This was our first time at Strigo and we had a wonderful time. We had Sunday brunch, eggs Benedict and omelettes, and everything was superb. The wine fountain was fun.
Love the wine tasting and the food is always fabulous.
Another outstanding dinner last night at Strigo. Appetizers of olives and asparagus, delicious clam chowder (not the usual pasty broth) and the grilled steak board and seafood board. All were skillfully prepared but the unusual star of the night was the grilled vegetables with carrot purée. The wait staff was knowledgeable, we were chatting with out guests and never felt rushed. The wine selections get us out of our usual California comfort zones which is a good thing. Can’t wait to go back.
It was amazing! It was definitely a great choice to bring my friend there before prom. Both food and service were phenomenal, and everyone was so kind!
Excellent wine selection, love that you can make reservations so you can sit & enjoy your wine. It would be helpful if on your menu you could make a suggestion as to what wine would go good with your meal. Great experience overall!!
My husband and I had a lovely time. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly, the facility was beautiful, and the food delicious. We ended up finding two lovely bottles of wine that we loved. Will definitely come back next time we pass through Syracuse.
This place is very neat. The food was delicious. The wine station is unique and such a good concept. You get a card to put in the machine and it dispenses different sizes. If you like wine and trying new things this is a place to visit. We randomly came across it when looking for a new place to try for date night and we cannot recommend this place more!
Awesome evening out with my wife. A very different but wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.
First visit and will certainly return. Food was excellent and had a wide variety. Service was well done. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend
The food, wine, atmosphere was fantastic. I took my nephew there for syracuse graduation and HIGHLY recommended. It is a little out of the way, but only 30 minute ride from SU.
Very pleasant servers, food was amazing.
We had Brunch yesterday, party of five .The food and service were amazing. Highly recommend.
Nice ambiance, good food!
Great concept; excellent service. Unique wine bar that offers by the taste (1.5 oz) half glass (3 0z) or glass (6 oz). Can purchase by the bottle. The prices are on the high side, but comparable. Great selection with mostly Italian offerings.
Food is superb. Mostly small plates. We had a cheese board with the best blue cheese I have ever had and some terrific hummus. Highly recommended.
What a fun evening and place to spend time with friends. A great way to try different wines of all kinds with good food. Wonderful ambiance. Beautifully decorated inside and out. Can't believe that we are so lucky to have a place like this near Syracuse! The gracious owner, Joe, let us try his own wine not yet bottled and took us on a little tour to tell us about his operation. We are definitely going back for another visit and then to buy his wine (a syrah and zin blend). We HIGHLY recommend!
Great food and service and the wine vending machine is fabulous.
Food cold drinks expensive service sub par almost denied dessert as it was 2-3 min from closing time
Mothers Day Brunch was incredible. You never disappoint! The French toast was the best French toast I’ve ever had. Stephanie was great! Looking forward to coming back again very soon!
Such a fun and elegant way to enjoy new wines! The venue is lovely and the owners remembered we had been there before even though it had been a while. Will definitely be returning.
This was better than the first time we went there for date night. Menu was Awesome! Can't wait to go back.
A little birdy told us they will have Salsa music soon. Hope she makes it happen.
Only our 2nd time there, however both times were great. Large selection of wine's to choose from at the "help yourself" kiosks. The food is farm to table and always fresh. The building is an old barn re-done beautifully. Just an all around great place!!
Everything was fantastic. Really enjoyed the upstairs atmosphere for this visit. The owners are fantastic !!! They visited all the tables and introduced themselves. Food is top notch!!
A bit expensive for wine tasting. Cheese board is good.
Loved sampling different varietals- excellent Italian wine selection- we tried the roasted almonds, salad with parsnips and grapefruit and the steak/chicken board- everything was delicious
Amazing food and wine
Overall our group really loved this place tucked away in Plainville. I did give 4 out of 5 stars because of a couple things. The first being the prices. There were 4 in our group and we split the bill, with each couple having to pay over $100! I enjoy the concept of going up to choose your wine and pour size but it certainly adds up quick. The food was amazing but also very pricey. The second reason for 4 stars is the wine selection. There are many different bottles to choose from but the majority of them originated in Italy. I would have loved to see some more local wines as well as a German Riesling. I will definitely be back again soon :)
I think the wine tasting was a bit pricey for what I received.. 3 dollars per tasting is a bit much . When you go to other wineries, they offer 3 to 5 dollars to taste test at least 5 kinds of wines . My friend spent 5 dollars for a taste of wine and couldn’t even drink it because it was so bad . What a waste !
Food , service and ambiance was nice .
I know you are a new winery and only have been in existence for 6 months. Your wine tasting needs improvement to attract more customers in the future .
I asked the waitress what I could eat since I have Celiac and she gave me lots of good choices and some that we could substitute bread out for gluten-free crackers.
Beautiful building, interior and decor. Good selection of wines.
The food is excellent, and so are the wines. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. My boyfriend and I have visited twice and had a great experience both times. Highly recommend!
Would have liked a more generous glass of wine for the price but the moscato was the best I’ve ever had. Food and service very good. Eggs Benedict was delicious.
Unique wine experience in CNY with excellent food. We met the chef and got to hear about the food preparation. Local cheeses were excellent, too. All COVID safety precautions were followed. We will be returning soon and many times after.
2nd time and just as fabulous as the 1st. Best Eggs Benedict I have ever had and my husband had crepes with ham/eggs and he couldn't believe how good it was. This chef knows what he is doing!!
There is a nice variety of wines. It was fun to explore the wine wall and taste anything that looked interesting. The food was only ok. The meat board had beef that was very tough. Service was infrequent. I would go again for the wine experience.
My parents, my boyfriend and myself had a mid afternoon lunch at Strigo. The ambiance is 12/10. Quiet, clean, very modern and cozy. Food was amazing as well. Wine selection was vast and pleased all of us (I prefer dry reds, mom likes sweeter whites). Will definitely be back for a get together with hometown friends.
Beautiful atmosphere, interesting menu, slow pace.
Very good experience
Wine selections are great. Love the concept of the wine wall. Food was very good
Service was excellent. Very professional wait staff
Nice atmosphere. Something different for central NY
The menu contained seasonal options and a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The food was carefully prepared and tasty. The wine wall is unique and fun.
Strigo is absolutely amazing! From the wine selection to their menu, everything is awesome.
