The Culinary Institute of America and the senior capstone class is proud to bring you The Golden Bloom: Where Pollinators Dance and the Harvest Flourishes. At this unique dining event, you’ll step into nature without leaving the building as students escort you through an atmosphere of wildlife and woodlands with decorations of vines, flowers, and leaves in a colorful spring mix of burnt orange, sage green, and more. Once seated, you and your guests will enjoy a four-course menu highlighting the beautiful bounty made possible by the unsung heroes of our ecosystem. In addition to our beloved bees, there are many other pollinators that make our food possible including lady bugs, butterflies, bats, and scallops. Please join us in celebrating all forms of pollination at this remarkable Event. A portion of the proceeds from this evening will support Second Chance Foods, a local Hyde Park organization dedicated to reducing food waste. Second Chance Foods donated more than 300,000 pounds of food and 100,000 fresh meals last year. They believe everyone should have access to fresh food and meals. Learn more about our charity or donate to them directly at secondchancefoods.org. An additional portion of the proceeds support the Food Dreams Foundation scholarship at the CIA, a New York City-based organization that since its foundation in 2016 has helped more than 60 students achieve their culinary-based dreams.

The students put on a phenomenal capstone event. The food was delicious and artistic, the décor was beautiful, and service was more than friendly and accommodating. Great event!

This was perhaps the best of all the previous scholarship dinners I attended. I also liked the focus on pollinators as they are very important to us as a food source. I loved the flowers also and the take home treat bag was luscious!

This charity event was amazing. Our table had excellent service - our servers were attentive and responsive. The professional demeanor by all was a beautiful sight. It was clear that this event and how they were perceived mattered to the students. The drinks were off the chart delicious and the food was fantastic. The lighting and ambiance was wonderful. We became acquainted with new folks and enjoyed our time with them. We were not disappointed and would love to attend the next charity event! Great job everyone! Thanks for having us! Outstanding student-led event. The food was wonderful. The students were engaged and organized. My only complaint is that the venue of Farquarson Hall was noisy with poor acoustics. The sound system should be better.

The students held a well planned and executed fundraiser with a fun Imagination theme based on Willy Wonka. The food, desserts, bread, wine tasting was all scrumptious! Lovely experience, second time attending. I’d highly recommend it and there are multiple student events run each semester.

The teachers and students did an amazing job with food and presentation. The service was also incredible. Very proud of Donjae and her photography and proud of her up coming graduation. Incredible time !
