Perfect dinner ! Cocktails and calamari as well as the stuffed figs were delicious! Ravioli the size of a softball, And seafood stew were delicious! Our waitress was perfect- just sorry we didn’t remember her name. Definitely would recommend and will gladly return!!
Worst Italian ( allegedly ) food ever. Drinks small, watery, & overpriced.
I have eaten there often when in Asheville. Great Italian cuisine and service, however on our last visit my wife's lasagna entrée was warm on the outside and cool in the center. The server quickly offered to replace her entrée which she declined because she was full. We will be dining there again when we're back in town.
Joslyn (sp?) was a wonderful waitress. She was so friendly and kind. The food was delicious!!! Everything we had was great! After the loud group of girls left, maybe a bachelorette party???, it wasn’t loud at all. I definitely don’t blame the restaurant for that, just saying it can get loud, as it is a small area to eat. But, it still wasn’t bad. I would gladly recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food! :)
Absolutely stellar service and the food is amazing!
We had a 6pm reservation for our anniversary dinner. Our server was excellent... very attentive and helpful. My wife asked her what a particular ingredient was and she wasn't absolutely sure... but rather than just guessing, passing it off like she knew, and dismissing it, she made a trip back to the kitchen just to find out for us. We really appreciate little things like that because it showed that she genuinely cared about our satisfaction.
Being that this was our first ever visit, there were many things we wanted to try. My wife got the Tuscan figs and lasagna. I got the calamari, grilled asparagus, and chicken marsala. We shared tiramisu for dessert.
In all fairness, we really like figs anyway... but the Tuscan figs were above and beyond... soooooo good. We will be trying to find a way to replicate them at home so we can have them more often! The chicken marsala was I N C R E D I B L E... the best I have ever had!
While the lasagna, calamari, and asparagus were all very good, none of them as a whole really stood out above any we have had elsewhere. I will say that I really enjoyed the plum tomato sauce provided with the calamari... very bright, fresh, and light compared to the heavier and often overly sweet offerings from the popular Italian chains.
The tiramisu was very good as well. I tend to like versions with a more intense coffee flavor, but of the lighter versions I have had, this was probably the best. My wife is not a fan of strong coffee, so she thought this was wonderful.
Others may agree or disagree with our opinions, because as with most foods at most places, reviews depend on the pretty much infinite variable of people's individual tastes. However, I can say without a doubt that WE will be repeat customers!
Food was fantastic! Service was friendly, helpful and courteous. Would definitely go again.
Great Italian cuisine and a desirable atmosphere. The service was outstanding although I felt either the prices were slightly high or the portions slightly small. Will definitely visit again. I would classify it as a “special occasion” eatery.
Had a great waitress that knew her wines and found us a great one! She also knew all about their menu, which really helped us to order. Everything we ordered was great right down to the cannolis and tiramisu! Would definitely recommend.
Authentic vibe. Atmosphere on point. They were short staffed yet still managed to make us feel well served.
We travel to Asheville at least once a year and always have to have dinner at Strada. The food is consistently delicious and the service is wonderful. During this visit our server was weighed down and there were a few delays in receiving drinks. However, he was very apologetic and we could see how hard he was working.
We had reservations but chose to seat at the bar on a Sunday evening for dinner. The bar was slammed and that could have been part of the issue with getting great service. We had to wait about 15- 20 minutes to get bread. It was 8:00 pm and they didn’t seem ready to accommodate the patrons. However, everyone was very friendly and the food was tasty. We ordered the gundi entree because they were out of the Sunday gravy. It was not my favorite as it doesn’t have much flavor and is very filling. I would return and order a different entree.
Very nice service and food.
We had a great time! Met some friends for a birthday dinner and service was wonderful, ambiance was great and the food was good. After dinner our friend was surprised with a treat for his birthday!!
Sat at rooftop bar. There were four of us. We brought our own 2 menus from the bar and did not receive additional menus. When our food arrived we still didnt have utensils or napkins. My friend waited an hour for his ginger ale and when he told the waitress she said they ran out of gingerale and forgot to tell him. Then walked away. My husband and I have been there several times before. Rooftop service is pretty blah, but this time it was bad. Very understaffed up there. That bartender is not enough to help the main waiter. Stop being cheap. Get more staff.
On a long weekend in Asheville, stopped by Strada for dinner. Kudos!! This restaurant is excellent! Perfect portion size, great environment, great service! The Bartender that night was a true professional!
Will definitely be back!!
Large table next to us was loud. Not the restaurant's fault. Would definitely recommend the food.
Very average restaurant. They need to increase the choices on the menu.
Loved Stradas. Will definitely be back. Great food, ambiance, and service.
First time diner. Hotel we were staying at told us the food and service were excellent. Strada didn’t let us down. I had Sunday gravy on Monday. My wife had Tortellini ala Vodka. Both excellent. Try if you want amazing Italian food.
After our water was brought to our table we waited for about 10-12 minutes until the server came by to take our order. We thought she had forgotten about us. Otherwise the whole experience was great. I’ll definitely be back.
I would not recommend Strada for brunch, which was nothing special.
We ate here for my birthday. Our server was amazing, and another waitress was very sweet to our little boy. They brought his food out first, which was very thoughtful. Our server even brought me a little birthday surprise.
However, I did eat the tortellini alla vodka, and I've had amazing vodka sauce before - this was not it, unfortunately. It wasn't bad by any means, but just not the particular taste that I was craving. My husband and my son enjoyed the tirimasu.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience!
Vacation visit. Mom and daughters weekend
An absolutely wonderful dining experience
Ordered the Scampi and It was perfect
The fig appetizer is amazing!!!!
Myself and Best In Blues Peggy Ratusz share August 16 birthdays and celebrated at Strada before she sang at 5 Walnut Wine Bar. Need I say anything else? Thanks to our waiter and servers.
Bummer. We are local and had a Thursday night reservation for our anniversary. Hostess did not say a word as she seated us. Wait staff was inattentive. We were really looking forward to a good Italian dinner as the chef is a Jersey boy. The food was fair with a limited menu to choose from. Too many resaurants in Asheville to go back. This may be a tourist town but locals are the people who will come back.
Excellent food and service. The pizza was delicious! Would definitely eat there again!
Great Italian food. Like being in NYC.
Great food and Morgan our server was special-great find on Open Table
Our service was exceptional! We enjoyed the food which was made to order. It was a sweet place to celebrate our anniversary.
My first time at Stada and it was a fabulous experience. Excellent service, great pasta and one of the best cheesecake's I've had. Highly recommend.
Great and immediate service. We shared the stuffed figs appetizer which was delicious. One pasta, one sweet potato bowl and one salad at the table. Everyone was happy!
We ate here at 8pm in a Thursday night (we had reservations). It took a little while before anyone came to our table and then our server was also the bartender. Drinks arrived quickly but the bread he offered never came and when we asked, were told they were “working on it”. Appetizers appeared over 30 minutes later. The food was good but not as great as the prices led us to believe. For a $90 Italian dinner, there are better choices in Asheville.
The food was delicious and the portions were surprisingly large so I felt the value was outstanding. Our server (I’m afraid I’ve forgotten his name unfortunately!) was wonderful and thoughtful: he really anticipated what we might want and was on top of everything. Loved Strada and will definitely go back as soon as we can! (Also I’m a vegan and great vegan Italian food is rare and hard to come by; this was aces!)
The shrimp piccata was just okay. My mojito was super-watered-down. Beautiful venue. Excellent service!!
