    Join us Thursday June 26th at 6:30 for a special wine dinner with Nicola Comelli from Comelli Wines in Friuli, Italy. This dinner includes four wines paired with courses from the kitchen. This dinner will be sure to sell out.     It’s good southern food…as most southern foods are a bit heavy ( breading on chicken, pork chops, etc) Really loved the deviled eggs and beet salad! The Brussel sprouts were good as well as the gumbo! The bbq shrimp were ok… My sister lover her fried chicken! My other sister and I had the short ribs…the portions were very different with the meat. Mine was full of fat while hers was a nice portion of beef. My husband laid his pork chop was very flavorful, but would have prefered no breading! The red beans and rice are highly recommended per my brother in law! ( and he knows his red beans and rice!) Really tasty desserts…key lime pie was my fav, my sister loved the special derby pie with pecans, chocolate, ice cream and more! Service was very good! Professional, friendly and knowledgeable! Couldn’t ask for more! Nice, casual, friendly restaurant!

    Our family took my husband there for his birthday, and we had a wonderful dinner! There were five of us in all. Everyone ordered something different, & each of us was pleased with his choice! I, personally, had the short ribs, which were fantastic!!! Our son-in-law also ordered two of the catfish finger appetizers for the table; and everyone loved them!! My husband received a free “Derby Pie” dessert for his birthday 😊 Mike was our server; and we all just loved him!! It was obvious that he was a pro in the restaurant business! He made very helpful suggestions, and handled the timing perfectly. We all commented on how nice it was to have someone who was so knowledgeable and good at what he did, while also being so very friendly and humorous!! Our family really loved the delicious food at Subourbon; & Mike truly made the evening special!!

    Amazing happy hour, $7 old fashioned, appetizers. Huge bourbon selection. Short rib, fried chicken sandwich and gumbo were all good. Great spot, excellent service, Free birthday dessert too. I’ll be back.

    I really enjoyed our first visit to the restaurant. If I recall correctly, our server was Chloe. Extremely friendly, attentive and cheerful. The food was excellent. We would certainly visit again.

    Everything was satisfactory or better. Room for improvement is making sure requests are heard from all guests before running off to grab the first thing said, and server could take a little more pride in their appearance (iron your shirt).

    We were here for a birthday and got sat at a table with barely any space between us and the one next to us. we were basically in the server alley. Birthday wasn’t acknowledged until I said something despite it being in the notes on our reso.
