Strong Waters Craft Cocktails & Kitchen
At Strong Waters, we take the meaning of craft to the next level by sourcing only the freshest and highest quality ingredients for our cocktails and cuisine. We utilize the “Farm to Shaker” method for our cocktails, meaning we create unique drinks from local ingredients that transport you to another time and place. Our craft beer list is constantly changing and we only select beer from breweries around the state to give you a true taste of the Carolinas. Speaking of taste, we believe you’ll love our take on the flavors of the Lowcountry in the dishes on our main menu!
Pencil thin fries tossed in truffle oil and parmesan cheese, served with a garlic aioli
Sea Bass Risotto
Chilean Sea Bass herb marinated and seared, topped with a compound herb butter accompanied with asparagus and risotto
Chef's choice of local cured meats and local cheeses, pickled vegetables, mostarda, and preserves
Had the sea bass and it was very good. I think it was a little overpriced. I was still hungry after eating so I got a salad.
Didn't actually eat here, we turned around at the door. Strange atmosphere happening this night
We found the restaurant through open table, thought the menu sounded good, and had a kids menu, so we booked it. The place was nearly empty when we walked in. It’s a very nice looking bar, and was nearly silent when we arrived, so we were very concerned since we have 5 little ones. We were seated promptly, the only waitress was super friendly, and our food was tasty. The drinks were on point. The place filled up by the time we finished, and a guy was setting up for live music. The Gouda Mac n cheese is absolutely delicious!
Excellent staff. Very attentive. Great drinks, food and live music was a great. Fun place to be and good food to have. Very different on the inside. This place is a must!!
The fish tacos had very little fish on them.
They were out of a lot of food products and some cocktails. Also, burning incense presented a very strong smoky odor. Not my fave.
Michelle was a great bar tender
This is the second time I have been to Strong Waters this summer. The first time they were short staffed in May, but the bartender/waiter/busboy (all in one) did a great job and the food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, and it's a really cool atmosphere. This time, the only staff on the floor was the manager - she was hostess, bartender, waiter, and it was very challenging. They were also out of several items on the menu, which we didn't discover until we placed our order (would have been nice while we sat there to know what items were out so we didn't decide on those and then be told we couldn't have them because of supply issues. The drinks were not as good as in the Spring because there was no bartender, just the manager making drinks - not the same at all!
Until they get their staffing issues and supply issues under control, I won't be going back - which is too bad, because it is a great concept and the food is good.
Good was ok, drinks where great but the service was subpar. The older lady that basically ran the show Friday evening was really abrupt with her answers as if we told all the staff to quit. This was our first experience in this city and restaurant in the city, so with our much to compare it too locally I gave it a relatively high score… if compared to home in DC where customer service is everything then the score would’ve been lower.
Food, service and drinks were outstanding, we will return
They gave away our reservation to a larger group. Which we had to wait for 10 minutes to find out because there were no greeters or wait staff. Just one rude bartender who never bothered to apologize. Will never go again and will warn others to stay away.
The restaurant appeared way understaffed, which is unfortunate. The decor was very nice and drinks were good. The food was extremely bland. The burger we ordered was supposed to come with a picked green tomato and it just had a regular tomato. The crab cake sandwich was very disappointing. I tasted no crab, just breadcrumbs. The fries were definitely frozen grocery store fries. I hope they are able to staff the restaurant appropriately since it’s a good location and atmosphere.
Cool spot. Good drinks and atmosphere. Food was excellent.
Food was very good. Service was great. People were very friendly.
Very nice people, but unfortunately they did not have the staff to accommodate guests.
Terrible! Service was awful. Food was nothing special. Definitely won’t be going again.
Strong Waters is amazing! Tried the sea bass at the server’s suggestion and it was truly the best I’ve had anywhere. My husband had the beef tenderloin and it could be cut with a fork. Highly recommend!
Food was so delicious! Ambiance and live singer was so great! Will definitely be coming back and recommending this restaurant.
Damien was absolutely amazing and made our night!!! You’ve got a good one! Cocktails were delicious!
Our favorite restaurant during our vacation! Such an interesting interior.
The menu is small but you're sure to find something you love, and everything we had was absolutely amazing. The wagyu sliders, the charcuterie board, turkey club sandwich, ribeye steak, and fish tacos. Loved the charred Caesar salad. Ribeye was so tender and flavorful! Better than some steakhouses.
The drinks offered are varied and unique. Great selection of beers on tap. All very good that we had.
Crème Brule and bread pudding decadent and a perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Highly recommended.
Reservations can be made with Open Table. They open at 4:00 and are closed on Sundays.
We were on vacation. This was our 2nd time to the restaurant that week and we were there 2yrs ago as well. My husband loves the Smokin Oldie! Great atmosphere, drinks and food!!
Bartender made the place!!
The bartender was our server. The place was pretty much empty. The sliders were very good. The wrong main entree was delivered. We split an entree and were not given an extra plate. We enjoyed the smoke infused cocktail and wanted one to split after dinner and when we asked the server to split it then his response was “I’m not your maid”. We found that very rude.
This place was amazing the food the service everything!!!
The food was good. However they are extremely understaffed. The menu needs to be presented a little more professionally than with a crumpled up piece of paper stapled to another. Surprisingly though the food was tasty and worth a repeat despite the suspect nature of the beginning.
Phenomenal! Damien was so nice and attentive. He made you feel like family once you sat down. I wouldn’t come super hungry as the entrees are smaller portions, but definitely one of the best meals here in Myrtle Beach. Save room for the desserts - YUM! Everything was SO good!
Service was excellent, staff was very friendly and accomodating.
Our waiter was the kindest and coolest man ever
Service was great!!
First time we visited the restaurant and had the best experience from time we got there til the time we left. Apps and entrees were excellent and portions were aplenty! Hidden gem for sure and will go back next year for sure!!
The place was more of a bar that served food. But the food was much better than usual bar food. Just the expectations was more of a restaurant and felt more like a bar. With the issues in the restaurant industry in SC, there was limited staff but they worked hard to keep things moving and we felt like they didn’t miss a beat.
It wasn’t particularly busy, but service was slow because there was only 1 waitress and waiter for the whole place. Food was good, but too bad there wasn’t more employees. We booked online and our server said they were overbooked due to online app.
Simple but good food menu! Hair of the Dog aka Bloody Mary was the best!
Food was great and enjoyed the cocktails
Great drinks and dinner. Damien was a great server/bartender. Sea bass risotto was amazing!
Great drinks, great food and the service by Michelle and Damien is fantastic!!!! Fun place!!!
Strong waters was excellent. The craft cocktails were delicious & loved the bartenders choice option to make things fun. Food was amazing, highly recommend the shrimp and crab dip. The entrees were yummy too. The live music was a nice touch. All around good vibes. Great for young adults or adults looking for a place with ambience and good food and drinks.
Great experience!! Family friendly and awesome music! We loved our meals too (I.e. scallops, tacos, burger, etc).
Damian was fantastic! The food was on point and the music was very good! It is a quiet loud in there but Damian more than made up for it. It will be a destination place on our next trip to MB!
Service was very slow. Good food and atmosphere.
