The service, the taste and the atmosphere were all gooddd!!!!
Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Food is excellent and consistent every time we go. I just feel that the it's a bit overpriced.
We went to celebrate my 30th birthday and everything was spectacular! We had Landon as our server and he was great! Super attentive and friendly. The entire staff was on point with the service and the food exceeded our expectations! Definitely would recommend to family and friends as a nice place out to celebrate!
2nd time at StripSteak & was just as excellent as the 1st time. Great staff & service. A must when visiting Waikiki.
We enjoyed my husband birthday party.
We could eat fantastic steaks!
We usually try to avoid crowds in the Waikiki area, but Stripsteak was recommended by a family member. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and service, the staff was friendly but not overly intrusive, adding to a very nice feel of laid-back ambiance. We're already talking about returning for another occasion, thanks for a very nice time!
The “whole fish” on the menu was NOT a whole fish. It was a filet that was the size for one person. Salad was swimming in dressing.
Service was mediocre. Overrated and overpriced.
Celebrating our 43rd anniversary before leaving the islands, our local friends suggested this restaurant as a great choice. Let me change that to GREAT choice. My wife and I split a Caesar salad AND the Lobster Pot Pie (fabulous) and a tasty tender filet mignon. Superb food served by Cory our waiter and a wonderfully friendly attentive supporting cast. Let me add that their bar has a great selection of bourbon and rye whiskeys including some pretty rare restaurant 8-10 yr bourbons so our meal got off with a great start. We were given a delicious dessert with Happy Anniversary inscribed with our cappuccinos to complete a perfect evening. Oh yes, the spicy fried rice with pork belly is incredible. Toasted sesame and chili oils were pronounced flavors. Spicy!!! And a nice compliment with the sauce from the pot pie. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful Birthday dinner celebration. The service, staff, and food -Excellent! This was our first visit to StripSteak, and it definitely won’t be our last. Big Mahalo to Shannon and Buddy.
The Washugyu beef is outrageously good!! If you are at the bar Buddy is the top bartender.
My fiancé and I went for our first time to celebrate our anniversary. We heard good things about it so wanted to try it out. Food was excellent as expected, but what really made this experience was our service. Host stand was friendly. Our server Lizzie was awesome! The sommelier made an excellent recommendation and was personable. I would definitely go back.
Great service! Great food!
An absolute must. Everything we ate was delicious. We ordered the Ohana Menu so we got to try a little of everything. All the appetizers were so good! Steak was done perfectly and very tasty. Service is good too. Just needed to ask for water refills a few times. If I had to find one bad (and it wasn't even that bad) thing to say, it was probably when one of the waiters or helpers came and said he wanted to clear our table to get ready for the steak to come out. We still had appetizers on the plates and in the middle of eating. So as he starts to grab the dishes, my husband had to quickly grab whatever was left and place it on his plate. The waiter had already taken away my plate so I guess he decided for me that I was done.
But we get it, they had to bring out the steak so it wouldn't get cold or overcook.
Overall, we really enjoyed our first time there and will definitely be returning.
Hosta were very nice and got a great table since it my a Birthday dinner. Rough start though, ordered a martini with Blue Cheese olives and it took maybe 15 to 20 minutes to arrive. Waiter updated us and comped it, but for this kind of money that should not happen. Also someone tried to take our dinner order before the drinks arrived. Food was excellent and service was excellent once past the drink sanfu. The fries are pure decadence.
Celebrated a birthday and everything was excellent!
good service by bartenders.
good food. fish were fresh.
Great evening for birthday! Waiter was exceptional... We split the wedge salad, followed with Wagu beef then split the entree! Location is great, music playing, all in all very well done!
We tried a wide variety of foods and everything was outstanding. They take great pride in everything they do. The wait staff were professional and attentive. Fantastic experience
Perfect! Thank you for the great food and your service!
I visited at 19:00. The ambient was nice. I forgot I was in International Market Place. Quiet and comfortable. A little bit pricey, but it worth it.
We truly enjoyed our anniversary date! Great drinks. My husband’s steak was perfect! My mahi was ok. Overall it was great. A little pricey but good for a special occasion.
Fabulous food and amazing service!
Great service and happy hour specials
It was super !!!
We want to have your wonderful StripState again when we visit Waikiki!!
Amazing food and service! Everything was truly perfect.
Disappointing. Complementary French Fries (in lieu of bread) was creative but fries were salty and greasy. Not what I would expect in a fine dining experience. Service was average at best and filet mignon (although cooked to perfection) was also salty and stringy. Banana pie dessert was also creative but difficult to eat as parfait.
It was so good. Seafood was excellent
I came for the beef tartare with the quail egg! I ordered the oysters and David, made me a whiskey cocktail that was out of this world. The beef tartare was prestented then mixed tableside. It included cornichons and was amazing!! My girlfriend and I will be back Friday for a redo!! I can't wait!
Had the tomahawk steak. It is massive. Ordered too many sides. The server warned us we were over ordering. Great way to celebrate a birthday. Went across the street to Blue Nate.
This restaurant is a little difficult to find, being on the third floor of the building. Also note that the restaurant is very open and most seating is outdoors. We were seating next to a family with several children that were allowed to run obnoxiously through the restaurant. This is more bad parenting and not considered in the overall review, but I would have expected the manager to have said something to them.
Service was good but I could never figure out who our server was. About three severs were constantly coming to our table. Our drink order was entered incorrectly and it took them quite some time to correct it. Again I had to notify two different servers.
The biggest disappointment was the food. We ordered two dry aged KC strips, one medium rare the other well done. Neither steak was prepared correctly. The medium rare was over cooked to medium well state (some pink) and the well done was undercooked (still containing pink). I sent my steak back to be recooked which took about 10 minutes. This allowed the sides we had ordered to become cold. The steak the returned with was cooked to a rare state and was extremely tough. While I would probably disregard this at some restaurants, this restaurant charges $76, so I feel at this price point you should get a steak that is properly prepared. I was also surprised they did not offer to comp some of the price for their mistakes, though I did not ask and I paid the bill in full (and tipped because the waiters should not be punished for a bad chef).
Overall I believe this restaurant is overpriced for quality of food and service could be improved.
