   There are some beautiful hunks of meat passing by, and I know many people have wonderful experiences here. . . however, I ordered a grilled romaine salad with oxtail and a "62 degree egg" which I should've asked more about. The meat was tender, salty, gloppy. The romaine was hard to find under it all, and the egg's white was liquid, which I find upsetting. Perhaps it should have been so for this particular dish but I've never had a soft-billed egg in a salad or soup that was, itself, soup. I asked for it to be cooked a bit more. It came back exactly the same. I was asked how everything was. I explained why it was not lovely. I was told that this was how the egg was cooked and it would take too long to change the cooking method to accommodate my tastes. My dining partner blamed me for not asking more specific questions about the egg's final state. . . . I feel like Strip-T's might have handled it all better. One, eggs in salads with grilled and stewed foods are probably not best served as liquids; two, if a customer says it's making her unhappy, suggest she should change her order. Don't re-do it exactly as she asks not to do it, and then tell her it was how that she should be happy because that's how it was done. For the record, though I adore soft yolks. . .even almost liquid yolks. . .but liquid whites means I should be whipping this thing up in a blender and calling myself Rocky. And staff response. . . not what could be desired.
