Stubborn Seed will be hosting a chef collaboration dinner with the chef at Ghee, Pushkar Marathe. Guests can opt to try the $95 five-course pre-set menu or order a la carte from the same special menu. Our regular menu will not be available.

I am a local and this is the second time I have been to Stubborn Seed. It is outstanding. The food and service are excellent. We did brunch for Miami Spice. Try it out!
I have been to Stubborn Seed twice and both experiences have been outstanding! The food is espectacular and the service is A+.
After a long time in Miami we came across a place where every bite was delicious and delectable. Already made reservations to come back again
We chose to eat at Stubborn Seed as it was highly recommended in multiple blogs, lists & review sites. While the food was presented well, but it either lacked flavor or was overwhelming. The staff seemed less than enthused to be there which made the experience less exciting. The oddest part was the mix of 70’s hard rock music. It did not go well with the ambiance of the restaurant or the price. Overall not a bad experience but not memorable either (except for the cookies).

Very poor service and unenthusiastic staff. We asked for the Miami spice menu and ordered exclusively off of it. When I got home, I realized they charged me a la carte for the items ordered off MIAMI spice. Not cool at all. Would not go back. Food was subpar.
We had Sunday brunch with our friends we were 4pp.
We had an outstanding experience. The food was over the top everything tasted excellent the food was very detailed, and the flavors were mind blowing.
The service was great he was on top of his game.
We will definitely return back for dinner, and more.

It is definitely a great place. I'd totally recommend the tasting menu, there are not that many and you will miss the full experience by not taking it. I have to say plate #4 and #5 took a little long loosing the pace but the service was great in general and personnel knowledgeable.
The ambiance is great, its a nice place but not fancy. The focus is the food, service and has such a good bartender.

Arguably, the best restaurant in Miami/Miami Beach. We finally have a restaurant to rival those of New York and Chicago. The meal and service were flawless.
My only slight comment would be that they should incorporate some more carbs to accompany the dishes. However, this is a small price to pay for such an incredible dinner.

This is another one of my TOP favorites in Miami Beach, I have been here several times, dinner, brunch, tasting menu, sooo good, this time we tried the Miami Spice menu for dinner.
I had the Open Fire Charred Peach, I thought it was amazing, sweet but yet spicy, really really good, then I had the Barely Cooked Royal Red Shrimp, also very tasty and to finish the Corn Pavlova, which I loved. My friend the Genuine Red Snapper, Mary’s Ranch Suckling Pig and the Snickerdoodle cookies, all very tasty, the quality of the food here is always great and chef Jeremy Ford’s Creations always unique, just love it

Really lovely food. Waited a little long for the food but it was most enjoyable when it arrived.
Excellent service, beautiful & equally delicious dishes. Interesting flavor combinations. Really a great find for some very interesting food. The only downside for me is that it was quite noisy would be great to place some noise reduction panels.
Phenomenal Miami Spice meal, highly recommended!! The only thing I thought was overrated were the cookies- a tad too much salt for my liking- but everything else was superb.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, even as an avowed NYC foodie. The food might look overly complicated but it is NOT - there was such care in every dish. GET THE HALIBUT. And also everything else.
We had a reservation for 845 and weren’t sat down till 935 we sat didn’t get our food for about 30 minutes one of our dishes had a hair in it and had to be returned to the kitchen
Stubborn seed has a great vibe, dimly lit surroundings create the perfect fine dining experience
The bar is fantastic, try the cocktails for sure
The menu is seasonal and always being changed with new innovations from the Chef/owner

If you decide to indulge in dessert, try the snickerdoodle cookies with the malted milk ice cream!
We ordered two desserts but found that after a starter and main each, one would have been enough
There is a sharing concept in that, food arrives when it's ready, so you share each dish as it arrives
It was great food by far and we will go again for sure
Knocked off 1 star because, imho, it's not the best in Miami

Food was very good. A couple dishes missed the mark - the fish toast was burned and had too much fish to toast. We did like the wahoo, chicken, and suckling pig. The big issue was service from the kitchen - everything took way too long between courses. Front of the house was very apologetic but it ruined the experience. Great value meal with Miami Spice menu,but the kitchen needs to figure out expediting better. "The kitchen is backed up with Miami Spice tickets and yours is last" shouldn't be an excuse. We ate at other miami spice restaurants this week and didn't have this problem.
Very very good restaurant I really enjoyed it and there Miami spice menu was a great deal since the regular pricing is high. The meal was incredible from start to finish.
Went for Miami Spice but was not given the Spice menu until we specifically requested it. Also, the menu on the website was significantly different from the Spice menu that night so you should call ahead on the day you plan to go. In any case, we had the crispy potatoes and the peach salad for appetizers, both of which were good. For entrees we had the chicken, which was the best chicken anywhere - moist, tender, with a nice sauce and creamy mashed potatoes - and the bronzino with flavorful sauce. They offered a new dessert on the Spice menu - a coconut flan, and we also had the snickerdoodle cookies with malt ice cream - both were rich and a highlight of the meal. Service was excellent.
Miami spice menu was great. The suckling pig was outstanding.

Dining at Stubborn Seed reminds me of dining at Le Cirque in 1995. The food is creative. The flavors are pure. It is truly exceptional. My only regret is that it is so outstanding, it willl soon be difficult to get into.
This review upsets me to write. The first time my wife & I ate @ Stubborn Seed was back in January 2019 and the entire meal was extremely memorable - one of the best. No so for our 2nd visit yesterday celebrating our 43rd Anniversary. We were truly looking forward to this occasion. We both opted for the 8-course Chef's menu w/ wine pairing which is what we had ordered for our first visit 7 months ago. We also supplemented with a mini Junmai Daijingo (300 ml) sake - this was the start of a rather mediocre meal - the sake was supposed to be clean & crisp - it was clean looking but the nose and the flavor was milky and not pleasant at all. Now the food was very well prepared but something has happened to the accompanying sauces. One of the dishes was halibut that was almost grated placed on top of thick toast that was pretty well burnt. There was so much hot peppers added that the fish was totally overpowered. It was somewhat Ok if you knew how to eat it - eat the fish separate (still just hot & spicy) and then tear the toast apart and eat the center of the bread. Another dish was fried potato pieces - why?? It was simply a filler dish - no reason for this. There was a celery root dish w/ a nice soft quail egg on top of caviar but what was the purpose of the caviar - totally disappeared in the dish. Another overpoweringly spicy dish was sashimi local Redfish nicely piled up but surrounded with a super spicy white colored sauce that was pretty because it had green oil floating on top (cilantro?). Again it was OK if you knew how to eat it - keep the fish away from the spicy sauce that absolutely killed the sashimi. One standout dish was a lavash cracker topped with delicate chicken liver mouse as good as fois gras. This was the best dish of the night BUT I really did not appreciate the waitress putting her finger into my chicken liver. Desert was great! My wife & I really will have to struggle deciding if we will ever return to give the restaurant a 3rd try. SORRY.
