A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal.

Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Black Cod Almondine and Blackened Swordfish Belly.

To drink, Strange Delight updates old classics, serving both a Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for 2, alongside Martinis and Sazeracs. Our wine and beer lists feature our favorite American producers.

We offer 3 distinct types of reservations:
Regular: a table in our back dining room
Bar: seats at our back dining room bar
High-top: a higher table with bar stools in our front room with an open kitchen and oyster counter.

Service was excellent. Food on point. Southern style so a bit dog in with your hands style messy but so so good.

First time going in - better than expected. Heard great things and the service at the bar was fantastic and each of the food and drink recommendations were spot on. Can't wait to come back with friends.

My friend and I have been here twice now and each time is a delight. The food is amazing, the service is fantastic, we will definitely be back until we’ve tried the whole menu.

Came here for the limited mackerel sandwich and fell in love with the place. We had the Smoked Fish Dish and Skate Cheek Etouffe. For cocktails, I had a French 75! Absolutely amazing!
