Fantastic food and service. Will be back.
The staff was exceptional and the our meal was by far the best we have had while on our vacation in Honolulu. Wish this restaurant was in Orange County.
Service was excellent. But we did have an early dinner so no one except for guests at the happy hour bar were there.
Food was very good! Had the $75 ohana pre fixed menu. You get a lot of bang for your buck ordering this menu. 4 appetizers, a 16 oz ribeye for 2 and 3 sides! Wow! Too much food!
It runs a bit pricey but the food is good!
Ohana $75/person - poor apportionments. $9/ bottle of water.
Very poor cut of steak, definitely choice or select, should be Prime. Course served with French fries and tater tots ....LOL
This is a pretentious wanna be a four star restaurant.
I was hesitant when I saw so many openings on Open Table.
Don’t bother, go to Wolfgang’s.....
Foods are great
Service is good
We finally had an opportunity to use a birthday gift card for Stripsteak and the experience exceeded expectations. Friends had endorsed this restaurant, and it was well deserved. Service was excellent, not only was our server knowledgeable the food, he also clearly enjoyed his job. Also excellent attentiveness from the busboy, our glasses were always filled and extra dishes were removed immediately. The food runner who plated my extra special lobster pot pie at table side took extra care with his presentation and even asked for a replacement claw he noticed was missing ( I would not have noticed). My husband is very interested in the dry aged steak and is extremely particular about his meat, generally preferring to make it exactly how he wants it himself ( only Hys has otherwise met his standards, sorry Morton’s and Ruth Chris). He had the dry aged strip, which said was quite good. This is high praise from him since he is a rib eye fan and thought that the strip would be dry, even with the aging process. He also was a huge fan of the instant bacon appetizer. The best part of the meal for me were the three varieties if French fries served in plate of bread: furikake, traditional and truffle oil fries fried in duck fat.
We noticed the bar was very busy, happy hour is a popular thing at this venue. They were featuring several rum based house specialty beverages. They also had a keiki menu. Perhaps we will bring our daughter next time, there were other kids eating there that night. For an eater with vegetarian tendencies, going to Stripsteak was clearly celebrating something for my joyously carnivorous husband. I still managed to find great joy in the fries and the chocolate lava cake dessert that completed our meal.
We both had a memorable experience for our 43rd anniversary.
The waitress was very attentive as well as those who assisted her a little pricey for me but it was a special occasion
Slightly disappointed. Steak was good , but not great. Tomahawk cooked perfectly, but lacked flavor. Great cocktails, but did not help the steak. There are other places in Honolulu and I probably belong over there for a steak dinner.
Expensive sure, but the food and the service was worth the price. Ordered a whisky neat, and our server asked if we had ever tried putting a drop on our oysters we were eating. We hadn’t, so she brought us a straw. It was surprisingly good! This is just an example of how the server engages with the guests here as opposed to some places where they seem to simply tolerate you. Awesome experience overall.
Food quality has sure begun to diminish. Lots of butter, salt, and brown sugar will make anything "servable"...
Visiting Honolulu and celebrated birthday at dinner here. Enjoyed the scallops and fish appetizers but not the non-fresh lobster tacos.
An Amazing Restaurant, With Amazing Food, and Amazing Service. I Cant Say Enough About This Place. I Had My Birthday Dinner Here, And I Enjoyed Every Second Of It. A little On The Expensive Side, But Not Too Much. Well Worth The Money. I Definitely Reccomend This Restaurant. Its A Must Stop!!
We so enjoy our dining experiences here and keep coming back again and again. The staff is terrific and the food is to 'live for'...especially the appetizers we so love as well as their chicken
dishes (we not big fans of their dry-ages beef offerings).....desserts are wonderful as well.
I was a little skeptical at first because of the ala cart prices, but after the evening was over, it was well worth. High praises from my wife as well. The service is like no other. I big mahalo to all of the hard-working cooks, servers, bartenders and captains. Hats off to both Corey and KJ for outstanding service throughout the night. Everyone was attentive to each of are small needs even before we asked. We will definitely dine here in the future.
The food and drinks were terrific our steak was cook to perfection. Most steak houses can’t cook a steak to a perfect medium rare but StripSteak did. The wait staff was spot on with their recommendations and they made sure we were happy with our food, drinks and accommodations. Thanks for a terrific evening StripSteak.
The entrees were good but the sides not anything special.
Problem with light reflecting from outside mirrored buildings into the dining area. Had to move space.
Great time as always.
Anniversary of marriage
Large groups with our server really affected level of service for our group of 5
Food was delicious and the service was very good too. The best part of this dining experience was the ambience, the live music was phenomenal. I didn’t think the value was there though, little too pricey. Portions are way too small for what you pay for. Also, the server forgot to bring our leftover steak and when we went back for it 30 min later, they no longer had it.
My wife took me for my birthday everything was great! Ribeye was excellent and wedge salad was one of the best I’ve had. Everything was very well done and great setting for a special occasion.
The duck fat fries were incredibly good, I have had them before at other establishments, but these were definitely my favorite. I had the lobster pot pie which was delicious. The brandy cream sauce was very good and the pastry for the pot pie was excellent, flaky and buttery.
Went to Strip Steak for my Birthday. I did the same last year and really enjoyed it. This year my Ribeye Steak had significant gristle. For a $70 steak I expect the gristle to be trimmed. The steak was cooked very well, not quite a perfect medium rare but close.
We had the Instant Bacon appetizer which was extremely good. I am glad our server recommended that, it saved the experience for my birthday since it was a pretty special dish.
We also had the cold seafood platter, it was pretty good, nothing amazing but nothing to complain about.
They didn't give any perks for Birthday Dinner. I wasn't expecting anything but I mention it so readers know they don't give you any special treatment if you tell them your are celebrating an occasion so don't bother telling them or better yet take your special occasion dinners somewhere that does and save strip steak for normal dinners out.
We were at a steak restaurant and must say that we were disappointed in the quality of the steak! My husbands rib eye was not 16 ounces and both my filet and his ribeye were over cooked. We were expecting a fine steakhouse experience, but felt more like a tourist spot. We told the waiter about the wrong temp on the steaks and he apologized and sent a pineapple boat dessert, which was very nice of him, but I don’t think we will return. 🙁
Love the location, food and most of all the service. Meagan out service both times @ the restaurant was amazing and that is worth it’s weight in Gold.
Whilst the food and service were good this is a hellishly expensive eatery and I could not possibly recommend it on the basis of value for money. Four of us fined with only one starter, three had no alcohol whatsoever and no one had dessert. Notwithstanding the cost was in excess of $400. That is simply crazy. We have eaten at numerous restaurants around the world and this is right up there in terms of cost minus the lavish surroundings. I am afraid we will never again darken the doors of Stripsteak.
Always a good meal. Quality food that you expect to pay for but will not be disappointed.
Wonder service from entire staff. couldn’t go wrong with any choices off the Menu.
They are the nicest people‼️Richard And Allison were incredible‼️The food was the best!
High marks for location and ambiance but would have liked to see more on the menu at affordable prices. What we ate was good but not up to the prices being charged
Tasting menu was excellent. Included variety of food type that satisfied all of my friends. Gave us more time to enjoy each other’s conversation since menu was already set. We will definitely return to Strip Steak in the near future. Wait staff were excellent.
We came for Restaurant Week - it makes it affordable for locals to try these amazing restaurants. The menu was fabulous. Steak. fries and ahi crudo were amazing.
Great service! We had multiple service staff and they were all attentive and informative. Never felt rushed, even as the restaurant filled to capacity. Food was tasty and filling
