Best friend Birthday dinner
My Mother’s Day experience was made and Mike was an excellent waiter !! Kids loved it all thanks again :)
Isaac was our server and he was awesome!!
Our server was terrific! T
Very nice service they where able to fulfill our seating request
The ice cream is such low quality ..... not a $100 sundae- barely any hot fudge , not even real whipped cream... would never go back. The ambiance is amazing though.
After being seated, we waited for 25 minutes, then decided to leave. There were easily two dozen staff who floated by our table as though we were invisible. We watched as they stood 15 feet from us (still in the dining area) and chatted with their co-workers. I now know who is dating who, when they are ending their shifts, and how much they've made in tips. What I don't know, is how their food tastes. Probably for the best. Everything seemed overpriced.
Food was ehhh. Movie theatre was OK comfortable seats but extremely warm and when asked if they could turn the dim overhead lights on while we eat, its pitch black, there was NO BODY else in the theatre but us. We were told "I don't even know how to do that"... There was absolutley no staff anywhere in sight could've walked in sat down for free and no one came in even after pushing call light for 20min. Bought a Groupon showed the "waitress" she never applied it to my bill. Did not notice till I got home because I was so irritated with the service I had to go before I became loud and rude. We carried our own plates and food all the way down 3 flights to get boxes for our food after waiting 10 minutes after movie was over and 20 min after we had pushed call light. They handed us boxes in the middle of the lobby walked away where we boxed our food over trashcan at a counter and a male waiter threw his gum literally over my food into the trash can and kept walking. I had to pick my chin up off the floor. We had 3 kids who each got an overpriced milkshake but we were charged for 5 when I showed her she said oh I had to remake 1(ordered no caramel but came with caramel) first your problem not mine. Second that would be 4 not 5... Jesus take the wheel. She said she removed 2 of them and when I got home noticed no Groupon used and 4 milkshakes instead of 3. Even when we asked for a bag to put boxes in we were met with an eyeroll and after 6 minutes waiting for a bag we left. Last I booked and spent close to 350 for my 8 yr olds bday he likes candy hence sugar factory. Weigh station down so they wouldn't sell any candy???? It was a rip off and the service was a complete joke I literally thought I was on a hidden camera for a moment. Shame on all those rich celebrities we had to hear about in every advertisement if you own a business you are ultimately accountable for it not just when the media is snapping pics. $350 is big deal for single moms and then to be treated bad...
Went in on Cinco De Mayo to have drinks because we were celebrating a birthday. I had made a reservation in advance and when we got there, we were seated right away. Service was super slow, drinks were not as satisfying (weak for the price), the sampler was served to us cold and the seating was disgustingly dirty. Idk how they get away with their stuff being so grimey, sticky and embedded with food during a time when cleanliness is of upmost importance. This venue is overrated 1,000% and we won’t be back.
Food was dry and cold
Candy was melded and old, food was less than average and expensive, Dessert was amazing, but pricey.
Great place to have a drinks and food
Such a great experience celebrating my daughters 14th birthday with 10 of her friends!
Asked for acknowledgment for bday never got it. Stood in lobby for 20 minutes then had to find someone to help us. Reserved outdoor was only given indoor option. No greeter. We ordered food and shakes. Server took the plates and silverware and then brought us food. Bday order was wrong. No drinks yet. Done with food then shakes come then bday persons food. Everyone else was done. Waiter went to get change for $100 and never came back. Had to flag down another person (I assume was the manager) he was very polite and got our change and made sure we were ok. Place was dirty. when you go up the escalator you can see an inch of dust on the light fixtures. Tables were sticky.
Our waiter was the best! She was so sweet and friendly
My visit was great the waiter was great and the manager was polite.
Experience was horrible waited to be seated for 2 hours and went to check with the host to see how much longer and they said they had already called us wich is not true because we never moved from there. They are so unorganized. We then went to the bar to get a drink and no one even acknowledge us so we left this place sucks and way too noisie
Food was fantastic! I love the alfredo! It is so flavorful and the drinks are delicious!
The food was mediocre at best. It took a very long time
To get our food and our drinks. Our server was nice but she was working behind the bar and waiting tables. Overall, our experience was just fair. I’d recommend spending your time and money at a different restaurant in downtown SD.
Food came before drinks, and few other issues
The ambiance and energy of the restaurant cannot be compared if a party-type real lively vibe is what you're looking for. There's pop music blaring with lots of selfie inspired interior design opportunities- a real trendy spot where lots of thought went into making it unique! It took a while for our server to arrive and once he did, the service was average. I ordered the chicken and waffles and my son ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were killer and cooked to perfection! My son also enjoyed his sandwich, but me on the other hand, my chicken was overly breaded and the waffles were dry, not fluffy. I was disappointed. Seems like a place for bar food as the multi-colored sliders and assorted appetizer plates were flying out of the kitchen, and at quick glance, they looked pretty good. I'd go again, but I'd order bar food. The menu and especially the specialty milkshake and dry-ice smoky drinks are pretty pricey, so make sure you have good money with you!
Great as always
Great place , i am coming back ! Great services and food was delicious!
The perfect spot for a birthday celebration (specially for kids and teens).
It was our first time at this venue and we thought it was be nice to celebrate our friend's birthday. It was a great decision! Best place to celebrate a birthday! Everything was fantastic: the food, the drinks, the dessert (King Kong Sundae!), and most especially the staff (Greg was our server). Totally made our experience worth while :)
I went with my two friends for a birthday lunch and it was really fun. the food was really good. also the host was really cute.
Overall very good experience fun new ways to drink an alcohol beverage exciting choices of flavor and gourmet dishes that are outstanding
Amazing food and service ...............:...:..::::............
Had a great time. My family loved it and my daughter wouldn’t stop saying how it was the best day of her life. We will definitely bring going back soon.
It was my first time going to the sugar factory and it was an amazing experience
Great ambiance . Delicious drinks just a bit expensive.
Great fun experience good food and great service. Will definitely go again when in town
Went there for the first time to celebrate my bday and my 4yr old sons bday. We were the only ones there’s when we arrived. My sandwich was the last one out as it took 3 tries to make it the way I ordered (no tomato no Mayo) and the first attempt they sent it to the wrong table.
We then ordered 3 shakes and about 15 later the waiter said another 2-3min and they would be out. 15 more minutes went by and we canceled them. At this point we had been there almost 2 hrs. I also had mentioned to the waiter there was no toilet paper in some of the woman’s stalls and no soap in any of the dispensers. And as we were leaving I went back into the bathrooms to still no toilet paper or soap over an hour after I had mentioned it. And to add to the visit. We had promised my 4yr old candy after he ate his lunch only to find out you can’t purchase any of the candy that is set out on shelves. So it ended in a toddler meltdown as we walked past all the candy on display
The goblet drinks are totally over rated and taste horrible. The food was nothing special. I could have made a better salad out of a bag. The only thing that was good was the shake. The lobby was in attended unclean. I will not go there again.
Birthdays for my lids
The food is yummy, think some things are way over priced Especially the drinks. At that cost the cup should be free to take home.
Didn’t feel like there was much social distancing with the tables They need to maybe do lunch portion specials or something.
We had a reservation but we’re not seated until 45 minutes later. Service was friendly but slow. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered. Fortunately I read other reviews that prepared me for this so I’d allocated 2:45 before our movie started. Food an d drinks were good though. (BTW the movie theater was gross, sticky and had old glasses from the previous movie strewn about. We had to move seats, ours were so gross. Staff acted like it was no big deal and told us they’d clear the dishes “if we wanted”)
Our first time there and we will definitely be back :)
