Always good! Great staff and bartender. Great quality food.
Friends for lunch
I've been to this location many times over the years and this was my worst experience. It was a very slow Monday evening and the staffing was sparse. Our waitress had too many jobs to do and completely forgot about us for over 45 minutes. The food was fine, but not anything special. I hope the management can take steps to make it better.
Host was amazing friendly and personable. Accepting of accommodations, half my party was an hour late. Staff was really friendly and attentive.
The staff can't handle a full restaurant. It took almost one and a half hours to get our entrees and the lasagna dish arrived cold in the center. The quality of the olive oil and balsamic vinegar was very low, the oil was flavorless and the balsamic was acrid. The flavors of the appetizers and entrees were good, but that couldn't make up for the rest of the experience.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate an anniversary. Making reservations was easy. Table was ready when we arrived. Host was welcoming. Waitress was professional, making sure we understood the menu and and specials. Food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Thank you, Strizzi's.
The reviews I read ripped on the service but highlighted the food. I thought the opposite was true. The service was good. But, the food was much lower quality than I expected from the reviews. The bruschetta was overly heavy on balsamic, killing the flavors of the tomatoes. The pasta was supposed to have a bolognese sauce but it was a cream sauce....which they called a bolognese. I don't like cream sauces! The chicken parm lacked flavor.
The food and service were great. My salmon was so moist and delicious! We had the strawberry shortcake, it was biscuits that were burnt with very few strawberries. They need to make a simple white cake with ample strawberries.
Service was awful. Waited 40 minutes for our food to come out. When we asked what the delay was we were told by our server Danielle that “they are busy, and we can go back in the kitchen to see for ourselves”
Very rude, made me want to walk out and leave. Seen our server later on greet her friends at the bar and did not come back to check on us once.
Complained to manager at the front desk, she said she would check on the status and let us know - she never came back.
Will not go back here ever again.
Very good service. Food was amazing.
Went to Strizzi's for Mother's Day Brunch and found the service excellent n every respect. The brunch offerings were good although wish they offered a French Toast and bacon or sausage and not just waffles. The food was good and the eggs cooked as ordered. While the food does not "wow" you it is good. We went at 11:30 am and the restaurant was busy but not packed but when we left the place was packed and people waiting outside. Always safer to make a reservation at Strizzi's Fremont even if ultimately not need.
Excellent as always! We were a party of 6 and had great service. We all ordered different meals and everyone was happy. My favorite is the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine!
Restaurant recommended by my hotel. Great location in Downtown Livermore, Very nice menu and food was very good. I dined about 4PM and caught in shift change and original server was busy setting up outside dining, service not as attentive as it should have been. That said, I’d go back.
Strizzi's has changed! The last 2 times we've been there, the service was not up to par. Two people acknowledged us, then walked past more than once while we waited and waited. We waited and waited for a server to show up, also. My order was WRONG (I ordered the brunch Bacon & Mushroom Scramble - hold the Swiss & add spinach. I didn't think it was THAT complicated, but, apparently, it WAS! I got scrambled eggs with mushrooms n spinach. To correct it, I got a side of bacon.) Meanwhile, my English muffin got colder and colder while a good 10 minutes went by between delivery of the muffin and the plate of eggs minus the bacon. All the while, a large group was so noisy the din was like the restaurant was packed (there were only a few tables occupied) and we could barely carry on a conversation. Disappointing when we were looking for a nice, relaxing Sunday brunch. To their credit, the food was fresh and tasty, but it did little to compensate. We've been long-time patrons at this restaurant, but this was probably our last time. Sad.
Service was terrible, restaurant was almost empty yet service was extremely slow, had to keep calling the waitress to come over, food was so-so, used to be excellent
The restaurant gives good value for casual dinning and is available on short notice.
We have eaten here before, the food is always very good but unfortunately the service was not that great this time. That was disappointing because it was our Anniversary. We will be back though and hopefully the service will be better.
New server had some troubles. It was a busy night with a number of large parties. Normally, I would rate higher. Manager was Stellar.
I have dined at Strizzi's in Pleasanton and Livermore, so I figured that Fremont would be a safe bet for a client that is in the area. We took them to lunch and it was a great choice. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. The food was delicious.
Had an OpenTable reservation for no reason. The booth we had asked for was being held for someone else so we were seated at the front door and enjoyed freezing wind each time the door opened and dining elbow-to-elbow with the party next to us. The waitress was sporadic and my entree arrived as something completely different than what I ordered - which I settled for since I didn't want to wait for another to be prepared. I was assured that the mistake was in the kitchen and not our server (who cares?). And then I was charged for the higher price entree that I didn't order. Really crappy New Year's Eve experience.
Food was delicious n our waitress was attentive and on top of it
We arrived early afternoon on a Sunday. The place was about half full. We had oven baked lasagna and a salad. Food was good, the server was friendly, the atmosphere was good. About the time we were finishing up (about 1:30pm) the place was getting busy.
Like the menu options especially the special offerings (food choices at reduced prices).
A favorite restaurant, excellent as always.
A definite "thumbs up" for Danielle, who was our server. She'll understand what this is about!
Good food. Early menu economical. ?.....................................................................
Horrible customer service by servers. Place was dirty and our bread had a log hair wrapped in it. Left before ordering.
Paella was outstanding.
The waitress, Rayanne (sp) was inattentive and unresponsive with a closed spirit. We are accustomed to quite good service in that restaurant.
Strizzis in Fremont has changed (not for the better). Our server was great (when we finally got one - many servers walked by us without a word). The person who greeted us seemed a little confused about what to do with an open table reservation. Manager didn't even engage with us about checking in when server spoke to him about the issue. Food was good, but sometimes it's not about the meal. We are long-time patrons; however, not sure we will return in the future.
Quant restaurant, good food, quick and easy, air conditioner was on made it a bit to cold.
Very nice lunch menu and great food. Nice booths and quiet. Good place to talk with friends.
Food was excellent as always. Service was great. The only bad thing about this visit was there was a large party of about 20 people, 10 of whom where young children. The adults allowed the children to run around a scream for a good portion of time we were there. At one point I even went and told the parent that his children were screaming really loudly. He said "yes they are". Another patron also went and said something to a parent of the group. I would have liked the restaurant manager to have handled the situation and not us patrons. But besides that issue, Strizzis is excellent.
I dont recommend Strizzes Fremont because the food was not that great and the service was so so. They dont have much variety in their menu with the pricing that they have. My kids didnot like it either. Kids menu also dosnt have much varieties. If you are charging $20 for a pasta dish then give that high quality food. we felt its just waste of time and money. Service was not that great either. we went on friday night and restaurant was not busy at all. Yet it took 20 mins just to get some water on the table. Overall not a great experience. will not comeback.
Service was amazing! I had the Cajun Chicken Risotto. It was delicious. I highly recommend it.
Greeting upon arrival was congenial and seating was satisfactory. Service was a little slow, but friendly. Food was excellent, except two different salads were delivered to the wrong people and this was not noted immediately. One party kept and enjoyed the wrong salad, and the other salad was replaced very shortly with the correct one. We were a party of five and requested by reservation a table in the bar that would accommodate our party. It was very noisy at first but after another group of 5 0r 6 cleared out it became tolerable. This does not reflect on Strizzi's, but rather on the inconsiderate customers. We come her often and the food, ambiance and service has always what brings us back.
Both the food and the service were very good. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a very good meal in a good environment.
Great food, the 3 in my party all enjoyed their dishes.
Strizzi's always hits the mark with consistently good food, great service and that old-world Italian restaurant in an updated, hip atmosphere. It keeps us returning for celebrations and for everyday meaLs.
