Streets was amazing! Make sure y’all try the painkiller that’s my fave :)
The food was exceptional. You wouldn't think that they would be able to get the cuisine from so many different places so perfectly, but they really did. I had the Greek Octopus, the South African wings, the Chicharron, and the Korean Beef Taco. All of the meals felt like I was being transported to that location. The staff was very attentive, and attune to the scene. The music was perfect, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Love the changes!
This place never cease to amaze me!! I’ve been here quite a few times and every person that I’ve come with seems to enjoy it as much as I do. I make sure to try a different entree everytime i go, I will say I’m never disappointed.
I’ve been to Streets a few times. The ambiance can change some depending on the day of the week. It’s especially better in the summer with the outdoor seating. I do prefer the dishes from Summer 2017 however. The fried snapper and coconut rice was divine but my sister seemed to really enjoy the Korean bbq tacos from the Winter 2018 menu. Will return again!
Menu changes each and every-time i go, but this experience was ehhh so so.. this is usually my go to first date spot.
No doubles on the menu, and the churrasco that i asked for came back burned, i asked for med-rare.
The magic is gone, so is my interest.
At first my date & I were somewhat sceprical
Food was amazing! Everything we had was delicious! The service was fast and friendly too!
When we first visited the restaurant after it first opened a few years ago, the food was amazing. This last visit the food was a disappointment. The dessert selection was terrible as well.
I wanted to love this restaurant, however, there food was mediocre in taste and it was barely warm. The drinks and ambiance were the best part. I had to apologize to my group for selecting the restaurant. Hopefully, one day they’ll upgrade the food to what it should be.
Food was really good. Unfortunately our server was not! too many mistakes. She only had 2 tables and continued to make mistakes. the topper of the night is when she sat my friend's "take home" food on the floor. yes on the floor not the table but the floor. My gf took the bag and put it on the table. I have been there 4 times and this last time was not too good but the food was great! oh btw, what happened to the Singapore lobster? that was my shiznit!!!!
Awkwardly empty space, with bright lights. Service was good (as it should be when you’re the only ones in a restaurant) but food was just mediocre at best.
We came here for brunch. The restaurant is beautiful and very clean. Our waiter was EXCELLENT. The mimosas were EXCELLENT as well. I ordered the corn soup and it was also EXCELLENT. My only issue was with the chicken and waffles. The chicken was cooked absolutely perfect, but it lacked seasoning. The waffle fell apart and was just kind of weird. Not very tasty at all. The party seated right next to me ordered the chicken and waffles as well and I noticed they called the manager and had theirs sent back.
My boyfriends birthday, the food was great, and we had a wonderful dinner.
The food was great. My waiter was just okay but the bartenders were so amazing!!! I'd come back. I just wish it was a bit more lively and that the music was better.
I went to afternoon brunch with a small group of friends. Excellent atomosphere, service. The food delicious and the sorell mimosa was awesome. The staff was very attentive, and we even met the chef. Fairly priced. I would highly recommend Streets BK.
The food was great. Our server was not attentive, barely checked on us, and forgot half of our order. It was dimly lit, so we used our cell phones to see the menu. I would go back, but sit at thr bar in hopes of better, more prompt service.
I visited for my birthday last night with a girlfriend. So if you intend to drive expect to circle for parking in Williamsburg. It wasn’t a busy night. I read about reggae Thursday’s and was hoping for a live band as advertised but Road International was spinning some nice tunes.
The layout is nice- earth tones, rustic.
We both had the chicken and shrimp roti. It was ok. We got scraps of buss up shots which we had to ask for a replenishment. Although tasty, if/when I visit again, I may try something else. The roti was very deconstructed. It was cool I guess... but just not the typical.
I think improvements could be on the hospitality, more particularly the wait staff. Our waiter would vanish and would miss the hints of when he was needed. I personally asked the cook for extra buss up shots since he was off some where. It was getting late and we were tired.
I would visit here for apps and drinks again. I would probably sit at the bar because the regular dining experience was subpar. Again, the wait staff could use some work but appeared to only be one wait staff and a few bus staff who were quick and cordial.
In order for this place to stay up and running in a prime location like Williamsburg, it really needs to improve its service. Hospitality is a sensitive business that thrives off of, well, “hospitality.” It was a slow night and there was no reason that I should have to go talk to the kitchen myself. We waited for each request for 25/30 min.
There is potential. It’s a nice space in a great location- but the running of this establishment needs an overhaul.
Everything was great. It has a carribean vibe to it. The pain killer was amazing especially for a person like me that has a hard time finding a drink I like. The wait staff were part of the greatness. Great food, cool location and wonderful employee.
Great food, awesome service and fantastic DJ! Well worth the drive.
Amazing food! Don't let the "street food" theme fool you. This is cuisine!
I enjoyed the food, drinks and the service. Must go again soon!
Caribbean Cuisine-Tasty Food, well presented. I think overpriced, but a good experience none the less. It was not very busy and I assume staff members didn't have much to do so we would have someone at our table every 5 minutes. After the first few times it became disruptive. We dinned for about 1 hour 30 minutes (apps, entrée, desert, drinks). Staff was friend and knowledgeable of the menu. Will be back with other friends for sure.
We went here to celebrate our anniversary and when we arrived the hostess came over and sat us right away. Then we sat for about 10 min before I had to flag a waiter down for service. Mind you there weren't many people there at the time. He took our drink order and then someone else finally came who seemed much more upbeat and excited to have us as guests. He began with rattling down a list of things they didn't have... which was much of what we wanted so that was very disappointing especially coming from out of town. So anyway after figuring out what was left we settled on peri peri wings for an app and the oxtails and curry goat. Both had great flavor! The rice that came with the goat was amazing. We also had a very good rum punch. Strong but good. There was also a leak coming from the pipe above so my husband would get a drop of water on his head every once in a while. Seems like some kinks need to be worked out with the food supply and better service but overall ok and I would try it again in hopes that the menu items I want are in stock. The second waiter more than made up for the first, sorry I don't remember his name!
I’ve been wanting to visit this restaurant for over six month and I must say were very disappointed last night.
Half of the items on the menu were not available. My corn soup which was supposed come with dumplings, had no dumpling because the restaurant also ran out of dumplings.
The food overall was tasty and unusual.
The bar, which takes a great amount of space in the restaurant had no any kind of red wine, no rose wine, no Prosecco and only one kind of white wine (which I don’t drink).
I have never been in a restaurant that had half of its menu unavailable and had a full bar without any wine selection at all!
To add to disappointment, the wood dining table had a chip and it snugged my sweater top in 5 different places.
Not only I will never go there again, I will never recommend this places to anyone. Very poor management.
I enjoyed my experience at Streets. My date and I were met by a welcoming host. He gave us the option to sit inside or outside. We sat outside and I had a great view of the World Trade Center. This is a great for a date or brunch. I would definitely return. The Sorrel Mimosa was amazing. I would definitely return for dinner.
Quality of good didn't meet my expectations for the price.
I went with my family. We drove in from Manhattan and loved the food, ambiance, drinks, and staff. I thought the idea of Caribbean street foods was fascinating and well executed. My drink was slamming. Our 4 different dishes and two diverse apps were spot on. Deff going back more often.
Service was super slow which was surprising as there were not many people in the restaurant. The kitchen didn't have many items on the menu. What I was able to eat tasted really good. I would order and pickup from this restaurant but I can't say I'd ever visit again for an in dining experience.
This was my second time at Streets and I was there to celebrate my birthday. While the food is fantastic, the service is awful. The first time I visited was for brunch a year or 2 ago and the restaurant was empty and the service was bad. This time it was a weekend evening and it was busy and the service even worst. The waiters aren't attentive, the food took forever to come out, the host wasn't even around when we got there, they messed up the orders and the Manager was flat out rude. It put a damper on a fantastic celebration and as much as I want to love this place, I can't and don't recommend.
A group of us went there for brunch on Saturday. The server was very nice, but that's the only positive thing about this place.
That we're out of coffee & tea. ON SATURDAY BRUNCH TIME! And friends had to wait for their side order of poached eggs forever. It eventually came out when all of us were finished with the meal. Not to mention it was very poorly cooked poached eggs.
Then their excuse was that the kitchen guys never poached the side order of "two eggs any style ".
I won't be going back there again.
I enjoyed the food and the service. Everyone was pleasant and had manners. I would go again.
Bartender was amazing. The food was perfect and the presentation of the food was creative and cute.
We got there around 11p.m and surprisingly there was only 2 tables that had patrons... Needless to say it had a boring atmosphere.
It was freezing inside but otherwise everything was spectacular.
Food was good. Wasn't as "hoppin'" as I'd hoped (few people there for a Friday night0. But the mellow restaurant served good cocktails and a good meal. I had the whole roasted chicken and it was amazing with a side of the Turkish veggies.
Let's just start off by saying I am a fan of Chef Roble Ali. So when I heard about Streets - Bk I had high expectations about the restaurant and what it had to offer me.
I went to the Streets - BK on Saturday, July 8th around 6 PM with my family. We were greeted and seated as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. It was not crowded on this particular Saturday but, most people choose to sit outside.
I started off on my food journey with a Mezcal Libation only because, they were not able to make the Golden St or the Cranberry Ginger Mule due to lack of ingredients. I did enjoy the cocktail that I did receive it was pretty spicy but, I did enjoy the tang and flavor.
My family and I started off with the Soeul Spicy Octopus which was spicy and flavorful. The octopus was a little rubbery but, that is to be expected from this particular type of seafood. We also enjoyed the Fish Cakes which could have used a bit more spice but, it was tasty and beware it is a small plate so you are only given two fish cakes.
As for the entrees we ordered the Chicken and waffles with the infused maple syrup which we thought was great the chicken was really juicy, crispy and crunchy. The waffle was golden brown with crispy edges, buttery taste and moist. We also, ordered the Fried Whole Red Snapper which was seasoned really well and it was a very meaty fish. The last entree we ordered was Churrasco Y Papas which is appetizing although the skirt steak was warm when it came to the table, it was still nice and tender it could have used some more spice. The yucca fries that the steak came with were moist and buttery and crunchy.
I would definitely come back to try more items on the menu but, I hope they have the items available the next time I come in.
Good food, good drinks, lively ambiance and great customer service!
I went there for my fiancé birthday and we had a great time. Great music, atmosphere, drinks and especially the food. Everything was great we didn't want to leave. It was a nice grown and sexy vibe. We will definitely be going back
Three of us ate dinner outdoors around 6:30 pm on a Friday before heading to a nearby event; it was quiet, good for catching up with friends. We really enjoyed the octopus and shrimp appetizers, and the whole chicken. Great cocktails, too! Then when we walked by after 10 pm, the whole place was packed, and people were dancing--we'll definitely be back, maybe a little later next time. Great find!
Wasn't the best experience, although my first experience was what made me come back here to begin with (1st experience was GREAT!). To be fair, the manager did apologize for the not-so-great service and offer a 10% discount ($4.90). They were out of several of the items that we were trying to order, and the server didn't appear to be too knowledgeable about the menu. We were the last table to be seated, so again...i'm sure that had an impact on our food options, but still was kind of sub-par experience overall. The venue itself was so pretty, but after circling looking for parking for SO long, we were hoping to get some of the dishes that we were looking for. For the record, the Gai Yung is what brought me back to this place a 2nd time to begin with. But they were out of that too :(
