A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal.

Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Black Cod Almondine and Blackened Swordfish Belly.

To drink, Strange Delight updates old classics, serving both a Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for 2, alongside Martinis and Sazeracs. Our wine and beer lists feature our favorite American producers.

We offer 3 distinct types of reservations:
Regular: a table in our back dining room
Bar: seats at our back dining room bar
High-top: a higher table with bar stools in our front room with an open kitchen and oyster counter.

    This was hands down one of my favorite meals. It was so great from the food to the service to the ambience. I would recommend 10 times over. Thank you so much for making our birthdays incredible.

    I've had three dinners here and have been delighted each time. The food and cocktails are really good and the room in back is a pleasant surprise. Can't beat the hush puppies and the smoked fish dip with homemade (and delicious) crackers. The service is always great and it's easy to have a festive time here.
