Very good food, but the portions were very miniscule.
This experience hits our top 5 dining of all time. We booked again for the week we were here just to get try the chefs tasting menu. Every dish came out to perfection. We highly recommend this for your next dinner out.
Expensive & small portions, but nuanced & complex flavors, balanced so well. Delicious.

The service front of the house and environment sadly don’t live up an easy $150-200 per person.
The Worst part of Stubborn is the noise level — even with a few people the concrete floor uninsulated ceilings and plain wood tables — make the noise level above conversational — worse they play loud music over a poorly distributed speaker system making yelling the only way to be heard or anyone over the age of 30 to ask for constant repetition for their dining companions just said.
Worse the staff / manager dont seem to care too much
Blaming it on the chef and that they will get in trouble of the chef comes out ... This sounds absolutely crazy.
Pre Covid you couldn’t get a reservation for months now i habe dined at least 5-6x and the place is never fully booked. stubborn is not a scene restaurant — the longest surviving retaurants depend on repeat local business.::. How do these prices with an environment one cannot hear
And that’s inappropriate to the restaurant and food.
Service that fluctuates between outstanding to dreadfully dismissive to rude doesn’t sound like a long life to me. It’s a shame because the food is really spectacular — maybe Chef should come out and speak to customers rather than have his staff fearful if they turn the music down to low for his tastes

Amazing place, delicious food
We loved everything about it. We did the chef tasting menu and opted for the wine pairing as well. It was pricey - but oh em gee! Delicious. Every bite was unbelievable.
Excellent service, food was superb, all plates were presented well, flavors unique! Recommend if you are in south beach to give it a try...won’t be disappointed.
One of Miami's best restaurants and a new favorite
This was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. The fine dining in a rock-n-roll atmosphere was unique and wonderful!

The flavors found here, even in the salad are such high level. The server we had knows the menu extremely well- not just knowing the items on the menu but the precise preparations and what makes them special.
The tomato and kumquat salad under "fois gras snow" is the most delicious thing I ate this year. Rest of menu is excellent too. Outdoor seating is on the sidewalk but not bad. Inside is industrial chic but LOUD.

Excellent presentation and service. The food is Michelin star worthy. Every single bite was phenomenal and the combinations were unusual, popped with flavor and unique. We ordered five different dishes and all were exceptional. We asked our waiter what to order and he selected all our dishes. Ask the waiter ...they know! We will go back again and again. The food was delicious and we enjoyed every course. However, when we first arrived the dishes flew out of the kitchen and we thought we’d be done within an hour and a half. Then the dessert course took over an hour to come out. It was also a tad strange that they ran out of the ingredients for 3 different drinks our table tried to order. It was NYE so maybe they were overwhelmed, but the wait definitely detracted from the whole experience.
Food was amazing great flavors and perfectly executed
It was abysmal. It is a shame this restaurant can remain open during the pandemic while so many others across the nation are forced to close. We got the tasting menu only after being ignored by the staff for nearly an hour and having to stand up 4x to ask for water/menus/etc. The meal then took over 4 hours we decided to cancel the rest of our food and cut our losses. The food was also served cold and multiple dishes were put out without utensils to eat. We then had to ask for those multiple times as well. All of this and they discounted the bill only 10%. It was truly an unacceptable dining experience for a restaurant of any quality - let alone one that is supposed to be fine dining.

Big hype. Tasting menu was good. Had to send back the beef selection because it was all fat. Uneven pace. Nice servers. Loud. No social distancing.
The 8-course tasting menu was wonderful, with very creative yet simple dishes. Our favorite was the Oahu ceviche with lime and carrot juice. Also the gingerbread French toast with biscuit flavored ice cream and roasted pear— so yummy! It’s a bit pricey (we added the elevated wine pairing, and the total was over $600 for two people with the gratuity)— but for a special occasion it’s perfect. Highly recommend!
Delicious food and wine pairing! We got the tasting menu and had a lot of fun. Everything was delicious. There is room for improvement would reside in waiters getting better knowledge of the wines (our waiter never knew what he was serving us) and the dessert was quite ordinary. Apart from that the meat, fish, tuna tartare and mushroom dishes were top notch, and the atmosphere and the room super nice. strongly recommend trying this for a special night out!

Always been a fan of Jeremy Ford (from his time on Too Chef)-I knew the food was going to be good but everything far exceeded my expectations. Fine dining and superb hospitality in a very relaxed and fun/comfortable setting (including a big window looking into the kitchen). Taking familiar dishes and putting new flavor profiles on them. Every dish was delicious and harmonious. I wanted seconds of you everything...great wine pairings to go with it (and generous pours I might add). The dinner ate very light and clean. Loved everything about my experience there (did the tasting menu, took 3 hrs so don’t expect to be in and out quickly but that’s not the point of a dinner like this one. It’s about having an experience!)
16th wedding anniversary
Literally the best experience ever. Service is impeccable. My husband and I love Michelin Star restaurants but Miami had none. Boy does this one deserve one! The chef is amazing and a pretty kind guy. It’s rare you can see the kitchen and people cooking but seeing the head chef cook is even more rare. If you’re visiting Miami this is a must try spot. Worth the expense. Do the tasting menu with the wine pairing.
My wife and I tried chef’s surprise 8 course dinner, I would recommend this restaurant to enjoy interesting combinations, definitely deserve a star. Great job

Everything was great. The only minor improvement would be if the waiter gave better explanations of each dish's portion size. Highly recommend the crispy pork with grits.

Was expecting more for the money. The dish that stood out to us was the RICOTTA GNUDI, quite delicious. The dessert; MILK CHOCOLATE CHILE CREMEUX was amazing. We had the tasting menu plus a few additional dishes. However, everything else failed to impress or was really all that memorable. Overall, we walked away full, just not blown away. We have eaten at much cheaper restaurants and been more impressed with the food. Would love to come back and enjoy dessert and a few drinks in the future but I’ll forego the expensive and unimpressive mains.

I took my friend to Stubborn Seed to celebrate his birthday and had a phenomenal experience. We both had the Chef's tasting menu and each course was fantastic. Service was also impeccable with just the right amount of attentiveness without being intrusive. Highly, Highly recommend.
