Overall very good food. Ribeye was extremely fatty and light on the meat for the price, but otherwise everything was excellent from food to service to ambiance (slightly on the loud side FYI)

Once they got 2/3 full though the kitchen slowed down quite a bit and there were larger gaps in serving up tasting menu courses! Needs to be fixed or it will be an issue!

Incredible meal. We had a great window seat into the kitchen. For the price, the service and attentiveness could have been better. It is a limited menu but still phenomenal food. My main issue was with the server and his recommendation and guidance. For a super high end, gastro intellect style dinner you have to look to your server a little for combinations and wine pairings. For me at least. We started with Lavash, which I did not even know was Duck Liver, as like an intro or small shared bite. And then server allowed us to order the Foigrois so it was stuffed liver again?
Besides that the celery root was amazing. The poached lobster incredible. We then had the chicken. And even thought it was very, very good. For this type of place and these prices each dish needs to be memorable.
So all in all amazing place but they need to step up their game a tad.
Service was horrible....with no reason... food were taken out of the table before finishing eating. Restaurant had empty tables, nobody waiting, no reason to rush and push an expensive meal....
Stubborn seed was without a doubt one of the best means I have had. I went there for an anniversary dinner, and the food was amazing. We did the chef's menu, and it was a lot of expertly crafted food at an appropriate price for the quality of the food.
If you are a foodie like us, try Stubborn Seed for your next dinner date! We loved the service as well. We went on July 4th, which is both my husband and my birthday. We were treated to a glass of champagne on the house. We tried out several different dishes, all easy to share and 2 desserts. Overall, would definitely go again and recommend it to others.

Food is very high quality, innovative, and comforting at the same time.
My wife and I had dinner here while on vacation. Everything was outstanding. It's a very small restaurant. I'd estimate there are about 10 tables in the dining area. All of the tables have a view of a large window. You can watch the chef and his staff prepare the meals through the window. It's the kind of place where you can order several small plates and share. The presentation of the dishes were as beautiful as any I've seen. The cocktails were also superb. I think the celery root was our favorite dish.
We just had our first meal and it was very impressive. Food presentations were not only stunning, but the flavors and textures were superb. We look forward to returning and bringing friends.
I highly recommend this restaurant for any night of the week. We tried for the first time on a Saturday which the busiest night for restaurant and they hit a homerun with us. The food, the staff, service, the ambience, were all exceptional.

Servings are small and prices are high, so be ready to spend $500 for a table for 4. Other than that, the food is amazing and the service is great.
Food came before wine which is very strange for an up-scale place. Also the level of noise is over the top - really distracting and annoying.
Food itself was superb, great attention to products used and meticulous presentation. If only surrounding people did not have to be so loud...

Food was excellent - unfortunately it almost never made it out. Our chef’s tasting menu dining experience was abruptly cut short for about 45-60 minutes. No dishes were coming out, a few apologies here and there and yet still there were mistakes. Two dishes came out during one course in lieu of four; more apologies were made and a round of drinks on the house for the oversight. Towards the end of service, the manager abruptly walks out, not to be seen again.
It was a regrettable experience. The food was exquisitely presented and delectable. It’s truly unfortunate however that the service does not match the caliber of the cuisine, particularly at that price point.
Flavors and presentation are outstanding. We ordered a la carte and shared the plates. The foie gras, wahoo, and house spaghetti are a must, as are the snickerdoodle cookies!

Wife and I were down in South Beach for our anniversary. We had looked at Stubborn Seed before coming down as an option for dinner. The food seemed eclectic and pricey but the reviews were great so we decided to check it out. So glad that we did.
Just before we arrived, my wife had found a review mentioning the Chef’s Tasting Menu but couldn’t find any additional information on it. We decided we needed to know more.
The restaurant is very unassuming as you walk in: a small bar, a few high tops up front and more tables in the back. Seating for 30 maybe? Not very big. We were greeted by the bartender and told someone would be right with us. Host came over, looked up our reservation and sat us all in very short order.
The bartender came over and told us he was going to be our server for the evening, not sure if they were short staffed or if that was normal for them, but it didn’t matter, he was fantastic and attentive. (I feel bad for not remembering his name as I write this review). We said we were interested in the chefs tasting menu with wine pairings and he let us know it would be 8 courses served over a 2 hour period and that we had made it just in time. (Our reservation was for 8:45. I imagine they stop serving the chefs menu after 9 as they close at 11.)
What followed was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Just go, get the tasting menu with a pairing, you couldn’t possibly be disappointed.
The service was great; so friendly and helpful with suggestions.
The space is decorated really thoughtfully with great attention to detail.

WOW! By far top restaurant in Miami! No where else is even close! From the moment you are greeted by the manager Fred Ross to the wait staff and servers...everything is friendly and first class. Food is beyond delicious! Presentions beautiful. Every bite multiple layers of flavor perfectly prepared! Big shout out to the smoked and seared fois gras with strawberry/rhubarb jam. Best fois gras I’ve had anywhere in the world! Can’t wait to return!!!!
