Celebrate a birthday and a divorce. Perfect for both.
Lasagne was tasty but very little meat. Best tasting dish was the short ribs and pasta... sauce was phenomenal!
Awesome place as always!!!
The food was great and the atmosphere was very inviting.
Overall very pleasant. Wait staff was excellent.
Everything was delicious and we had a great time. Great spot for a date night
We were in town to drop my daughter off for camp. Their pasta was home made. I have a gluten allergy and the waitress informed me that they had separate prep areas for that. They even had gluten free bread and it was the best!!!
Very good service and experience. Food was very well prepared. A bit pricey but worth it as a great. Would recommend.
Mercy was our server and she was great!’
We got a reservation for pretty close to opening time. Fresh strawberry lemonade cocktail was excellent start. Can't comment on appetizers because we ordered entreés and desserts. All entreés were excellent especially those with the creamy tomato sauce. Desserts were also fabulous but the creme brulee, spumoni, and sorbet were the favorite. Superb service from Ana. Our favorite restaurant experience while in Asheville.
Loved the food, mixture of families and couples. Noise level was great.
We had reservations for the high top but they took us to a table at the normal level. Food was very good though. My only complaint is the reservation mishap.
Thank you for your feedback. We checked our system and it seems that we did seat you at one of our hightops (unless there was a mishap with our system, then we do apologize for that). Our hightops are mixed in with our regular height tables, the only difference is that they are bar height tables. We do apologize if you were expecting something different.
The menu had so many choices that it was hard to decide what to order. Everything is so fresh and made right in the restaurant. We were a party of six and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Excellent service and amazing food.
Took about an hour to get our extremely pricey food which was mediocre.
Thank you for your feedback. We make everything fresh from scratch in our kitchen and on busier nights it can take longer for those dishes to develop the proper flavors but even so, an hour is too long. We apologize for your wait and we would have happily recreated any dishes you were unsatisfied with. We hope you will return so we have the opportunity to recreate your experience.
This time I ordered the lasagna with the three meats and my spouse got the portofino. I was a bit disappointed with mine since I really didn’t see or taste very much meat. I think a tablespoon is generous. Of course my spouses dish looked fabulous. Next time I will not be getting the lasagna.
We started with stuffed figs with goat cheese which was outstanding. My husband had the homemade cannelloni and I had the short rib Bolognese - both delicious and large portions. Unfortunately we were on vacation and couldn’t take the leftovers home. Reasonable drink prices. When in Ashville, this is a definite stop.
Fallon was an awesome server.
The food was decent, generous meat portion, sauce was a bit acidic. Will not be back...
Both my friend and I had the lunch bowl which was very good. The kitchen was able to accommodate our special requests. Everything was served quickly and we weren't pestered with "how is everything" questions every 5 minutes which I appreciate during a business lunch. Noise level was very low so conversation was easy.
While homemade, the entrees were just ok tasting. The mussels (an appetizer) were good and sizable--enough for two. Service was very inattentive; had to ask for water, another glass of wine, etc. I felt that she was not interested in providing us with an exceptional dining experience.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like more information about your server so we can discuss this issue with them to ensure guests are properly taken care of. Please message us any details you can recall from your experience.
Our family had a fantastic meal. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers and entrees. The lasagna, shrimp scampi, and tortellini were all great. I highly recommend this restaurant and most especially enjoyed the gluten free choices. I loved the gluten free fried calamari! Looking forward to going back on our next visit to Asheville.
The food was pretty good, but not good enough to justify the price and hassle. Our server was friendly, but not attentive. The pizza took about 45 minutes to be served (time from when we ordered, not when we were seated), which seemed excessive. Our server did tell us she was checking on it, but didn't follow up with an apology or an explanation. We later overheard a nearby table being told by our server that they were no longer taking pizza orders, because they have one pizza chef and two ovens, and he was very behind because pizza was a popular choice that night. The manager then told the same table that they were out of dough. *Shrugs* With so many other great choices in Asheville, I'll most likely forgo returning.
Thank you for your feedback, Britt. We make everything fresh to order and when we are busy that can mean longer wait times. Pizza was a very popular choice that evening and our pizza chef did get a bit behind, we apologize for that. From the high demand of pizza we did end up running out of our house made dough as well. We appreciate you being patient with us and we hope you will return again soon.
Made an early reservation for dinner(6:30) had some rdoublwe paeki f ao was 10 minutes late. Our tsble was wairinf for ua and the hostess was very gracious. The calimari appetizer was some of the best I have had, lightly breaded and nor greasy. The Cesar salad was delicious, if sligbtly overdressed. We both ordered chicken dishes, serbed wirh risotto and both were very tasty. Two glasses of wine went well and we ledt feeling like we had just enjoyed a special meal.
Wonderful as always!
Lovely spot. Excellent individually prepared meals.
Our hotel recommended Strada. And what a great recommendation it was. Our waitress Kaitlin was amazing. Full of personality and she knew what she was doing. The food was very tasty and plenty of it. We will be back. Thanks for making our special night amazing.
Really good Italian food in Asheville. Who knew?
Great service, friendly people. Wonderful flavors and great menu. Highly recommend.
Wonderful old fashioned neighborhood Italian restaurant
Enjoyed our meal very much. Our server was great. I had the ravioli and it was good and the portion was very large. My husband had the shrimp marsela and he loved it.
The staff works hard and takse great care of their diners needs during the meal. The food is excellent at all times.
They have an extensive wine list worth checking out.
This was our first time dining here, the food was delicious and the service was friendly !!! We will be back for sure ....
Excellent food at reasonable prices. Authentic Italian cuisine, great service in a beautiful old building.
Amazing food and fantastic service. Our waitress was Ana and we appreciated her attentiveness and striking the balance of making sure we were taken care of yet not being overbearing and giving our family space to enjoy each other. She’s just a genuine person and great employee.
Food was incredible too! My 4-year old said that was the best cheese pizza she ever had and my wife loved the gluten free pizza. I got the creamy tomato vodka sauce pasta dish and am already excited about going back for more of the same!
We were seated right away. The menu was explained. Told us all of the pasta was made in house. I was able to substitute a different pasta in the dish I had. Caesar salad was excellent. Tiramisu was good, but not great.
Mercy was an exceptional server. Very accommodating and professional. We received 5 star service from her! This is rare in today’s society!
Great food, great drinks, great service!! Very reasonable prices for great Italian food.
Strada is a great place to get Italian food in Asheville. The service is excellent and the food always come the way you would expect it.
Food was delicious! Our entrees were served piping hot straight from the kitchen which was perfect. Kudos to the chef! Wait staff very attentive but not overbearing...just right. Very cozy welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to return. Definitely recommend A+++++
This is a great Italian restaurant in the perfect location downtown Asheville! Our meal was delicious and the service was excellent! Would go again definitely!
This was our first time and yes we would go back but here are some suggestions that would have made our experience even better. The tables for two like many restaurants were small. When you add your entree, bread, bread plates, oil for the bread, wine glasses, water glasses and a bottle of wine; you can feel the over crowding at the table. My wife had a problem with the Tortellini in vodka sauce. Though it tasted great the sauce was filed with minced garlic. My wife has a problem with raw garlic had to scrape garlic off every piece of Tortellini. Hopefully next time this dish can be prepared without the minced garlic like she has had in hundreds of Italian Restaurants throughout the years.
