Food was great! Appetizers pan seared scallops and instant bacon awesome. Had filet mignon and 16oz ribeye amazing. The sauce on plate is delicious. Service sucked, no other way to put it. This is why I hate restaurants with automatic 18% , waiter does not have to work for their tip. Tip is a service provided not guaranteed. If you would of given me service trust me I would of tipped you 20-25%!! You barely deserved 10%!
Expensive bottle of red wine was served ice cold. When we complained and said we didn’t want to drink cold red wine the guy still opened the bottle and put it on the table and said they keep their wine fridge at 55 degrees. Well that’s fine to preserve the wine, but when you serve red wine it has to be taken out of the fridge prior to serving and at room temperature! Our appetizers came out and right after our plates were cleared our dinner came. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. We’re not spending $500+ on a dinner to be rushed out in an hour. Both my steak and my sister’s was over cooked - we asked for rare they were both easily well done. My Dad’s steak and the sides were left on the table until I️ told them to take everything away, that we want to eat together?! They tried compensating by bringing complimentary sauces and desert but I’m sorry the night was already ruined. I️ would recommend going to another steakhouse. I’ve been to the Striphouse in NY many times so I️ thought this one would be great as well but the service, food and lack of respect at the Fountainbleu location is terrible. Avoid.
Overall was a good experience. More expensive than comparable restaurants. Only negative was after going back and forth and after encouragement from my waitress, I decided to order the Wagyu Ribcap. A few moments later, she came back and told me they had sold out of it. Was disappointed but enjoyed my second choice of boneless ribeye even though it was medium rare and I ordered medium.
I tried the Miami spice menu. I had flank steak which was a very generous portion that I could not consume in one seating. I was staying hotel so leftovers was out. The steak was prepared as I requested. I did not want French fries for a supposedly upscale meal. No baked potato or veggie substitute allowed. The restaurant was quiet but it was a Monday night. There is a nice bar with a tv turned on for sports. So, it maybe wants to be a sports bar instead of an upscale restaurant. The bar was quiet.
This establishment is “ok”. The reason for why “ok” is the food quality and service level is of a decent standard but what let’s the place down is the disproportionate pricing. I’m sorry but it’s frankly unacceptable to pay 20-30 % over the odds. Nothing in this place merits that premium. Thank goodness the Hawksmoor exists.
We went for a friends birthday and had an amazing time! I am vegan and my server went above and beyond to accommodate me. The chef made me my own personal three course meal and it was so amazing and thoughtful of them. I really appreciate when you go out to eat and get amazing service.
I booked a reservation with 2 month of advance for a birthday. I was traveling from Panama to Miami for a trip and decide to have a birthday dinner with the family. It was 9:20PM and it was crowd and noisy. Have our dinner, it was late, so some of the food was short, so we have to get another courses. For the surprise, Elodie and the staff was so nice that help us thru other food to try. At the end we were sooo full of all the great food and we do not asked for any desserts than a latte and americano, Elodie bring us a happy birthday dessert, it was chocolate truffle balls with cheesecake inside.
Lovely Fontainebleau Hotel restaurant. Very chic interior décor. Service was excellent from start to finish. My husband and I went for our monthly date night. We each had items off the special Miami Spice menu including a very refreshing Heirloom tomato salad with watermelon and goat cheese, super creamy roasted corn soup with fava bean and smoked bacon lardon, tender churrasco steak with crispy potato and chimichurri sauce and a silky smooth yet crunchy milk chocolate mousse bar. We also added a side of creamed spinach that was so creamy and good. Everything was absolutely amazing and the portions are large. I will definitely be back.
