How does a restaurant that sells olives run out of olives for their cocktails ?
Very happy with the service, food, and atmosphere.
Food is great as usual. Service was good too. Hope to dine-in soon!!
Fabulous food and amazing service thanks to Costantino, Morgan and Pedro...hope to see you again soon! 😘😘👍
Ciao Todd, thank you so much for your patronage in these times. We really appreciate it. We will definitely share this with our team at Sud Forno on Temperance. We look forward to having you again soon when we can open our doors again for dining.
Very nice decor inside the restaurant. Too bad my friends and I could not enjoy the ambience more but our table outside was quite cozy. The staff was very friendly and professional. The waitress (sorry, forgot her name) who served our table was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in making us decide what food to order and the wine to pair.
Hi MercedesG, thank you for the 5-star review. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your dining experience with us. We will share your comments with our team at Sud Forno and appreciate your support during these times :).
Ate outside on patio. Food..as always was excellent. Service was on point. May need more heaters as it was a bit cold out.
Ciao Anthony, thank you for your positive feedback on food and service. This location has only re-opened recently and we are trying out best to navigate through these difficult times. We always recommend to dress warmly and even bring your own blanket. We appreciate your support and hope to see you again soon.
We reserved patio dining and we sat
We booked the patio, knowing that it has heaters and a good atmosphere. However the restaurant made an additional temporary ‘patio’ next to an office building, with one of the seats of our table on concrete. Considering it was November sitting on a concrete slab with no heater was not good. There was no atmosphere at all and we asked to move to the actual patio as we had made a booking in advance but were told no. We then had to wait 30 minutes in the cold to make our order. Overall this was a very disappointing experience for a birthday celebration!
Excellent Service! Tasty well presented food, with a variety of options. Always consistent. Highly recommend! The patio is beautiful.
Thank you so much for this wonderful 5-star review. We really appreciate your support during these times and look forward to hosting you again in the future :)
Too cold for outdoor patio if heaters aren’t strong enough - should close
Hi there, we ask for your patience during these very difficult times. We understand this is not a typical scenario as our patio season has never gone this long. We have no control over mother nature's temperature and we are doing our very best with the available heaters. We always encourage guests to dress warmly and even bring their own blankets. Thank you and have a nice day.
Fabulous food and service and lovely to see Costantino as always 😁👍👍
Hi ToddK, thank you for visiting us at Sud Forno and for your patronage. We will pass the message onto Costantino! We hope to see you again soon :)
Dinner was delicious! Nice environment and great staff!
Thank you Elena for your 5-star review and comments on the food and service. We appreciate your support during these times and hope to see you again soon at Sud Forno.
We told them it was our living room and asked to be seated elsewhere, which they accommodated. They also brought out complimentary champagne, which was lovely.
Thank you for your 5-star review, we're happy you enjoyed your time with us at Sud Forno. We appreciate your patronage, have a great day :)
Seating was a little confusing, as we understood that the upstairs only was for dining; however this was very minor, overall a great meal and wonderful service
good food, nice service and good place for business lunch
We were given a small pizza to share even though we ordered a large. When we told the waiter he brought out another small. Instead of getting charge the price of a large we were charged for two small which were more expensive. Even though it was the restaurants fault
Went on a quiet Tuesday night but then again with covid-19 fears, who knows if this affected business. Regardless, good food in a casual Italian eatery.
Went for brunch had the scrambled eggs with truffle and tag bolognese. I love their homemade pasta..
Food was excellent. Quality of service. Even the music they played not mainstream. Truly enjoyable experience. Can’t wait for the next visit.
Food was good, service too. Drink prices very expensive in my opinion.
Love this place. They need more staff
Got house platter -- buffalo mozzerella (ok quality not amazing); parma ham on bread stick (good); salami and capiccola ham (run of the mill)
Gnudi with wild mushroom and truffle -- interesting dish. Never had it before. Ricotta and semolina flour dumpling.
Branzino with kale salad -- pretty good. Cost $38 so one of the more expensive dishes
Seating was a bit cramped. place was bustling at 7 pm. Service decent.
Overall decent. But less than what i expected based on online reviews
We had a nice night out with friends and parents; however, it was difficult to hear people speaking across the table.
closes Italian restaurant without being in Italy. They serve Italian Food how it should be served
I was a bit disappointed with my snapper special but my guests seemed to enjoy their food. The nutella pizza dessert was out of this world! I had mentioned in our reservation that we had a birthday in the group , and she was from out of country, so a little sad nothing special came out for it. That said, we loved the ambiance and each others company and I still highly recommend Sud Forno whether it be for work or otherwise.
Food was delicious. Bombolinis are amazing!!! Place had a great vibe. The only criticism I have, is that it was a little loud to have a conversation. We kept having to repeat what we were saying because the other couldn’t hear.
Love it all the way, very authentic, however, the only small negative side is the size of some dishes that are too small for the price tag.
Amazing food!! They didn’t have balsamic vinegar which was a little strange and it was a little loud, but all in all lovely place!
My guest was gluten free and was excited and happy that they could have lots of choices. My only complaint is that the noise level can be high, mainly due to the restaurant design. However I always enjoy the food and will be back. Servers were also very helpful.
Really nice servers/hostess amazing service in this busy downtown ambience with amazing food to match. If your expecting a chill cafe style like you see on food blogs on insta, it definitely is not that or at least that part isn't so clear. Good food but if your cheap and want big portions for low prices thats not it but it is classy and quality. The tables or seating area is verrrryyyyy tight so expect to shift tables. The tea lights are cute though- I'd go for like sun -wed low key date night
Food and service is great. Noise level is high, especially when you’re having a business lunch
The food dishes we ordered turned out to be very greasy and small portion. Not worth the price.
Great night at Sud Forno. My wife and I went based on a recommendation and we were not disappointed.
Hi Abel, thank you for your 4-star review. We're happy to read you enjoyed your time with us at Sud Forno. We look forward to having you return :)
I made reservations about a week in advance for my girlfriend and I to spend Valentine's day here. Simona, the manager, called me a few days prior to confirm the details of our reservation and was an absolute delight and accommodating. Considering the occasion, I had asked if she could seat us somewhere quiet and away from all the noise and she was able to accommodate us very well! Our waiter, Josh, was extremely attentive and provided an amazing service. Great experience overall. We'll definitely be coming back soon!
Hi there, thank you for this great review. We're so happy you enjoyed your time with us on Valentine's Day! We will share your comments with Simona and Josh and our management team at Sud Forno on Temperance as this will be much appreciated. We hope to welcome you back to Sud Forno again soon :)
Went here for Valentine’s Day. The food was filling (we ordered ravioli and pizza for lunch and were too full to eat for the rest of the day). The ambience wasn’t too loud and the waiters were very kind and respectful.
The only restaurant that I know of that has spelt pasta.. and it was delicious.
Thank you for your 5-star review and comments on our pasta! We hope to see you back at Sud Forno soon :)
Good food, over priced for lunch and portions. Very loud. Lots of tables in the restaurant and had to move table out just to squeeze in.
Hi MichelleB, thank you for your review. Our prices are reflected in the high quality ingredients we use in every one of our dishes. Our olive oil is made by a family friend in Puglia Italy using 100% Coratina olives and it is pressed exclusively to us. Our flour comes from a third-generation family run mil in the Marche regions and our pasta is made in house fresh daily. We will share your comments with our management team and hope you will consider returning in the future. Thank you.
Way Overpriced! Ordinary pizza! Doesn’t compare to Terroni!
Hi there, thank you for your review. Sud Forno and Terroni offer different style Italian pizzas. The pizza you find at Sud Forno is called Stirata Romana and consists of a more airy and crispy dough which is typically served in square slice. Our ingredients used remain at the same quality as Terroni, reflecting its price. We hope you will consider returning in the future to enjoy what majority of our guests do. Have a nice day.
Food was good. Selected based on location. Really enjoyed the cocktails!
Thank you for your 4-star review! We're happy to read you enjoyed the food and cocktails. We hope to have you return to Sud Forno again soon :)
The pizza with potato was not good at all. Pasta with spare rib was a small portion. Ambience nice but not worth going based on food.
