcharge. Wow. I have never seen that after eating in hundreds of restaurants. Food is overpriced. They don’t even serve cold water. Our waitress was missing most of the night.
Great, great , great! Waiter was phenomenal. We ordered the 6 person ice cream spectacular and was not disappointed; entire restaurant was clapping and taking video as well! Awesome 1st experience!
Daughter’s 16th birthday!
We made a reservation and attempted to visit the Sugar Factory - RN location. I say attempted because we were seated at our table and after waiting over 15 minutes not a single server acknowledged us or took any type of order. We turned in our menus to the head hostess, advised her of our dissatisfaction and left the establishment. She was silent.
I would recommend coming here for one of their special drinks. That's fun. The food is passable and expensive. The dessert we had, ice cream sandwich, was ice cream between two of the hardest cookies imaginable. Don't know if they were stale or if that is the norm. Certainly not worth the price. Also, they were out of a few things we wanted to order. The goblet drinks are the only thing I would recommend.
Fun place for all ages! Excellent food and desserts!
The waitress did not check on us and I had to leave my table to ask for service. It took half an hour for waitress to attend us and another half hour to receive our check. After receiving our check she left us for another 15 minutes and my party almost walked out. Not a good experience at all and it was my birthday
Overrated! Drinks too expensive, food was not good for the price paid, and service sucked!! We will not be back.
Drinks and desert was very good main food was terrible
Fast service great food and wonderful staff. Will definitely go back there again
I went to Sugar Factory to celebrate my birthday. It was so loud in the restaurant. My party and I were yelling and trying to read lips to understand each other. The food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken and waffles. You can skip it, not worth ordering. Several people in my party ordered shrimp and chicken Alfredo. They loved it. They said the garlic bread it comes with is too hard though. I ordered one of those fancy drinks you see in the big glass- a waste of $36 dollars. My drink didn't have much candy, I asked the waitress if she could add more candy, she gave me some bs about why she couldn't. Meanwhile we are at a table that is near where they make drinks and I can see all the waiters and waitresses adding huge amounts of candy. Barely in alcohol in the drink. They waitress suggested two people share the drink, but I don't see why. My reservation was for 10pm. My party did not arrive until 1045p almost. I was happy they still allowed us to sit. Most places would have cancelled the reservation. Would I go back? Maybe not for myself. I'd definitely take a mid to enjoy it. It's hyped for no reason.
Besides the incredibly long wait, which the manager helped with our orders and compensated us, my experience was amazing. I would definitely go again. I hope you guys are opening a location in Michigan
The service was very slow. My reservations were made for 6 then I modified it to 7 and it didn’t show on the hostess side so we had to be moved to a bigger table where we waited 15 to 20 min to be greeted by our hostess. The restrooms were nasty unkept and not properly stocked. The floors were slippery. The prices were outrageous for the food to not be great. I ordered chicken Parmesan and the chicken was burnt. The pasta was dry. I changed my order for hamburger to go. Wasn’t pleased.
Great way to celebrate sweet 16 bday!! Food is fantastic!!
The Sugar Factory's service was very slow and the food seems likes it came from a buffet. I added steak to my salad and it was all fat. It also took me about 30 minutes to just get a glass of wine.
Lovely as always!
It was ok. The server wasn’t that attentive. The drinks were cute but that’s as far as it goes. We really thought we was given virgin drinks. The food was fine. The steak was a little over cooked. For the price and value I could have gone to Grand Lux and gotten better service from the waiter. And definitely stronger and better drinks.
It was something different to do while downtown Chicago, but drinks were WAY overpriced and the food was average, but was reasonable for downtown. We had a reservation and still had to wait 20-30 mins for a table. We requested a booth and was told no due to only having 3 people and ended up at a table near the kitchen with a not so nice view. Service was slow but waitress was very nice though. Kids liked it and it was a once time experience. I will not be going back again though.
The host act as if she didn’t want our service. Also I modified my reservation online and she told us that it wasn’t showing up on her end.
Poorly managed. Overrated. Less than average food. Service was terrible and the restaurant was filthy.
Although, you not buying the the ultimate ice cream delight. I feel you still should sing Happy Birthday! Too first time visitors, no matter what. We spending money just like all the rest
The velvet seating in the booth is all stained and looks like it hasn’t been cared for in a while. The food is a bit overpriced but the 36oz drink was good.
