The food was excellent. The service was great. Had to wait to be seated, even though we had reservations. I usually don’t mind, but there is no where to wait and no communication about when our table would be ready. I had to finally ask the hostess about our table. The manager wasn’t friendly or helpful.

While waiting for my friend, I sat at the bar and the server was very pleasant. Our server at our table was great. She was cheerful and engaging. She was willing to offer helpful tips on items when asked and was attentive during our dinner without. Being intrusive. The mushroom hand pies were very tasty and a nice start to dinner. I had the Cacio e Pepe which was an interesting riff on traditional dish. Unfortunately, the pasta was cooked to American tastes (a bit overcooked). The sauce wasn’t was rich as a traditional Italian Cacio e Pepe, but the mushrooms helped with some umami. The cherry upside down cake was wonderful.

Really terrific, creative and delicious food and cocktail options- even a cocktail flight! I’ve never seen that before and the Paloma is my new favorite. The escargot was rich in almost a French onion soup sauce vs the typical garlic butter and served piping hot with an awesome equally hot pretzel roll. Our server was super friendly, helpful and attentive. What a gem of a place!

We were warmly greeted, taken to our table, and given some info about the specials. We ordered a cheese platter. The cheeses were varied and tasty. There was also toasted bread, a jam, and thinly sliced ham. All tasted very good. Our sangria was so flavorful. The entrees were great. Many good choices. I ordered the chicken pasta special. Delicious. The meal was paced well, our server met all our needs, very friendly. We’ll be back.

Ordered the mushroom appetizer which was very good and partner ordered the chicken thighs which were a bit too spicy for him - should be warning. I had the butternut squash salad which was divine !! It was really loud in there tonight due to the drinking crowd of women.. it’s a great spot for brunch as well . Food is always fresh and creative !!

Overpriced for what you got. Had the broccoli cheddar egg bake. Couldn't find the broccoli and the base was an inch of some bread-thing(egg custard soaked bread). Only thing recognizable were the 2 eggs. Will give a thumbs up to our server. She was very accommodating. Lunch menu only served during the week, so brunch items were the only option. Would not go back.

Charlotte was wonderful! She explained the dishes and shared her favorites when asked. She was very attentive and we never felt rushed! The food was amazing and so flavorful! We will be back!

Story Hill BKC's private dining room is an intimate wine cellar-inspired space available for reservation with seatings throughout the day for parties of up to 12. Our private dining room is a cozy, convivial room where you can have your next unforgettable dining experience.
