Stubborn Seed will be hosting a chef collaboration dinner with the former chef at No Name Chinese, Pablo Zitzmann. Guests can opt to try the $95 five-course pre-set menu or order a la carte from the same special menu. Our regular menu will not be available.

Amazing. Our waiter Jake was incredibly nice and helpful with regards to menu choices. Also, the pastry chef just won best in miami and she is super sweet and her desserts to die for. Everything we had was delicious. We did the 8 course tasting menu and it was perfect!

We went into Stubborn seed with an appetite. We were a little concerned with the "bread basket" being so small. But quickly realized the menu is set-up to build, as each course provides a little bit more. Stubborn seed is 100% meant for sharing.
Overall, the experience was good...not great. The space itself is nice. My fiancé and I decided to try this place to celebrate my birthday (which I indicated in the reservation) but no one acknowledged this when I checked in or later on during the meal. This was very disappointing since other restaurants I’ve booked with opentable at least say “happy birthday.”
We tried the tasting menu and the food was complex and tasty, from what we could tell ourselves. The biggest issue we had was with the service. When we’ve dined at other establishments the wait staff always have made us feel welcomed, especially if we’re paying a pretty penny for a tasting menu AND it’s a special occasion meal, but this was not the case here. The waiter barely told us about the dishes as they came out and didn’t really check on us throughout the meal. The courses took a very long time to come out (30-45 minutes) and when they did, we just had a brief explanation of what the dish contained.
Additionally, the waiter never came around to fill our water glasses or ask if we needed anything. We did notice that there was a table who seemed to know the wait staff and was getting special attention. Because of this, all the other tables including ours were neglected. There was a birthday at this VIP table and they brought out a special dessert with a candle. Towards the end of the meal, my fiancé told our waiter it was my birthday while I was in the restroom and asked if they could put a candle in the last course which was the dessert course. The waiter told him that they aren’t allowed to use candles. Very odd since they just had one for the other table! They brought some cookies as an extra dessert (which were delicious) but they should have already prepared something in advance since it was written in the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Maybe things would have been different without the VIP table, but because of them, we didn’t have the best experience.
The food was phenomenal. We chose the 8 course tasting menu and truly could not choose what we liked best. There was some type of snafu in or order that caused our dinner to take 3.5 hours instead of the 2.5 hours we were told it would take. However, our server and the manager did everything to apologize and try to compensate, including comping extra desserts that were both amazing and difficult to eat because we were already so full. It was, overall, a great experience, and we would gladly eat there again.

The tasting menu was brilliant and they were completely accommodating of my gluten allergy. Genuinely perfect dining experience with gracious and well versed service and spectacular food.
The food was over the top delicious; the service was superb but the noise level was just too much. Impossible to carry on a conversation and this gem will probably suffer due to the noise.
We went to Stubborn Seed at the receommendation of a friend. The food was spectacular and the service was 5 star! They even accommodated me with the tasting menu because I don’t eat red meat. I will definitely return....

Dishes are beautiful, but flavor is ok
The hot foie gras may be the best thing we ever tasted. Don’t share! The menu was unusual and brilliantly executed. There’s no gimmicks, just wonderful innovation pulled off very, very well. The wine list was good but limited. Better than serviceable but not for total oenophiles. Go there for sure.
Great food experience in Miami! It’s pricey, but if you’re a foodie, this is the place for you. Small space but cool atmosphere!
Not a great experience. Sat at the bar and was told I couldn’t order the fluke because they wanted to shut the station down. This is at 10pm on a Thursday night of a holiday week end?? No fluke for you!!

Mussels - Succulent bone marrow with a flavorful broth. The best mussels that I’ve had and it’s one of my favorite dishes to order.

A wonderful experience. The staff is courteous, professional and attentive. My server, Ashley was delightful. I was a solo diner and they all made me feel comfortable. I had the 5-course chef’s tasting menu with the optional wine pairing - highly recommend! The raw Atlantic fluke was amazing.

This may be south Florida’s best restaurant when it comes to fine dining. Top 3 for sure! Everything we ate was unique and outstanding.
Unbelievable! We went with the 8 course surprise tasting menu and were blown away. There were dishes that we may not have ordered but were pleasantly surprised. We left feeling full & completely satisfied. The story that was told throughout each course was orchestrated beautifully, from ocean floor to land. The only thing missing was chef Jeremy Ford, but that gives us a reason to return the next time we're in Miami.
We were visiting Miami for a weekend, and read tantalizing reviews of Stubborn Seed, so we were anticipating a great meal. And it was. All the servers, the menu, the setting, our entire dinner was great. We only regret we don't live in Miami so we could eat there often.
Most of the dishes were delicious (pork) but some of them simply basic (lettuce)
Extrange that they promote the menu to be share but most of the plates had only 3 portions for the four of us, a very odd number
The bad things - server was untrained in service, menu, wine and customer service. She defaulted to NO even when asked for boiling water - as the tea and coffee machine was broken.

The food was unbelievable. I can see why this chef deserved to be top chef. We did the 8 course tasting menu and at $125pp it was honestly worth it. I left very full but not like I wanted to explode. Every single dish was amazing, I’d recommend this to everyone!! The stand outs were the celery root, dressed oysters, fluke crisp and foie gros dish.

This restaurant is by far one of the most innovative culinary scene I have experienced in Miami ....the food was off the charts good-all while honoring honest and local ingredients when possible. The see through kitchen window is a great feature. The decor is a bit cold ( may benefit from tableclothes) and that’s literally the only negative. Bravo to a truly artistic food adventure!!
