Adults and teens loved dinner. My husband loves the bucket of bones as always. Eggplant parmigiana delicious and the girls loved the spaghetti and meatballs! As always the service great. They made the Birthday celebration fabulous!!!
We were meeting a couple of out-of-town friends that we don’t get to see often, so we were in no hurry. We never felt rushed and our server. Kelly, took good care of drink requests and such quite cheerfully. At order time, he made several trips to visit with the chef concerning my husband’s very serious allergy to all things mammal, both meat and dairy. Our only disappointment was that they were out of the scallop dish, which two of us were planning to order. All in al an excellent experience. We
It was our first and probably last time to eat there.
Our party of four was very disappointed with our experience at Strano. We were surprised that the restaurant was so quiet on a Saturday night, and after the meal we understood why. The food was just OK and the prices were on the high side for what you get. We ordered the charcuterie platter for the table, which was $25 for both meat and cheese. I would not say there was $25 of food on it. It came with only 3 pieces of bread (again there were 4 of us). There was some sort of pork that was so incredibly salty that no one could take more than one bite, only 1 piece of prosciutto, and one of the cheese selections was some sort of crumbled cheese, maybe feta? We thought that was a weird selection, because you normally wouldn't eat a crumbled cheese with bread or meat. The other 2 cheeses and a type of dry salami were good though, as were the cocktails. For the main courses, we had chicken parm and the redfish, which were fine, but definitely not great, and a ravioli dish and the scallops. Ravioli was just ok, and my friend said the scallops were over salted. She only ate a few bites and didn't think it was worth it to even complain. Service was good, we were talking and catching up and the server never pressured us to order, which is always nice. However, when we go out and spend over $100 per couple for a nice meal, it should shine, and unfortunately Strano did not. We will not be back.
Dinner with an old friend from out of town. We had delicious sangria cocktails made by the bartender. Then an early dinner of Strano salads. Mine was with shrimp, my friend had chicken. Attentive service by our server Braden.
Everything was delicious!
We have been here several times for Sunday Brunch, and the food is always good. The service today was not up to the same level as prior visits and once our food was delivered, we didn’t see our server again until after we had finished our meal, or maybe 15 - 20 minutes.
Restaurant was almost empty. Not sure why. Food was great.
Our table was not ready when we got there and then it was 45 mins until we saw a waiter. When we arrived the hostess ask if we were a different party and then said “oh my”. The restaurant was not busy, especially for a Sunday brunch. The whole time we felt as though we were an inconvenience.
Our drinks took 45 minutes. Only half of our table had water poured when we sat down. The service was EXTREMELY slow. You could tell they were understaffed but no one explained it on the front end. We had to ask what was going since we saw so many tables complaining about their experience. The food was good but because it took so long I’d want to know the issues with service are resolved before i went back.. Our meal took two hours, way too long for a brunch....
Great food and service. Some came out more room temp than hot but still good.
THE STAFF AT STRANO IS WONDERFUL. I DID NOT MEET ANYONE ON STAFF THAT DID NOT LOVE THEIR JOB.
I had such high hopes for this place tonight but we were terribly disappointed. Waiter did not know how to answer our questions on the menu, only some of the food was hot and, the drinks we ordered when our meals arrived didn’t arrive until well after we had finished eating. This was our first visit and suppose it was our last.
We've eaten at Strano since they opened in Cooper-Young and now on Perkins. The dining experience has always been top-notch.
Brunch at Strano is everything brunch should be... amazing food and perfect service engulfed in a casual, unique atmosphere!
The servers were attentive, professional, upbeat and all around excellent. The pasta, shrimp, calamari and gelato were amazing! Thank you. We’ll be back.
It was our 1st time. The server really needs more training. Food was great, ambiance ok. We will go back to try the pizza.
Pasta was dry and bland had to send it back and it still wasn’t up to par . My beef tenderloin was a little over cooked and my potatoes were cold . To put it simple I wasn’t pleased and I won’t be going back
very nice place. good service. Food is just ok. Great salad and spinich puffs. The rest was just ok
Brunch was Great !
The Bottomless Mimosas will have you feeling great !
Srevice was great and would recommend this place to anyone who wants great service.
Not up to it's usual standards. Way too much balsamic in my overcooked pasta
Brunch menu has tons of options. Food was good but we were sat next to a table with unlimited mimosas, so they were a little loud.
Everything was amazing, from start to finish!!
Fantastic meatballs. Authentic and generous portions .
I have eaten at Strano at their newer location on Perkins twice. Once in December and once yesterday. The food is excellent, although they had to redo one of the dishes for us. Great wine list, but I am not sure the wine I ordered was actually an Albarino. I did not send it back though. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive, but for a fine dinning place, too attentive. We felt rushed and we really wanted to just relax and enjoy our dinner. That takes experience and training, but it provided an awkward dinner last night. I do not recall this being the case for our December dining experience. Food is good, work out the level of experience on the servers.
We were greeted by Chef Josh himself as we entered the restaurant! The waiter , Taylor, was awesome. The food delicious and the portions were HUGE! What a value- We will be back. Thanks, Suzy and Tom Harvey
Celebrating MEMPHIS Flyer burger week! Food and service were amazing!!
Excellent food with attentive service. Our party of nine got our appetizers, entrees, drinks and desserts in a timely manner with water glasses always filled. A wonderful place for a Sunday family dinner. Can't say enough about how great the food tasted and there was something for everyone on the menu!
First visit to the restaurant. Will return. Great service and food.
Terrible. Waiter was not good, slow, inefficient. He may have been new, however. No confidence.
Food was terrible. All 3 of us had different meals and all 3 were awful. We tried Strano’s once before and had a similar bad experience but we wanted to give it another chance.
We wii not be back.
I had planned to have lunch at Strano. I forgot it was Father’s Day and they were serving brunch. I ordered lox and bagel, but they were out of lox. So I had the veggie omelet. The eggs were barely scrambled and it was ok. I’ve had better bagels, but this is not a bagel shop. My 2 guests enjoyed their food! I will go back, I do want to try the lunch menu! In all fairness I’m not a big fan of breakfast.
I know it was Father’s Day and I expected a crowd but apparently the Restaurant was not expecting to be busy. The bar service was very slow; and the food service even slower. When the food did arrive it was not very warm. I expected much more Strano. In the past I have had very pleasant experiences here. This most recent visit was not one of them.
Limited menu, small portion with no sides except a la carte. Our server was NOT attentive at all, we had to flag him down to get water refills, to get our ticket, etc. Very loud in the restaurant and overall disappointing.
Father’s Day was so special because of being in this restaurant; our waiter, Taylor, did an excellent job. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced; the atmosphere is wonderful.
Went for Father’s day Brunch. It was average. It was by no means unacceptable, I was just hoping for wow and it was good. We Had the avocado toast, fried chicken biscuit, and sausage bacon bowl. We started with the homemade donut holes. Again, I wouldn’t say not to go. We enjoyed ourselves.
Absolutely the worst food I have had in a year. How hard is Chicken Parmigiana? Tough , over cooked. Caesar salad had no dressing.
Wine list was awful too.
Indifferent inattentive service and the place was 75% empty on a Saturday night!
Go to any other restaurant in Memphis
Lamb gnocchi was great, very filling, great flavor; lobster tots are a treat; nice wine selection
Waiter was very good. Attentive but not too munch.
Great food, friendly staff and will go back soon to try other dishes!
