I booked a reservation for 6:30pm. Upon arriving to the restaurant there was one couple sitting at the table in the middle, 2 couples at the bar, and one couple by the windows. When asked to be seated our waiter tried to sit us right near the couple in the middle, when my boyfriend politely asked to be spaced out our waiter became difficult. We finally got a seat and as we saw other people came in they were given seats that our waiter said weren't available. Here are our main issues. A) The restaurant was basically empty when we arrived and left. B) our waiter could have sat us in the corner by the window, all 8 of those tables were clear when we arrived. C) This is not our first time experiencing horrific service at Storyville.

Ok came in with my boyfriend for his birthday. The host actually asked if we were celebrating anything and I mention his bday and they did nothing special for it. Not that that is required or expected, just found it awkward to go out of your way to ask that and then don’t say happy bday or offer a complimentary anything. But, moving on Service started out slow at first. Not clear why, it was pretty empty in there. I don’t remember our severs name but she was attentive after me having to ask for refills for our mimosas. I paid for bottomless, and there’s a time limit so you should be bringing them out in a timely manner Food is quite subpar. The beignets were hot like they were made fresh so we enjoyed that. My boyfriends meal without his side came out a full 30 min before my food and no one offered an explanation as to why until they saw us awkwardly sitting there because my boyfriend wasn’t going to eat without me. So his food sits there, gets to room temp, we make convo, 30 min later my meal and his side come out. He got the biscuits and gravy which was seasoned well and was tasty. The chicken and waffles were almost okay. The chicken wings that they use are about the size of the little chicken wings from the deli at jewel osco. The waffle was also more grainy than fluffy Then the bill comes. I use my phone to do the scan to pay. Now this part, is partially my fault. I did not realize that on their website, they state in fine print that 18.5% gratuity is automatically included. Normally, they let you know this up front when the waiter/tress initially greets you. But that is very much my fault for 1. Not doing my research and 2. Expecting 5 Star service from a place that gave me a crumpled paper menu. When I scan to pay, there was no automatic gratuity included so I added a tip, then right before you hit ‘pay’ on the next screen, it’s added All in all, I’d recommend not going. There’s too large a margin between cost and quality. The staff were nice people tho

Very disappointed with Lulu’s. The bartender was nice and food was fair. The downstairs was just a room with the same music as upstairs. A few pics and older seats. Thought it would be more special. Been there done that. Enough said.

This was my 2nd time there. The first time was out standing. This time the shrimp were not completely done and the grits were not seasoned the same as the first time. I will give them one more shot.
