Great food, drinks, ambiance, and service! We all felt that the quality and the experience was well worth the value! Amanda was our server and she was simply great! Anthony was our expert mixologist who clearly proved to be well deserving of the title “Expert”!
It was nice, the ambiance was sexy
Great food we went for restaurant week and got the steak and gnochii. It was delicious!
Really great service an atmosphere.
10/10 would recommend!
Some of the most amazing steak in the city, highly recommend
a fight broke out while we were having dinner. glassware was being thrown into the sky.
Strip House is our go to steakhouse date night spot - amazing high quality food, excellent service, fun sexy environment with good music. The steaks come with a roasted head of garlic and sprig of rosemary. You. May skip out on the twice baked potatoes and creamed spinach.
Pricey, but fun. We love to come here for the food and the decor (old time photos of strippers and celebrities). And the specialty truffle bleu cheese martini is a 10 star delight!
The food was amazing although the service left quite a bit to be desired. Got there on time for our reservation right at opening and it still took 15min+ to seat us. It was another hour and a half or so to get all of our food which didn't make much sense given we were literally the only people in the restaurant most of the time. Also not great that we were sat right next to the restrooms when every other table was empty.
Finally, disappointed with the sommelier, they had an incredibly extensive (and expensive) wine list, of course they they were out of the bottle we wanted and offered us something similar at $4 more... you really couldn't just give us the $99 wine for $95? Again though, it was a really fabulous wine, they just lack any understanding of what service should be when people are spending $200+ for dinner.
Not my first time in this amazing place but unfortunately pretty bad experience …our porterhouse was over cocked, the bar was empty and the atmosphere wasn’t what I’m used from this place …disappointing
Phenomenal food, terrible service.
Nice friendly vibe. Good good. Friendly wait staff. Music was a bit off brand of trying to be a speakeasy.
The food was delicious and perfectly portioned. Great value for a steakhouse experience
the idea of a more accessible and less formal version of Strip House is a compelling one. Sadly the quality of the food simply isn't good - a baked potato that had obviously been sitting too long and/or reheated, a plate of rock-hard brussel sprouts and a very lackluster caesar salad. The decor feels dated and at these prices its just not going to merit another visit.
Great steaks and luxurious appetizers. And don't miss the truffle bleu cheese dirty martini. YUM!
Drinks and ambiance are awesome. Definitely a speakeasy type of environment. Just passed by for drinks but ordered a buratta and was amazing.
Amazing dinner and service! Would definitely repeat.
Unfortunately I had such a bad experience at this restaurant. For starters there was no social distancing, I was not sitting six feet away from other people in the restaurant. My reservation was for 4 @ 7:30pm. We got there a little before 7:30pm and ordered our food around 7:40-7:45pm. Everything was going good until people who got there 30 minutes to an hour after us got their food before us. Everyone in the restaurant was Caucasian and we were the only African Americans in that restaurant aside from another African American male who was there but was with his Caucasian counterpart, even they came about an hour after us and received their food before us. There was another couple who came after us who sat next to us who got their food, dessert and left before us. We didn’t receive our food until around 9:20pm. This was ridiculous and we all felt racially discriminated against in this restaurant. It wasn’t until one of had something and started making it loud and clear that we were unhappy with the fact that everyone was getting their food before us. I would not recommend coming here. My experience here was not good at all and the food wasn’t all that either. We were very patient waiting for our food and it wasn’t like we ordered a lot either. We had two orders of salmon with bake potatoes on the side and two orders of steak both done medium with a side of mac and cheese and fries. You can tell our food was made last and I was very disappointed with our experience.
The food was really good but the steak was a burnt. Was cooked well in the meeting but burnt on outside. Overall great experience.
Great food, server was phenomenal! It was a quiet, romantic dinner for my husband and I.
From the moment we went down the stairs to our almost private dining room in the Speakeasy we were greeted with professional, caring staff members, and the evening couldn’t have been better. The food was cooked to perfection especially the 12oz Filet, it was like butter and the Salmon was just as mouthwatering 💙 We loved the vibe, the playlist and our server❤️ It was our 1st time there and will not be our last🍾🥂
Alex was fabulous- service, knowledge of menu and recommendations re: wine, great atmosphere and felt safe with COVID without taking away from the ambience.
I love this steakhouse and it’s probably my favorite steakhouse in NYC. Always perfectly prepared steak, the sides are flavorful and generous. They have a fantastic wine list. The service is always top notch. You will not regret going here.
Had a great time! Came for thanksgiving!!
The staff were great. Service was amazing. Food was awesome.
Everything was perfect - amazing waitress, delicious food, as always. Obviously a bit more quiet than usual due to capacity reduction, but it made it feel very private and special.
Our waitress was fantastic- she knew I hadn’t eaten lunch and she got my appetizer out quickly. The food was delicious and this was the first place that cooked my son’s filet to the exact temp he wanted without having to butterfly it. It was the perfect temperature. He also tried and loved the duck confit potatoes. Just sad I was too full to order that multi layer chocolate cake.
Strip House has always a favorite of mine. Never fails to be amazing.
One of the best restaurants in NYC. Never had a bad meal or service there. Thankful Covid did not hurt them
I have already answered this survey. Please stop flooding me with more requests to do so. Thank you
We received a char with butter and bread. The char was half empty, clearly used by another guest before served to us. When I called the waitress over, she said: That's interesting and took it away. No apology or something. Are you kidding me? That's really unacceptable on every level. Will never set s food in that restaurant! Very concerning how they handle hygiene and customer service.
Although I love this place, last night it was not so special. Had my regular filet M that was cooked to perfection, but not as tender as usual. My girl had a cod special that was less than average. I know this isn’t a fish place, but something above normal house cooking would be expected. Will go back, and hopefully next time they will deliver as usual so I don’t need to find a new steakhouse in my neighborhood.
Took my 80 year old Mom for a Christmas present
Should be rated one of the top steakhouses in NYC.
Plain and simple it’s too expensive. The cheapest bottle of wine is $85.
The steaks are good not great. Whipped potatoes are excellent.
Too expensive for what it is.
I really liked the atmosphere and the winter sangria was amazing! I wish we would have tried the chocolate cake!
Phenomenal service coupled with carefully crafted cocktails and food that leaves you speechless.
Went there for restaurant week - limited choices especially if you don’t want to pay extra surcharge. Good cocktails but wine list is cost prohibitive. Cozy environment and nice bar. Great location in the village.
Cozy space, with knowledgable Staff, top-notch food and wine list.
I am a longtime regular customer at the strip house which is only a few blocks from my home and frequent both the speakeasy and the restaurant. i brought my daughter and a guest from London to an early dinner on a Wednesday night and had terrible service and a terrible steak.I’m not sure what to think about it but I was embarrassed and am seriously thinking of chopping this restaurant from my list.
There was a time when I thought Strip House provided a unique value relative to other steakhouses in Manhattan, however it seems that time has passed. Our meal was fine, the service was mediocre and the wine list was unapproachable.
