It was awesome to do your teens birthdays!!!
It was a nice bday dinner
I told the host that I had a reservation, but they never asked the name. They just sat us down. The first waiter we had was nice, but he seemed to have disappeared and another waiter took our order. We were there over 1 1/2 hrs and only saw our waiter 4 times (to take our order, bring our food, take our dessert order, and bring our check). They take the "automatic 20% gratuity" for granted. The price of the basic food is ridiculous. $7.50 for a plastic 8oz cup of soad... and the waiter never came for a refill. Ridiculous. We were there on a Tuesday evening, so it was not even busy. The staff was too busy talking to each other to actually do their jobs. I'd rather take my business elsewhere.
It was okay, definitely over priced. Drinks are not all that.
I’ve been to Sugar Factory I’m at least 5 cities and this was by far my worst experience!
My brother came in to town so I took him and we had a $30 Groupon for $60 worth of food...great deal! I just discovered Groupon and was so excited to use it!
Anyway, my salmon was great and I always order it. My brother ordered a sandwich and he thought it was ehh, ok nothing special. We had 4 coffees, one espresso and the total came to $92 and change before the numerous lists of taxes . Either the server didn’t know how to utilize a Groupon, we were charged per coffee...but the bill just didn’t make sense.
The server could not explain what the 20% service fee meant. I work in catering sales in south Florida so I explain it as an administrative fee NOT a tip. Our server explained it as money the house gets and divides it equally as opposed to him getting it again them dividing it up but if we want to tip additional we can. I was so confused and this guy seemed to be too that I just threw and additional 15% to get him to go away from us instead of having him uncomfortably looking over our bill which is extremely unprofessional. I never tip 15% especially in this business but he was a mess.
Being in catering and events, I would not have hired our server to work one of my banquets nor work with my guests.
Just some honest feedback for Sugar Factory Miami. I am almost positive I will not be returning but will go back to my favorites in other cities, especially NYC.
I will copy and paste this review on other platforms asking for feedback so it doesn’t have to be retyped again just Incase you see the same reply. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
We enjoyed ourselves. My husband really wants to go back to try the gelato.
Amazing experience. Need more waiters for busy Saturday. Otherwise no complaints.
Terrible food. Cold and over priced. Service sub par. Not attentive at all.
Food was overpriced and just ok. The waiter could have been more attentive.
Friendly welcome, great customer service and food taste delicious. #foodisveryfulling.
The food was delicious and the drinks were an experience. The children absolutely loved it and it was the highlight of their holiday.
Overpriced food and drinks. Dirty outside dining. Meh service.
Food quality is about the same as a fast food restaurant and definitely not worth the price you pay. Milkshakes are new & different experience but they taste bland and are nothing special. It was my daughters birthday and her friends and family were excited to be celebrating it there. No acknowledgement of it and was heartbroken when other tables were getting their Bday acknowledged. Servers don’t care how they serve you because there is a 20% Service charge as well as a 2% resort fee from Victor Hotel for use of their property. One & done
The food was good. It’s a celebration restaurant. A bit over priced for everyday.
Amazing food, great ambience 😍
First time in Miami -deffo recommend this place, loved every minute of it! Cheers guys ☺️
Just sat there for about 10 minutes for breakfast in an otherwise empty restaurant. Ordered a “3” egg omelet. Must have been quail eggs it was so small. One super dried toast with frozen butter; not a good combination oh and it cost $17! Their signature goblet drink is $42!!!! Saw the waitress once and had to hunt her down for a check. Then there was 20% tip automatically added. That makes sense because they know they wouldn't even get 5% for their level of service. My daughter had been looking forward to this for her birthday. What an expensive disappointment!!
Service was pretty bad, waited a while to be waited on and then our server spilled our drink all over our table. Our napkins were used to clean it up, then when I asked for new napkins we got a pile of cocktail napkins. The waiter said we’d get free dessert for all the issues but then we didn’t get it because the manager was at the ice cream station so he couldn’t sneak it to us. I’d think twice about coming back, it didn’t live up to its hype.
Prices are high but food was worth it. Drinks are good but very sweet. Expensive but can be shared with two people. Chicken Alfredo was great.
Food and drink selections were overpriced. Pizza oven was not working, but waiter didn’t tell us until we were ordering. The website menu doesn’t match the actual menu onsite.
The food was really good and the Mai Tai Goblet was really good. The only food item that was alright was the cookie oreo sandwich that we ordered. The server was treating us like we were not mature or like he didn’t really care too much about us which was frustrating. Its a nice cute place though.
Great concept just overpriced for for mediocre food. It is south beach though so not super shocked lol
I wish my party of people didn’t have to wait till 10:20 to be seated when my reservation was for 9:45. The server Mauricio didn’t take a picture of us after I asked nicely if he could. I was told it was a new policy but I saw other servers take pictures of the table. They didn’t check in and take plates of food that were done and there was an issue with us keeping a menu. Apparently that was a problem. I was satisfied with the place but the service needs a lot of work.
The manager was very rude, never came and asked if we needed anything, and we had a large party of 19. The servers were great but the manager was awful. If anyone can call me I would appreciate it. At 7863267726 Mrs. Makenzie
I ordered the rainbow burgers which were extremely dry the meat had no flavor . Also the princess make a wish milkshake and in my case mines didn’t look anything like the picture and the cupcake that came on the side was cold and hard . I ordered wings as well those were perfect and presented well
My server wasn’t okay probably just every distracted because when I was complain about my meal she didn’t even bother to adjust it or anything and I haven’t ate any of the burgers
It was a horrible encounter for it to me my first time and I spent near $100 for terrible food
Sugar factory was a great experience. The ambiance was great. I'd definitely come back again and refer a friend to visit.
It was so perfect for the my birthday.. The food ,
Drinks and the beautiful decor..
Horrible service. The food wasn't that good. We've had way better desserts. Never again.
It’s definitely something you should visit st least once.
The waiter seemed like he had an attitude
Great first time experience. Outdoor seating had a beautiful view at night. Ask for Mauricio!!
The food is highly over priced for low quality food.
First time going to sugar factory and with my family coming from all the way from Austin Texas it was really a great experience. Our server was the best. Food was delish, drinks on point. Thank you. We will be back soon.
We had dinner with 2 of our children. The goblets are extremely expensive but a must do. The joy on the kids faces were priceless. The food portions were huge everyone brought food home. the food prices were reasonable.
It was a fun time, however, the food and drinks were extremely overpriced. My salmon salad, which was $28 was over cooked and flavorless. Several drinks on the menu weren’t available and the service definitely did not warrant the automatic service fee of 20%.
First time going there was amazing, the drinks was on point and so was the food. Would definitely go back and recommend
The service by our waiter Renee was absolutely horrible. He did not check on us, deliberately looked away when we were in need, and kept forgetting things. The food was disgusting, and sloppily made. The staff in the store portion of the restaurant were rude. I will never be eating here again.
Good place to go for desert. Milkshakes are crazy. Food is fairly good. Service is a little slow. It’s a place to get desert with friends when you’re craving ice cream.
Everything was good, the drinks for $43 was way overpriced
