Sugar Factory American Brasserie - Theatre Box

Everything was great, EXCEPT the Chicken and Waffles. Chicken was way overcooked, and was just gross. If you want a decadent drink, try the Peanut Butter Cup martini. SO delicious!!! I'll go back just for that!
The Sugar Factory in Biloxi Mississippi was 200% better. In service, energy, decor and ambiance. It took 45 minutes to get a beer. The happy birthday song was one girl and not energetic. It was a sad comparison to the one at Hard Rock Casino. It was off the chain, San Diego’s version was meh.
Great location! Beautiful building! Great and beautiful deserts. But honestly, food is not fabulous. It’s bar food. At a higher price. All in all, it wasn’t awesome.
The staff were nice but the food was horrible and the ice cream was not worth the $. The music was talking about sex and dropping f bombs every two words. Not a great environment. I would go somewhere else. Don’t waste your time or $ here.
Terrible service! It took over an hour to get served, awful service
I would recommend going for the atmosphere and dessert!! The dinner food was marginal at best but our server was really sweet! The dessert was fabulous and the ambience and equally fabulous!!
Bad food, dangerous trays hovering overhead, waitress sweet but did not make up for those over our baby!
It was unfortunately not the experience we expected or should have had. They were short staffed and under stocked for bar service. We were told several times after booking reservation, driving there, spending 45 trying to park, waiting 10 min past our reservation time to then learn they were out of 90% of their beers and 100% of their whisky needed to make most of their gobblet fancy drinks!! They could have told us this and we would have rescheduled it was my sister BIRTHDAY celebration!! Very upsetting to be told every drink you want is not available because they “did not order enough” supplies for the Valentines Day weekend. I left feeling trapped to just order what they had bot what we wanted or planned to. The waitress Cherish was excellent under the circumstances with limited staff. Only 1 bartender was there and not many wait staff. We waited 15 minutes for first drinks, which tasted like crap, who cant make a bloody mary??? The appetizers arrived 30 minutes later then the main dishes right on top of them? The restrooms were disgusting and unclean, the floors anywhere you walked were sticky. Unclean feel and smell. The host and manager were yelling and cussing at each other in front if the waiting guests. So much for future family celebrations there. People next to us were complaining about all this as well and others left. Our first and last experience there!!
One good thing the manager paid the tab for table 513 while we were waiting so at least someone did not have to pay over $200 for the Sugar Factory Experience like we did! So sad no excuses can make up for it.
Good luck your not going to be in business much longer if this is typical.
Our wait staff was very attentive to the number of tables she was asked to serve. My issues were cleanliness (menus were sticky) and host\hostess. We were early for our reservation and was hoping to be seated, but was seated after large walk-in parties. The hostess was polite and seemed more accommodating than the host, who was quick to cut her off and said he had to seat the large parties first. All in all, we were seated 10 mins after our reservation time. When we first got there it seemed that there was a shortage of wait staff as there were several open tables.
Also, hoping for more attentive employees. Observed a mother speaking with salesperson in the candy part of the store, after seeing the sales person prevent what appeared to be a homeless man sampling from the candy bins. the salesperson did not have the immediate chance to pull the bins as there was a long line to purchase candy and movie tickets. I told my sons to no purchase from the bins, but rather buy prepackaged candy.
I understand the sugar factory is popular as for being a Kardashian owned property, but would not recommend other than kids birthdays and bachelorette parties. sorely disappointed.
Had a good brunch. For the price it should have been 1 of the following 2 options.
1. Options; numerous options you were to get 1 or the other as it seemed like numerous items were out and the other items would be consumed before the other item would be replaced, or missing altogether (eg. Breads/bagels/muffins, tortillas).
2. If having limited options, ensure the taste is off the chart. Id rather have 3 highly tasteful options than 6 mediocre flavors.
All in all, I would come back for breakfast options but unsure if for brunch.
The experience was ok for our first time but it wouldn’t be a frequent spot for me and my family, there was hardly any staff available for us to ask questions, get service when we were at brunch or while we were watching the movie. Unfortunately the only highlight for us was the reclining seats, the service during the movie was nonexistent which if they actually came over to serve us when we asked for it we would’ve been happy to drop a few $40 for over glamorized drinks.
First time here. When you first walk in there is no clear direction as to where to check in when you are using a Groupon. I’m glad we came 10 minutes prior to our 11am Open Table reservation. We had the brunch which was very good. Several different salads, good selection of main dishes to choose from. The Salmon was my favorite. The buffet area was a little messy when we arrived. However a gentleman that looked like a manager was trying to tidy up the place the second time we went up to the buffet. Our waiter appeared scattered. He was not very attentive. We had to ask for water 10 minutes after we sat down. He never offered us the orange juice that came with the buffet... again we had to ask. When we did stop him for service he was polite. Lastly if you are in a hurry to catch a movie be sure you let your waiter know. As we sat there for over 15 minutes to get the bill and saw others waited too.
There was no hostess at the door when we arrived for our 10:00AM reservation so it was not clear as to where we should check in for our reservation. No staff member stopped to assist the growing group gathering in the front door area to give direction. After about 15-20mins a waiter came by and started sitting people without asking groups names to cross off the reservation list; it was clear he was doing his best to get everyone seating even though this was not his job. The food was "okay" for the price and there was a lot of variety. My biggest disappointment was that, while it was listed on the brunch menu on the table as being included, when I asked for the Egg's Benedict, I was told that it would be an extra charge; I was told I'd have to order the meal at a separate charge from the brunch. One of the reason's I wanted to come for the brunch was for the Egg's Benedict. The women assisting and the movie counter was fantastic; she was very helpful and accommodating. In order to recommend the Sugar Factory to a friend, I would have to return and receive better customer service and be provided with what is listed as being included.
I picked this place because I love the ambiance and wanted something special for our anniversary and husband’s birthday. The big disappointment was they were not prepared for our reservation at all. I submitted the request over a week in advance and asked for one of their special tables and a special song. They had not read this prior to. I also called 10+ times prior to this occasion with no answer every time. When we got there they said we couldn’t have the table because they had too many reservations and wanted to use it for bigger parties and we waited for them to throw together a table for us- not special at all. No song and I had to repeatedly remind our waiter it was my husband’s birthday. Other than that the food was okay and the ambiance is always amazing. I know they are busy which is by I reserved and asked for special arrangements.
I would not recommend. The food was horrible. My wife's sandwich was super greasy and my chicken was hard and very dry. We already agreed that we will not be returning. Food is over priced but I can deal with that if it tastes good.
Even though the food was good, the service was mediocre.
This is my second time coming here and it was just like me first experience.... Not so good. Took forever to order food, staff kept giving food to the wrong table. Order off the prefix menu to only get half of what was offered. I won’t be back again. Not worth the amount of money I spent
Fun place but extremely loud like a night club. Not best for family.
Really interesting experience. The food was fine but overpriced, and same goes for the drinks. Service was excellent despite a few long lag times throughout, it was totally excused due to it being Valentine's day. God help your ear drums when it's a birthday celebration 😬 though I imagine it's fun for the recipient. Beautiful decor overall, helps detract from the stained suede seats and sticky menus. Good for tweens and wannabe Instagram models.
Dirty restaurant, filthy booths, sticky menus & a concierge with a major attitude. No thanks!
My server was the best very professional! The food took a little long to come out but it was worth the wait. The quality and taste of the food was Immaculate. My family is very picky about their food and they were more then satisfied. Keep up the great work!!!
Amazing place seats are a little cramped but over all great
Loved it, first time and would definitely go back to it again. Birthdays are a HUGE thing to this restaurant so definitely go for your birthday! Also the GOBLETS are very delicious and tasty. Service wasn’t the fastest but the point is to have fun and relax with your group that you are with.
The service was horrible! They ran outta beer, really? The food was cold n not good!
Great experience! It's pricey- so save for a special treat. The kids loved the milkshakes and we shared some fun appetizers.
Birthday dinner David was the best waiter!
Meal took over an hour to get to us. Wont be going back, just a hype restaurant for celebrities.
This was a fun place to go. I purchased the Groupon with the buffet & unlimited mimosas. The buffet was not good at all....no one was at the omelet station. Bright side was Davin that kept the mimosas filled! We also loved the comfortable recliners and service in the theater! The food was the only part that needed serious work...
Love coming here but pricey for s buffet
My daughter purchased the Brunch/Movie Groupon as a birthday gift for me. The brunch was AMAZING!! As for the movie, we were very disappointed in the experience at the theater. The concessions stand was closed and we were not able to get the popcorn that was included in the Groupon purchase. We were told to push the service button on our seat and someone would be by to take our order. It was over 1 hour into the movie before anyone came in to take orders. The concessions area was very dirty.
It was nice my boyfriend and I were outstanded on the appearance
It was great lol wish they had cotton candy alone lol. I missed out on getting the drake for the goblet (comes w cotton candy) but I’ll grab one next visit . Buffet selection was wonderful wish they had some dairy free/vegan options for ice creams and drinks but they had other stuff which were great too. Service was nice enjoyed it definitely will come back can’t wait to have a mom n son day here I know he would love it!
I really liked the photo showing eggs benedict with asparagus. Guess that was the hook! Omelet chiefs were so very helpful and fast! Lots of hot dishes to select from. No name tags were placed on trays. . . Belgium waffle were tasty with lots of toppings. We did not go to the show but will return. My grandson, 5 years, LOVED filling the little red box with candy. Our server was one of the BEST! Very very helpful with all our special request. That made it most enjoyable!
My Fiancee and I had a Groupon deal for 2 Sunday brunch buffets with bottomless mimosas, plus a movie, and a lil box for candy. Most of the good candy was bigger than the box.
The normal advertised price is $140.00 and there is no way our experience would have been worth that. We paid about 60% less which made it reasonable but not ideal.
Brunch was supposed to start at 10. We had to wait 20 minutes for both the omelette bar, and the waffle bar to finish setting up. Some of the faucets, and soap dispensers in the bathrooms were broken and/or didn't work, and only half and the escalator's were working. It seems there are some management issues here.
The food was good, once we were able to get what we wanted, and the movie accommodations were good, similar to what you would get from Cinepolis only 3 times the price. All things considered we probably wouldn't go back unless it was a really great deal.
It was our first time there, had a great experience! food and drinks were really good and our server Joshua was awesome and very attentive, we will be returning again. Thank you!
Very disappointed in the lack of attention, service was poor and my daughters birthday was never mentioned even though I specifically asked for specific items to be delivered to them.
Coming here is a full on experience! Everything about the place screams fun! The drinks are amazing and so are the desserts. The other food is pretty good too, nothing amazing but that's not what you go for. The manager Robert is amazing and our waiter David was just the best! David takes the experience from an 8 to a 10! Definitely an amazing place to have a birthday celebration! We will be back!
Our server David was great! Had a really great birthday celebration.
Had a great time celebrating my sons 10th birthday. Food was great and service was amazing. My son enjoyed his birthday thanks to the staff at sugar factory San Diego. I recommended the club sandwich it was great
The food was delicious!!!!
