I’m not the guy, normally, to be extreme in these situations, but this evening was the worst dining experience I’ve had in years. Loud to the point of raucous, didn’t get drinks until halfway through the entree (after an appetizer), salmon salad was so dry and wilted that I sent it back and ate half of my friends club sandwich, which was very avg. We did enjoy the onion rings. My friends martini had leftovers of a fruity, bubblegum flavor in it - he couldn’t drink it (which was $18, btw). I wouldn’t spend money on anything there except the dessert related things. Kept hoping management would check around but they never did. Proceed with caution
The waitress and wait staff were exceptional. My only issue is we made reservations four weeks out for 9:30pm and still had to wait an additional 40 mins to be seated after checking in.
I LOOOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SUGAR FACTORY ATLANTA!!
My food wasn’t what was expected. All of the food came out wrong. We had to ask our waitress for the necessary essentials (more than 2 times) like: ketchup, napkins, straws. We received drinks without straws. We had a 2 year old with us. She gave everyone water except for the baby so we had to share with him. The whole experience was kind of over rated. I expected a better experience for a $202.00 bill.
It was ok reservations at 330 didn’t get seated until 345 waitress didn’t come to table until 409
Long wait for my our food not to be that great. My sons food and drink never made it out and when it did try to come it was poor
I loved everything about it except the colorful burgers 💀. I do not recommend.
I took my husband for his first experience for Father’s Day! We loved it! Cant wait to come back! All the staff is friendly! Love the energy!
I really enjoyed this place! The food was good and so were the drinks.
Summary: The experience was generally pretty good. Skip the meals/entrees. Deserts and drinks are good. Everything is pricey. Meal total was almost $100 with gratuity included.
My advice: Don't bother getting an entree here. Get food elsewhere, then come come here for a drink and dessert.
My wife had the grilled cheese and it was good but $13 is very high for that kind of meal. I had the cheeseburger, for $17 I expected better. It tasted like a $5 burger. It was very dry, no wonder they rely on a burger sauce. This wouldn't have effected their rating so much if such a large part of the menu didn't focus on entrees.
The staff were all very friendly and always smiling. It was very busy so service was a bit slow. But that's hardly their fault.
My wife and I shared the "Soul Man" drink. (Pictured) It was very large and definitely meant to be shared. A little more costly than it should have been.
We shared the banana split which was good, but came out a little melted. Because they apparently forgot where it was supposed to go and walked past us with it before coming back. It tasted very good, and the caramelized bananas were a great touch.
Also expect your card to automatically decline if you're from out of town. It's not a matter of money, apparently it's a very common occurrence with their system according to the server.
Loved the experience!! Looked forward to my rubber duckie though and they were out :( drinks service and food amazing - the one big tv screen not working - takes away from the ambiance/ and could have been more lavishly candy decorated like but was still great
We celebrated my daughter’s birthdays and the food and service was awesome.
You come here for the drinks and the desserts, but the night I went they were missing half of the specialty milkshakes and candy types for the drinks. The rainbow sliders were good as well as their mac n cheese balls, but their donut burger was just a bunch of bread with what seemed like a frozen or just mediocre burger patty. Overall, the service was pretty good, and I would recommend for a special occasion, but I definitely would lower your expectations because they run out of the things you would most likely want to go there for.
Energetic vibe, complete with picture perfect drinks and deserts. It was very busy but our server was great
Say promptly. Great food. Waiter was a little slow but other than that great great time!
This place is for occasional visits since it's pricey. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. It was all for the kids.
The fishbowl drinks was good but overpriced. I love the birthday recognition.
Great place.. drinks and food Great. Drinks you can feel b4 leaving
Experience was great! Food and drinks are a bit pricey! Service was good but food took a while. We will probably go back.
Our server Ryan was the best ever!! We really enjoyed the food and the service....great place to eat when we're in Atlanta
This was the worst experience for my birthday. I was completely upset !
Dope experience! It was my wife’s first time and we’ll be back again
The food is absolutely awful!! Took my husband and our four kids last night and the food is comparable to fast food but worse. Artichoke dip is nasty. Wings tasted microwaved. Chicken in the pasta was gross. Nothing to the milkshakes in terms of taste. It was so loud that we couldn’t even speak! It was my husband’s birthday and I feel so bad I took him there. We could have gone to a nice steakhouse for far less money. My bill was $240 for absolutely terrible food. I seriously feel sick that I wasted so much money.
This was our first time in Atlanta, and came to the Sugar Factory to celebrate my birthday.. Everything was AMAZING !!! Vette was our server & she served EXCELLENT service to us.
My first and My last time at this restaurant. The service was terrible I made reservations got their an hour early no one was sitting at tables and we still had to wait over an hour my food came out extremely cold. My friend fry chicken was hard we ordered drinks never got them. The Manager black guy braids was the worst. Instead of taking care of cust he was turning up and when you tried to talk to him he would not respond. This restaurant is for the rats.
Our waitress had way to many tables to manage. She did great but extremely overworked. Please hire more staff. Bartender got our drinks wrong and never fixed them. Overall Was not a very good experience for the price.
This is the worst sugar factory i have been to. Waited a while to be seated after we arrived early to our reservation time. People who's reservations was 30 mins later than ours was sat before us. Wasn't overly clean.
The food was cold. The staff was unprofessional and very apathetic. The dessert looks nice but taste average. Everything is overpriced!
Bartender sucked at making our drinks and we were even told they didn’t want to make our drinks so they couldn’t be replaced. And we had order the bigger cup with dry ice so you’d expect a good taste but no. Not a good first experience. I can say the pasta saved the night. Our server was okay but overall just expected better service.
I made reservations for 3 and they seated us at a table fit for 2. We literally had to wait minutes to be seated at a table fitted for my party. We only received 2 napkins when we definitely needed more for the type of food and desserts we ordered. Our waitress didn’t bring all the items out we ordered. Overall we won’t be going back!
We had a 9:15pm reservation. As we got there we were seated within about 5 -10 minutes. They took us up stairs to our table as soon as we sat down we ordered around 9:25pm. The server told us they were out of the shakes we wanted (the princess one, the Carmel cheesecake, and the cookie shake with the blue donut) my son was already disappointed they ran out of the ones he wanted. Well we ended up ordering the strawberry cheesecake over load and the snickers milkshake. We waited.. heard the loud, obnoxious, birthday songs 4 or 5 different times. Which the music was so Loud and obnoxious I couldn’t even hear my own thoughts. It was so loud I couldn’t even talk to my friend next to me. Well next thing I know I look at my phone and it’s almost 10:15pm. So I ask our server “how much longer?!” At this point my son and I were tired and just ready to go home. I think to myself how long can ice cream take?! Our server begins to tell us “there’s a “VIP” a very important person in the house tonight and their food bumped ours behind. So again I ask “how much longer for our ice cream?” And he says about 10 more minutes. At this point I look around the bar tender upstairs who didn’t have a single customer, the entire time. It didn’t make sense. After waiting over an hour on a Monday night we got our ice cream and I’m not going to lie I was disappointed. We paid almost 40$ (not including tip) for ice cream. There was maybe 5 small pieces of cheesecake on the “overload platter” which was mostly just strawberry ice cream for like $20 and the snickers (cookies n creme shake was alright but it was mostly whipped cream) everything was so frozen stuck to the glass you couldn’t even eat it. After we paid we went downstairs bc my son wanted to see the candy. Well there was a guy behind the register I asked if we could buy this buzz toy for my son, he said I don’t work back here. So we waited 15 minutes to buy an over priced buzz toy for $7 that I could have got at the dollar store.
Awesome experience and great staff! The music and atmosphere was a true vibe!!! I will be back and well worth the 2 hour drive!
Will not be going back. Food was cold and I guess they are out of napkins.
Calamari was super salty. Our server was the only good thing about the experience.
This was my first visit to Sugar Factory and I am not sure if I will return again. The ambience was good and the food was not bad, however the service was not great. I don't think it was the servers fault. I believe the place was short staffed and she could only do what she could do. I ordered a spinach dip and it never came out, but they did deduct if from my bill. Also, the music was very loud. Too loud to hear a conversation. It just so happened that the song "Turn down for what" was playing that day and I thought to myself, maybe turn down so I can talk to my guest. We were basically having to scream to have a conversation with one another and we were sitting side-by-side.
Everything was great I love it I’ll be back soon
For the amount of money that this place costs, the service, waitress and cleanliness was a -0. The table and floors looked like Waffle House, and Manager did not display any leadership for the lack of service. It took 20min to get a cup of water for 4. The Sunday Brunch indicated that there was no coffee available. I paid $20 for Valet parking, luckily, after getting up and leaving to go to Cheesecake Factory, the Valet refunded $10 for such a short stay. My bff and her celebrity "A" list boyfriend obviously was sat in a cleaner area and had stellar service due to his status. This place is less than ideal. The Sugar Factory in Orlando was epic! However, Sugar Factory ATLANTA is disgusting!
Worst restaurant experience I can remember - water served to us was yellow w/dirty glass rims, silverware was dirty, waitress brought check without asking if we wanted anything else/dessert, when we finally were ready to leave she was nowhere to be found. Food was mediocre at best.
I wanted to try this place because it has a great location and the candy theme got me, but I won’t go back.
Great place, great service, and great food. Will definitely have to come back.
