Located on the corner of Ocean and 21, across from The Breakers Resort, is the newest restaurant and bar to open in Myrtle Beach. Here at Strong Waters we strive to support all things local including businesses, the community, local farmers and artisans. We shop at local farmers markets in the area for herbs, cheeses, produce and sustainable fish found on our menu as well as the produce we utilize behind the bar.

At Strong Waters, we take the meaning of craft to the next level by sourcing only the freshest and highest quality ingredients for our cocktails and cuisine. We utilize the “Farm to Shaker” method for our cocktails, meaning we create unique drinks from local ingredients that transport you to another time and place. Our craft beer list is constantly changing and we only select beer from breweries around the state to give you a true taste of the Carolinas. Website advertises farm to table- it’s not. Server was very friendly but lacked overall restaurant knowledge. We were looking forward to a dry aged steak that is no longer on the menu and no steak substitute offered. Location was great for us and we enjoyed the ambience and live music. Probably wouldn’t back unless it was to have a drink at the bar and listen to the music.

My husband and I went in at 6:45 for our 7pm reservation. There was a not so great smell as you walked in that was not food related, more like a septic issue. Not super pleasant. There were 3 employees behind the bar, 2 customers at a hightop. We were told to " just sit where ever". We sat down and one of the waitresses/ bartenders snarkily said " you can't sit there, that is for a reserved table". We got up and went to a table for 6 in a far corner ( which we had avoided sitting at as we only had 4 people) and sat there. It took a while for someone to finally come and get a drink order. The waitress had ZERO personality and ZERO sales ability. We then got a cocktail and waited for our guests. Once they arrived, they waited over 7 minutes for someone to come get their drink order and get me a 2nd cocktail. No apology for waiting, nothing. Meanwhile no other guests had arrived in the restaurant and in fact the other two people had left. Just the four of us....3 servers....virtually no service. As for the food, it was good. The shortrib appetizer was delicious and tender and the cornbread was tasty. The seafood dip was okay, not great but not bad. The cocktails were good. There was NO help from the server other than telling us that they were out of the $42 dry aged strip steak. We tried to engage her and tried to ask some questions, but it was NOT a productive experience. 2 of us got the mahi, one got a scallop salad and I got the blackened shrimp and gnocci. The food was good, except the dressing wasnt homemade ( she confirmed) and the blackened shrimp and gnocchi was INCREDIBLY spicy. Kind of like too much seasoning was added. We got their 3 desserts and split them and they were lovely. Each worth getting again ( banana pudding trifle, lemon and blueberry square and apple pice ala mode.) Would I go there again? Not sure.the smell and the bad service were a bummer. But the menu was good and the craft cocktails all looked fun.

Small intimate restaurant. Food was fine but nothing special. The sliders & burger were okay but kinda dry. Our server was great and attentive. The dessert however was delicious! We had the apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

Food was good-tge meat had a subtle smoke flavor,not over powering, loved the brisket and bbq wings which were done so well! The corn was a little too acidic for me, but the food overall as very good! Also service was quick! the staff was wonderful esp as we had a 10month old, they even had a high chair ready at our table. Also music was good😊Great restaurant

Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to this restaurant. To say that the food and service were subpar is giving it a ton of credit. Unfortunately, barely any of our meal was edible . And they were so understaffed that it took forever to receive anything. Would not recommend.

This place is just so good. We ate here twice during our 1 week vacation. They do an excellent job from start to finish. The ambiance, drinks, food and service are the best we have found in the area. You can tell they care about the experience customers have. The tables are spacious and not packed on top of each others. Great bourbon selection. The Tri-tip will not disappoint. My children ate brussels sprouts. Skip the crowded chains and go here. Ask Bernard to make you a double orange old fashioned.

We found this place online. It did not disappoint! Excellent drinks, service and food. My teen daughters asked to go back again later this week. They loved the street corn and sprouts.

Great food and great service! Mallory was wonderful with awesome recommendations. Everything we had was excellent- low country dip, wings, crab cake, brick chicken and the bbq. The drinks were top notch as well- Old Fashioned, Ruby Rose, Lemon Berry Mojito were our favorites. Definitely recommend going!

Don’t waste your time or money. The food was average with high prices. I ordered smoky ceasar dressing as stated on the menu. The waitress said the cook said there wasn’t smoky dressing just charred lettuce. When we asked about the aged steak the waitress said “well it’s covered in mold” the service was slow and unprofessional. The fact the restaurant was empty at 5:30 should have tipped us off but we fell for the obvious fake high reviews.

Tried the Brisket and was very disappointed, it was rather tough and looked like it was heated on the grill, not sure what was going on. The waitress did mention it was just getting done so maybe it was rushed. The crab cakes were good but mayo based more like an imperial. Street corn was great but rather spicy for some. Overall it was fair.

Deserves more traffic than it’s getting. Made our reservation based on Open Table score and was surprised by how empty it was. Great location, easy parking in The Breakers deck should make this a popular place. Cocktails were great & good selection. Our appetizer (low country dip), dessert (banana pudding cheesecake trifle) and my crab cake were all fantastic! Scallops tasted great but were a bit overcooked on one side & asparagus was overcooked. Our server - Tiffany - was fabulous! She gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great meal. This is a new restaurant as of thos writing, so they need to build their customer base and get some ambiance going. But the food was excellent. Low Country Dip was very tasty (but filling). Rib Stack was the best ribs I have EVER had. Mixed salad and sliders were excellent as well. One of the best meals we have had in Myrtle Beach.

Most things on menu from website were not available at restaurant, which was disappointing. We had shrimp & gnocchi dish, aged steak, brussel sprouts, banana pudding. None of food was memorable, over cooked steak and gnocchi.

Stopped in for dinner tonight since we were in the area. Decent menu and we decided on the BBQ chicken tacos and tri tip steak & cheese sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals, however my fries were not overly hot. Kaitlyn was our server and she was friendly, attentive, checked back and didn't auction off the food. They don't add any service charge or "operational fee" for using credit cards, which we appreciated. Just goes to show that if you give servers an incentive to give good service, most of the time they will, and Kaitlyn did. Prices are par for the course for a tourist area (a bit high), but since it was good, it's OK.

The cornbread was outstanding. The crab cake was the best I’ve ever had. The rib meat literally fell off the bones. The low country dip is a dish I would order again. I would definitely recommend eating at the restaurant.

We chose this restaurant based on reviews but when we walked in at 6:45 on a Saturday night, it was empty. Not a good sign... but our server was very friendly and efficient and the food was just ok. I had the fish tacos and my friend said her chicken was dry and the comments about the burgers were not great. It was birthday celebration and there were 6 of us and it was a bit of a let down. Sorry.

Cute place. We went on a Wednesday evening during spring break. Our server was friendly and hard-working. Sadly they are clearly understaffed, as she was the only server working. One bartender - good cocktail, but we were there 40 minutes before we got our drinks, and an hour before we got our food. Food was really, really good. If they can fix their staffing issue, we would go there again in a heartbeat.

Strong Waters is a hidden gem! We went in on a Saturday night and were so impressed by the the quality of the food and the level of service. Our waiter (Bernard?) made several recommendations, and all were good. Of particular note is the Low Country dip, which had my family scraping the bowl to get every last bit out. The only negative is that we came in right after a large party, so our meals were a little slow coming out. But even with that, our server was attentive, letting us know we were next up and making sure our drinks were full.

My husband and I tried out this new restaurant because we wanted to be on the ocean. The first issue we encountered was that there was no parking anywhere. Everything nearby is a tow zone. They are on the busiest tourist street with no dedicated parking! We went in the dead of winter and found a single space on the street about 7 blocks away. The ambiance was nice and they had live music. I had already viewed the menu and chose scallops. When dinner came it was nicely presented on the plate. Everything tasted great except the asparagus. It was itsy bitsy thin, shrunken, and tasteless. I would say to try it and you decide.
