Great value for all the amazing food we ate. We tried tuna tar tar, breaded pickles, pork, and chicken dinners. The flavors on the chicken were amazing when combined with the pomme and sauce.

What a phenomenal, culinary experience! Chef Ford is truly a genius in the kitchen - and the service staff was equally as good! Do yourself a favor and get the surprise 8-course tasting menu. You will NOT regret it!

We ordered 3 food items including the $140 4oz wagyu steak as a couple, sat at the bar, we waited about 30 minutes between small courses while the restaurant was half full, no apology or any kind of contrition. Bartender was great, cocktails delicious. All the food came out room temp. A lot of attention paid to big groups, very little to us. We came to eat a small quick bite, this was not that. Spent over $300 to be ignored by the kitchen, they appeared to be having fun in there while continuously pushing our ticket aside.

Let me start by saying that Stubborn Seed unequivocally has the best food in Miami. Having been here four times over the last few months, the kitchen is masterful at both food and presentation. Which is why I’m so baffled by what’s going on in the front of house. Literally each time I’ve arrived, I’ve waited at the often empty desk which is supposedly there to greet you. Sometimes for a terminally long time. No eye contact from the wait staff, nor the bartenders, nor the man I assume is leading the front. It’s confusing to not feel welcome in such a welcoming restaurant. Tonight I waited about 5 minutes. And I watched as every arriving guest waited as well. Some whispered about it. Others didn’t. Last week when I walked in, this same man was actually at the desk but he was so engaged in conversation with that nights hostess that I was invincible. There was not a head gesture, or eye contact, or a simple ‘be right with you’. Nothing. Which brings me back to: I’m so baffled by the front of house leadership ! Is this looked upon as ok behavior? Do you like guests to feel unwelcome ? Is it condescension or lack of self awareness ? It’s an easy fix if it’s the latter. Not so much if it’s the former. I’ll obviously return in the short term because the servers are doing their job and the food is so stupendous. It’s the management team that is really blowing it. And, again, I’m so baffled by that. I’d truly love to talk to you about it because I do think you can be an astounding restaurant. Right now your service issues are overshadowing your brilliant kitchen team. And me standing at your desk feeling like a fool waiting for you to acknowledge me will eventually make me stop coming.

We had a wonderful time food was outstanding. We arrived late for our reservation no problem getting seated at our table. So cool with the open kitchen it was late on a Sunday. Typically you think the staff in the kitchen would be burnt out after the weekend but they all looked so happy working. That was really nice to see as a guest. Food was fantastic the flavors everything was so fresh. We ordered most of the apps and never felt rushed which was also enjoyable. None of the three entrees really sounded good to me so we just jumped right into desert. I had already had one of the desserts at an event at swank farms. So I chose the chocolate and the other two smaller deserts. They were all great but I’m still thinking about that chocolate desert. The only disappointment was I wish there were a few more dinner options or more protein in the appetizer part of the menu. But everything was fantastic the nudi was better the first time I had it, this time it had too much foam undercooked mushrooms and tiny nudi so that was kinda a let down it was still delicious but I had the first one to compare it to so I just expected it to taste just as good as the first time. But the tuna was the best tuna app I’ve had in my life. The tomato salad with the snow goes wonderfully with the potato Chorizo app. I honestly wanted to have the chef throw an egg on top of that dish!!!!! The cheese puffs were like perfect little clouds with a much appreciated generous dusting of cheese. The staff made me feel so special with a personalized menu for my bday and other treats. Can’t wait till my next visit to Miami stubborn seed will def be a stop

10/10 100% recommend this restaurant! It's a great date night spot or a special occasion. I highly recommend the Chef's Surprise tasting menu with the wine pairing. Be prepared to be wowed by items you would never pick for yourself off the menu. I'm still on cloud 9 from our experience. And if we didn't get dessert with the tasting I probably would have ordered one of each dessert!

Our experience was very good. Great service and friendly server. Food was excellent. We are vegetarian and there was enough selection for the two of us. The endive salad was prepared exceptionally well. There was no bitterness that sometimes accompanies endives. The cacio pepe cheese puffs were good and the accompanying house made pickles were AMAZING. They stole the show. They also made the grits vegetarian for us. Really it’s polenta. It was prepared so well also. Fourth dish was gnudi - seemed like gnocchi to us and pretty good.
