   Amazing happy hour, $7 old fashioned, appetizers. Huge bourbon selection. Short rib, fried chicken sandwich and gumbo were all good. Great spot, excellent service, Free birthday dessert too. I’ll be back.

   I really enjoyed our first visit to the restaurant. If I recall correctly, our server was Chloe. Extremely friendly, attentive and cheerful. The food was excellent. We would certainly visit again.

   Everything was satisfactory or better. Room for improvement is making sure requests are heard from all guests before running off to grab the first thing said, and server could take a little more pride in their appearance (iron your shirt).

   We were here for a birthday and got sat at a table with barely any space between us and the one next to us. we were basically in the server alley. Birthday wasn’t acknowledged until I said something despite it being in the notes on our reso.

   Attended a wine tasting. Reservation and payment required ahead of the event. My reservation was for one. Arrived and was seated at a table for one far from other tables. Asked why I couldn't be seated with others as I consider wine tastings a social event. Told I should have said that when making the reservation--no option on Open Table. By the way, there were six tables with open seats. Clearly they ruined the event and evening.

   This was our first dining experience at Subourbon, a restaurant we would have not experienced but for our son's suggestion. We had a great experience. Our server, Mike, was very and engaging and guided us through the very extensive whiskey selection. The whiskeys and presentation (appropriate Glencairn) were perfect. Our entrees were outstanding as well. My gumbo had ample shrimp, chicken and sausage, with excellent flavor and heat. My son thoroughly enjoyed his braised short ribs, which appeared to be very tender. To my surprise, my wife ordered a chicken sandwich (she is not one to order sandwiches with fries). She enjoyed her meal as well - and finished it - which very seldom happens. We will certainly return to Subourbon.
