It was definitely a new experience, and many of thr courses made sense. The one detractor I would say is at times it was a bit much; wayyu beef didn't really need two different sauces to help it. The blueberry desert was excellent though.
Andres was an incredible server. I came with my friend who is a chef and I have worked front of house for 12 years. We were referred by a customer and had an amazing time. The food was incredible and was made with so much creativity and intent. Andres was amazing at giving us recommendations and guided us through the whole dinner. I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone I know.
Stubborn Seed was one of the best meals I have ever had. I loved the vibe of the restaurant ( beautiful design and ambiance ) and the food was absolutely outstanding. I have ate at fabulous restaurants all over the world, so am fairly picky when dining out. I had the carrots as an appetizer and who would think.. carrots ? but I wanted something lighter, and they were SO yummy and highly recommended. I had the chicken as my entree and it was phenomenal… so tasty. Dano served me, and he was impeccable. I asked a few detailed questions and he was on point with everything and he made my experience lovely. Thanks to Stubborn Seed and I can’t wait to come back next time I am in Miami!
Simply a very pleasant restaurant. Good menu, service, wines, everything. The only mar on this visit was a photo session going on, meaning lots of flashes!
I booked on line. Outdoor seating. My choice was essentially indoor or outdoor. There was some obscure reference to a patio. I assumed that the choice was equivalent. We then showed up for our anniversary dinner to a sidewalk table, basically on the street, with car noise and fumes andI was told I booked outdoors and they could not give me an indoor table and I should have read the fine print. I went back and checked, there is no fine print. I had no COVID concerns, just thought it might be nice to eat on the patio. Later I looked at the reviews and I am not the first to complain. Btw, the inside looked very dark Shame on them. They could have really ruined my Saturday night anniversary dinner but luckily got in to forte de marmi around the corner which was superb. So happy we ended up there instead of the pompous and uncaring and stubborn seed.
Food and service were outstanding. Since the restaurant *does not* require guests to be vaccinated, we set outside on one of the few tables they have on the sidewalk to avoid being another of the many people who have gotten Covid in Florida. The indoor space is lovely, just not Covid safe in the time of the pandemic.
Food was simply outstanding, and while it happened to rain heavily (welcome to Florida), that staff took great care of us.

One of the best meals I have eaten anywhere in the world. Every plate was delicious and a work of beauty. It’s a must try and wish there was a sister restaurant in NYC!!!

This should be considered one of the top dining establishments we have in Miami. The food is mind blowing! The service is top notch. Chef is in house for the time being overseeing and putting his final touches on his masterpieces.
We dine out often (at least 3-4 times per week) and the dishes we have sampled here on 2 separate occasions have been perfectly executed, plated beautifully and of note the seasoning is impeccable! No dish is overly salted or seasoned whatsoever everything that we tasted was perfectly balanced.
Also our server Dragan was a delight he was such a professional and extremely knowledgeable about everything placed in front of us.
We look forward to dining here again!!
food was good but not amazing, the dishes were small & a $79 wagyu beef which was cold and didn't look like wagyu
Aside from our initial experience with the hostess we had a very good time. When we arrived for our reserved time, the hostess said she had already seated another couple with our name (turns out no, the other couple she seated had a different name). She acted like this was somehow our problem, and made us stand around waiting as the manager tried to sort it out. Luckily the other couple wanted to sit inside, so we were able to take their table outdoors (we had reserved for the outdoors due to Covid concerns). The server was good and conscientious and the food was excellent but our initial experience left a lingering bad taste.
Really wonderful dining experience. However the outdoor dining space was on the sidewalk and a number of passers by had to squeeze by our table, tripping on our chairs or hitting our diners. Our table was by a bus stop as well so it was quite noisy. But the food is really worth the experience. Really a wonderful time otherwise.

Exceptional food. We had 3 appetizers, 1 entree and 2 desserts and they were all very good. A few were truly extraordinary: oysters, foie gras, and blueberry dessert.

In from NYC I researched restaurants and saw the rave reviews for the Stubborn Seed. I am now here to add one more rave review. After ordering an assortment of appetizers and main courses, I can easily say that its one of the best meals I've ever had. The eclectic insanely original menu combining food flavors I've never imagined being together, made every bite a new experience. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and proud of the food they brought out. I just wish it was in NYC so I could go there every week!

We did the taste menu paired with wines, best choice we made. The food was amazing and the way the servers described the plates added to the experience. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Honestly best meal we’ve had in Miami. We did the tasting menu and every course was perfect. This place deserves a Michelin star. The drinks and food were all creative, delicious and amazing. And the service was equally as good.
Our food was excellent and reasonably innovative, but service certainly affected our impression negatively. Despite writing out our starter selections (and handing to server), wrong item was given with minimal (if any) apology. Following this, we’re fairly confined our entree selection order was either lost or not entered, as we waited almost 45 minutes for them to fully arrive after finishing starter. To be a Michelin quality restaurant, they’d need to improve service, refine the menu, and change the ambiance (too frenetic).
We did the tasting menu and it was an Incredible culinary experience. We found it hard to rank our favorite dishes but we both agreed the wagyu dish and the dessert were amazing, every bite.
Chefs menu was amazing. Very interesting food choices and preparation. Service was excellent. Outside tables were a bit noisy but inside was loud.
This was our second time at Stubborn Seed, we brought friends to celebrate their pregnancy. I was so impressed that they accommodated her restrictions with ease for the surprise tasting menu and the bartender created her a fun mocktail! Exceptional food and service from Chef Jeremy and his team :) Such a memorable experience (best music playlist too) and the highlight of our Miami trip. We’ll be back! Cheers
Tasting experience does not live up to price. Creations not well balanced (for example, lemon zest in tuna tartare dish overpowering, mint in salad was excessively bitter), service was fair, course timing was poor at best (with dishes initially feeling rushed and then taking forever near the end). Needs improvement to make the cost worth it.
We loved our dinner at Stubborn Seed. We ordered the chef’s choice tasting menu and it was not just a meal, it was a memorable experience. The food presentation was very artful and the flavors were incredible. I especially loved the red snapper-I haven’t had a fish dish so delicious since Nobu’s black cod with miso! I also thought the blueberry dessert was perfect—the olive oil cake was so good. I would highly recommend the Stubborn Seed.
Loved the Subburn Seed all around. The food and its presentation are above and beyond. The music level in my opinion could be turned down a few notches. The food experience and my dining companions are what matters.

We had dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Got there at 8:30 and were seated immediately, waited 15 minutes before someone asked us what kind of water we wanted. We ordered the 8-course tasting menu, food was fantastic, but timing between courses was extremely long and we missed our upcoming post-dinner plans. In total, we were there for 3.5 hours. They gave us a couple wine pairings since we had to wait so long, which we appreciated. And the manager did comp our 3 cocktails and 2 waters, but not until after we mentioned the long wait times. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for the fact that the waitstaff was aloof and timing was terrible.
This was a wonderful experience with a restaurant that clearly cares about its customers. They had our name printed on the menu for our anniversary celebration. Our server Kassandra was so attentive, as well as the rest of the staff. We order the cacio e Pepe puffs, rabbit mosaic and jalapeño fritters as starters. All amazing. We had the chicken and red snapper for our mains and they were both outstanding. For desert, we had the chocolate sponge cake with horcata ice cream and Chile sauce. It’s amazing how the chefs really blend all these amazing flavors together. If Miami had a Michelin guide, I’m sure this restaurant would earn a star. Would definitely come back!
