Very noisy and almost obnoxious atmosphere. Food was decent if you like spicy. Service was adverage. Sat us outside on a cool and windy day, and yet didn't have propane for the heaters. Went to celebrate a milestone birthday won't be returning anytime soon.

This restaurant tries to be trendy. But lots of details totally missed the mark. One example. I ordered a hot green tea. It came with a teapot with a mug and teabag. I needed to put the teabag in the water myself. That’s not a big deal. But the water in the teapot was just lukewarm. $3 for this.

The food is good here but the management refuses to staff for the number of people present. The bar and wait staff are overwhelmed. We have eaten here many times and keep going back for the food. About 30% of the time the service is good. The music is really loud because they are catering to a crowd that looks at their phones through most of the meal, so no need to be able to hear each other. I am sure we will eat here again because we do like the food, and hopefully the owners will start paying attention to all the negative reviews on yelp, trip advisor, and open table.

It is nice when restaurants have a quiet eating area like Straits does. We ate outside so we could quietly talk with friends we don’t see that often. The side outside has good heaters. We always get the wonderful small plates to get the many different flavors.

A couple of things that were negative out of an overall positive experience. The men's room was quite dirty. There was broken glass on the floor from before we arrived.

I was late on Valentine’s Day and I called ahead of time to let them know I would be late. We were hesitating that our table would be given away but when we have arrived, they still took us in and reserve our table. We were really happy about it. The food was good! The Atmosphere was clean and enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for dinner dates and friendly environment. It was packed too and had good musics!

Terrible experience overall on Valentine's day even after having a reservation specifically requesting for a indoor table for 3. The one star for the service is for the front desk staff, who gave away the tables to walk-in customers and asking us to adjust in some bar like seats (if that is even possible with a toddler) located in some dingy corner of the restaurant!! It is only after we displayed our annoyance, they gave us a 2 person table. The terrible experience continued - The food was ok, the server some of the orders mixed up. Horrible experience overall, don't intend on visiting again!

Normally we have good meals here. This time the pad Thai was tasteless. Like really bad. (Lollipop and the tuna appetizers were amazing as usual.) Service by Christian was exceptionally great.

Insanely slow service. One of the worst we’ve seen in a while, excellent food (the first fish they served us was way over cooked but they replaced it) the seating they gave us was close to the door and the door always was left open by the security detail outside making it a very cold and miserable experience to add to the excruciatingly slow service. Very disappointed with service. They wouldn’t switch us with another open table even after requesting. Sad because the food was really good.

I know it’s because we went on New Year’s Eve, but we got seated outside near the door. Wouldn’t usually be a problem, but my husband’s chair kept getting hit by the door each time a server came through it. Simple solution, we moved the table about 6 inches and problem solved. Please don’t let the diner be the one to have to resolve it though. The food was great, though we got one meal before our second appetizer came. Drinks were tasty. Service was great as well.

Excellent restaurant with unique Singaporean and Indian fusion. From raw bar, small plates and entrees, everything was very tasty and like I said unique. Service could have been better, but it was a busy night. The hostess and waitress were extremely friendly and accommodating, but the bus boys could have been more prompt especially with water given we ordered spicy dishes. But I don't hold anything against anyone at the restaurant, they were busy and treats us with warm friendly service with a smile.

The appetizers were very good. Great mixture of curry flavors reminded me of times in Malaysia and Singapore. The entree prawns were slightly over sauced but flavors were great. The one big negative was the service. Our waitress knew almost nothing about the menu and worse was nowhere to be seen when we sat waiting for plates to eat our main. Overall the service was not good which was too bad because the food is very good.

I did not expect to have Singaporean food in Santana Row. All we tried today were exactly same taste as they were in Singapore or Malaysia. Amazing!

I have been coming here with friends since it opened many years ago… Tonight was the first night I had the worst food ever it was salty everything was very salty including my favorite dish beef Rendang. I hope this was a one time occurrence… I have always heard that it was hit or miss… First time all of our dishes were a miss. Extremely disappointed. The service was adequate and friendly. And it’s always loud here so nothing new.

Our server was terrible. She did not come back to our table to check on us, after food arrived. I had to track her down more then once to get refills on our drinks. She was suppose to bring out desert for my wife b-day, and she did not do so. She was not pleasant , and acted like a total jerk. She seemed angry, and she was very unapproachable, like I said I had to get up from my table and track her down to get refills, on our drinks, including water. Super disappointed. Plus the restaurant was super cold inside. I purposely made a reservation with open table, so we would have a nice table, they insisted on sitting us by the door, and I asked to have a table in a different location. Food was ok, this is my 4th time dining at the restaurant, and my last time .

If you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner, its probably not the place to be. Each dish was delicious and prepared very well.

Horrible service and not a great venue. They also had a to of rules around bottomless mimosas and the menu.

I actually went back the following day, I really like the place. The meat quality could be a bit better but I would return again when I’m back in the area. Service and all was great.
