It took forever for our drinks to come or to even place order for drinks. Not sure if the server was swamped but it just took a really long time
The actual savory food was terrible. I had popcorn shrimp and a mac&cheese burger with a veggie patty. It was not good at all. Too much quantity in the menu and not enough quality, especially for the expensive prices. Nutella pizza was good but nothing special. Our server was super nice and attentive, loved her!! However, would not go again nor recommend to others.
Good service, great drinks
Food was really good. However, disappointed with the drinks. The main reason we came was because of the drinks we saw on the internet (the big fancy drinks). Our sever told us drinks have about 10 ounces of alcohol in it and I doubt that was actually the case. While the drink was tastey, couldn’t taste any alcohol and after consuming a large drink, no buzz whatsoever. Most of these drinks were at least $40 and you realize you’re paying for the show... minimal alcohol.
What a disappointment! Had planned for months to celebrate my birthday with an over-the-top Insane Milkshake only to be told they weren’t offering ANY Insane Milkshakes that night. Second choice Fried Ice Cream also not available. Server was unapologetic, offered no reason why my choices werent available and was inattentive. The Fluffer Nuttier milkshake I did have was good but I can get a peanut butter milkshake anywhere. Tried emailing via Sugar Factory website twice to express my disappointment and both times mail was returned! What a HUGE letdown!
The food was good. Paid way to much for burger, pizza, club sanwhch and burger Prices are outrageous for simple food. Inside was very loud. It took forever for the waitress to bring my check. When I paid the bill your place made me call my bank because you could not run the credit card. After being on hold with my bank for 1/2 hour you finally put my payment through. I was way too much time on this. Overall disappointed.
This was honestly the worst service experience my friend and I have ever had.
We made reservations and were sat promptly, with the waiter coming over about a minute or two later. I would mention the servers name, but it was never given. Anything remotely good about the experience ends here. We asked for waters so that we could take a minute to look over the expansive drink menu– we did not see that waiter again for fifteen minutes, and when he did come back no waters. We both ordered martinis, which we would not see for another twenty minutes. At this point we had been there for almost forty minutes, just now getting our drinks and not having ordered. The food (a crepe and chicken Caesar salad) was just as ridiculous of a wait. We are both servers so we were trying to justify, but it was past the point of even tolerable. When the food did arrive we had been there for almost an hour and a half, and were already done with the experience. My salad, $20, was the size of a side salad with small bits of chicken throughout, and my friends crepe was also disappointing in size for the money we spent.
I will say that the martinis were delicious but so weak that my friend asked the server if it contained any alcohol– at $22 a piece, we expected more. We asked our waiter for the check when the food was dropped so we would not have to wait another hour– we did not see that check for almost forty five minutes. This Sugar Factory also adds a 20% gratuity to each check– with the service we received this was deplorable. Perhaps it’s because the server knew that he was guaranteed a 20% tip, he was not motivated to provide even the most mediocre level of service.
We had heard nothing but good things about the Sugar Factory and were so excited to go, so the entire experience was a huge disappointment. My advice is to look elsewhere if you’re in Miami. You’re surrounded by good restaurants with quality food and staff that actually knows how to check on a table.
Good and drinks were good. The only problem we had was our party was 11 ppl and 4 adults purchased the groupon deal so we had to book separate reservations. The reservations were all 15 minutes apart and once we arrived tables were free next to each other but the hostess was very rude and didn’t want us to sit at the tables next to each other which made no sense. If a party got up that means it’s a different table not a group which we got that. If they offer a groupon deal and their large parties it doesn’t help to even purchase the Groupon if you want to sit together. The food is pricy so you will always spend way more money than the Groupon so either way it’s a win win situation and their getting the business.
Reservations were made for a birthday. We were seated in a timely fashion, however it went downhill from there. While the drink was good, the food was less than satisfactory. It seems like all the emphasis went on the drinks. The pasta was mediocre and the fried food we ordered was fried way too hard (to the point where it was not edible). No one bothered to ask if we were celebrating anything special. And there was no offer to remake the fried food or remove it from the ticket after the server was advised we couldn’t eat it. The experience we were given based on what we heard about Sugar Factory was not on the same level at all. Based on the experience and the pricing there, it’s not worth going back.
Fun!! Nice atmosphere...service pretty good!...food okay.
I loved It!! It was my first time visiting the sugar factory I went for my bday. It has a colorful unique menu. I recommend grabbing a snack before you go if your really hungry and its the weekend they get really busy and it took a hour before we got out food.
We had a great time. That day service was slow, but we still enjoyed ourselves.
I was not impressed the drinks came back, and the ice was melting. Our Caesar salad was not impressive the lettuce was disgusting. The waiter also was horrible our waiter barely came to attend to us.. It was overpriced for what it was not going back.
The service was poor and the food wasn’t all that great
We went to Miami on a mini-vacay girls trip. 2 of the ladies have heard about the Sugar Factory and wanted to visit so we made reservations 2 months in advance. The atmosphere and the food was spectacular. I love this place. I will dine here again if I ever go back to Miami. We had a really good time here.
My first experience with my boyfriend actually both of our first time and the drinks was excellent and the food. Service was amazing I will be coming back.
The service was HORRIBLE. The food was mediocre at best despite exorbitant prices. The music was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think, let alone have a conversation. And the staff was unresponsive to the long wait times for food. Finally, the place needs a thorough cleanly. My only regret is that I didn’t leave when I sat and was handed a filthy menu. That should have served as a warning!
I will NEVER go back.
The food was poor. Burgers had absolutely no taste, dry, bread was hard. My daughters dish was the fish tacos; wound up returning it waiter as it had hair in it. We were all very disappointed!
Loud music but everything from the food to the drinks were amazing 👌🏼!
Our meals were delicious and priced right!
The chicken/mushroom/spinach crepe was the best. Of course, the desserts were the highlight!
Although the music was a bit loud for conversation, the decor was interesting and fun and had a youthful vibe!
The restaurant was ok. The food was good and the service was very good. The value however was not worth the expense. It’s a tourist trap and the try to sell the celebrity aspect by playing the celeb endorsements on a loop. $660 for 8 people to eat burgers was ridiculous.
IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I got scared it was overrated, but it’s not. Trust me, the hype about this place is real. I loved it , great location , decor and inside was super clean. I spent over $100 here but I was okay with that, because I already expected too lol.
I honestly want to go back, I’m obsessed lol.
Fun but very overpriced. Could not believe the cost!!!
The music was too loud to even have a conversation. Our server was too engrossed in the basketball game to really even pay attention to us and the food wasn’t even that great. Won’t be back.
Expensive for mediocre at best food. 2 entrees, an appetizer and a buy one get one free drink cost almost $200. Not worth it.
The service was horrible and the food gave us heartburn. We never saw our waiter but one time. When they delivered our food to us they never came back to check on us. We are our hamburger and French fries with no ketchup and it was very expensive on top of the bad service they had the nerve to add the tip? Unexceptable!
This location is TOTALLY different the location in Orlando, Fl. Food, music and service.... DIFFERENT
Fun place to go to, our server Tomas was amazing!!!!
Do not waste your time or money! The food at McDonalds is way better! Our waiter had major attitude. The place is a little bit on the dirty side and the music was so loud I had to yell at my husband sitting in the chair next to me.
I must say I had a wonderful time and the atmosphere was wonderful. Jorge tho he wasn’t are waiter he was such a sweetheart!
Great service and ambience. Food and drinks are very pricey but overall experience was good.
would recommend for special occasions
We went for our anniversary to try something new. The drinks are tasty and fun! Apple pie waffle was wonderful and the big cheesy burger was okay.
Nice place, good food! Wasnt expecting the hotel tax fee added, I did use the groupon voucher but didnt do much once all the fees and taxes was added! But overall it was nice, service was nice, food was good!
Food wasn't good....drinks were ok...not worth the money.
Great for Birthday Party! We enjoyed ourselves . My daughter enjoyed her birthday. She felt like a princess.
My husband and I really enjoyed our food, however our waitress was very slow. We had to go and find her three times. When they finally brought out our drinks and appetizer it was time for them to bring out our food as well. We had to find here again when it was time to take our money and to bring back our change.
It was my first time there. Came for a friend's birthday. Had a really good time. The food and drinks were good, our server was very friendly. The dessert was delicious and all the stuff were singing Happy Birthday song for my g friend, that was very cute.
It was wonderful and Cecilia made the experience worth while!
Food is very good, but the restaurant is very loud. My son wanted a Shirley temple and the waiter basically said no. When I asked why not, his response was their too busy at the bar for non-alcoholic drinks. Ironically I was looking right at the bar and they were definitely capable of fixing a Shirley temple. Additionally the waiter spent more time attending to the young ladies next to us then our table.
The noise from the music and conversation was so loud we couldn’t hear each other from across the table. Granted it was Urban week in Miami so there were a lot of individuals in a party mode-but the acoustics don’t lend themselves to conversation.
If you can dine outside that’s the best location to enjoy all this restaurant has to offer
