Food - Me and my girlfriend ordered a half raw bar to start, a tomahawk steak, and a side of black truffle cream spinach. It was by far the best meal I’ve ever had. The oysters and clams were so fresh and not fishy in the slightest. The tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection (rare with a black outside for us) and was sided with a roasted head of garlic. I ate a half of a clove with every piece I cut :). It was the most enjoyable steak I’ve ever had. I can’t forget about the black truffle cream spinach either. Great side with great flavor. I’ll be back for sure

Drinks - I’m no wine expert (I can tell the good stuff from the bad stuff) but we got a $50 bottle of Pinot Gris and it was REALLY good. Otherwise the drink menu has just about every option of every liquor and insane amounts of wine.

Atmosphere - The atmosphere kind of undersells the place. It was more of a fancy/divey bar (but I guess that explains “speakeasy”). That doesn’t bother me though. I enjoy good food and a good time.

Service - I felt like a movie star...

Price - a little pricey but it’s expected so u can’t complain

Overall - Me and my girlfriend had an amazing 5 year anniversary and an amazing experience at Strip House. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Love this place and wish I could give them 5 stars but honestly the ribeye was just not the best. It was food for sure but a little chewy as though it had been precooked and reheated when served. I know steak very well and that’s just how the texture felt to me. Service cocktails and sides were excellent.

Great intimate place in the Union Square area. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was very attentive. Since it’s a steak house we order steaks that were on point and did not disappoint, sides were also very well done and more than enough food for just the 2 of us... I’ll definitely be back. I’ve had dinner before at the main restaurant and the speakeasy was just as enjoyable.

We went here to celebrate my husband and the food was simply underwhelming. the appetizer with brussel spouts and egg was actually gross and the steak was not worth the price. I would not go here again or recommend it.

Dinner was beyond our expectations. What an intimate space. A perfect hidden gem in Manhattan. Make sure to get their Ribeye. The charred crust seals in all the flavor. Best steak I have had in a while and the service was top notch. Can’t wait to come back for more!

I thought the food was excellent and the waitress that waited on my boyfriend and I was wonderful. I went for restaurant week with my boyfriend and the speakeasy vibe was unbelievable, the bartender was so kind, it would have been an overall 100% amazing experience. For a little background, I am 23 years old and actually know a good bit about wine for my age, so I opened the masssiivvee wine list and I heard two employees (not my waitress) talking about me. I heard the woman say "She looks like she has no idea what she's doing" and the man replied something along the lines of "Yeah thats bad, they are definitely here because of the restaurant week menu, you better go help her" then the woman came up to me and told me I should get the restaurant week wine. IT WAS A GREAT DEAL and I knew the bottle so I was happy to accept, however, their judgements made me feel uncomfortable the rest of the dinner and on top of that, I then felt out of place and awkward ordering the restaurant week dinner. It's such a shame because the night would have been perfect otherwise. I will still recommend this to anyone and the two who were talking about us were extremely friendly to our faces...

rest week so got a deal... it was very loud and packed. servers bumped into us every few minutes. food rushed out of the kitchen to turn over for new customers. 3 course dinner in 60 mins... bell boys lost my suitcase and claimed it was never checked. i had to do digging myself to find it. paid a hefty amount anyways. avoid at all costs!

Came for my husbands birthday dinner during restaurant week. $42 for 3 course meal (dinner), but supplemental $10 for steak option which we selected amd $8 supplemental for their famous chocolate cake (also opted for). The food was fabulous. At first we were nervous the restaurant week steak portion would be too small for my husband as he has a big appetite, but after the delicious onion soup with grilled cheese and the bread served to the table it was definately enough! We left stuffed and took home most of the cake for later. Service was good, staff was friendly but the only downside was they forgot the candle in the cake. Atmosphere is dark, but normal for a speakeasy. Expensive restaurant but well priced for the quality! Restaurant week was a good deal for a special occasion. Will return.

We went for a special night with my best friend and her boyfriend. The waiter was honestly terrifying. We had to ask him about the specials, whereas normal interactions would let you know that first thing when you order. When he was going over the order, he was going into deep detail about the bacon and my friend doesn't eat that, so we politely noted that he didn't need to completely go into it. I said that she was Jewish and didn't eat bacon, he then insisted that he was Jewish because he was Christian. It an interesting choice of words. He then let us know it wasn't restaurant week on Saturdays--totally fine. We then proceeded to order. He took my order and my friend's order (a woman). He completely ignored my boyfriend's order and walked away as he was talking. My boyfriend had to go get him from the back of the restaurant to let him know that he walked away and there was no way he got the order, because he was still talking as he walked away. We felt very confused. The food was good--creamed spinach was delish. We got the Ahi Tuna, and a random sauce on the side. It would have been nice for our waiter to do his job of explaining that the sauce was for the ahi tuna since it was served in a small syrup dispenser.
Overall the food was good, but the service was horrendous. This waiter was so odd and made us feel uncomfortable overall.

Our meal was fantastic and the service was wonderful! I am a critic of restaurant service, but the hostess was, hands down, one of the best parts of the meal! She did not forget about us during a seating delay and she was sincere, genuine and truly helpful. The food was great (short rib tagliatelle 😍) and the experience was perfect for a Friday night date!

The Striphouse Speakeasy has an intimate feel and is a very cool place. It is is step back in time. The steaks - especially the special bone in filet was incredible. All the food and the service were excellent. You will not be disappointed at the Striphouse.

took my boyfriend here for his 40th birthday. Service was ok, we had to ask for bread and butter. Seating was a bit tight and the AC vent was blowing right above us so it got cold for us and our food pretty quick. We did not get dessert but sometimes when you mention it is someones birthday the restaurant will send something small with a candle but they did not do that for us, oh well.
