Storm Crow Manor
I had requested a table upstairs and when we arrived was told that upstairs was full, which defeats the point of a reservation. We had sat on the main level before and wanted something special for my son’s birthday. Our server barely acknowledged us nor did he acknowledge the birthday despite the fact that it was written on our reservation table talker. We had a large bill and it would’ve been nice if one of the shots were compt or maybe a bday dessert offered considering we weren’t even sat where we wanted to be. As a server myself I always go out of my way to make a birthday special; ESPECIALLY when a table is friendly, easy, and ordering drinks and food with abandon. I hate to see this kind of laziness and complacency in the industry.
Very disappointing and we won’t be back again.
This is a home away from home for nerds of all walks of life, I took my whole family for Brunch the other day, we were taken care of and they went above and beyond my expectations (I was expecting a lot!) I will return over and over and bring everyone I know, it's my go-to place now.
I normally love coming here but this particular outing was not the best show especially considering some of our party were having their first visit. We were seated over a half hour late which isn’t inherintly the staffs fault but tables with reservations coming in after them need to be made aware there time is done. There was also not nearly enough service staff on hand as our drink orders took nearly a half hour to arrive and our food another half hour and at no point did our server make a note of informing us of delays or wait times. The food drinks and space were all fantastic when we finally got seated/had our food delivered but it took far too long for all of that to happen.
Very interesting ambiance. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was good.
Great atmosphere, friendly attentive waitstaff. Staff seemed to work well as a team to ensure service was great. Good menu with a lot of options.
first time there and I am already looking forward to my next time, Awesome place and great food
Loved the place. Great service awesome decor/atmosphere and a super fun place to enjoy yourself. Highly recommend!
An excellent evening! We got to use the Heaven private room and even learned there was a light switch that we could control!
And it had a door! That closed! Excellent service from Hugh/Barbie and our first server whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. Everyone was great!
The first round of shots was comped because there was a bit of a wait but the food and drinks were excellent as always.
Bring your own loonies, they are in heavy demand.
I was really excited to go to Storm Crow Manor, so about a week before, I made a reservation... which somehow led to us being seated at a tiny table that was more or less a hole in the wall. We were uncomfortable and barely had enough space on our table for food. Props to this place for being instagrammable, but if you are going for an experience as opposed to taking photos for social media, you might be disappointed.
It’s my new favourite spot in Toronto. A new gaycation tradition for my group. We hope to get seated in a different area next time.
Such a cool heritage building and such great staff. There’s so much of interest and amusement there, it’s definitely a nerd’s paradise. We were there for brunch, which we hadn’t expected, and the food was good but very few menu options. I’d love to come back for the regular menu and a couple of games. Their events sound intriguing, but it seems like a bar first and eatery second.
It was my families first time; my wife had heard about your restaurant through Chum FM and we had to try it. It did not disappoint; we had a wonderful time exploring and enjoying the food and atmosphere
Awesome ambiance! Loved every nook and corner of the manor! Very innovative.
Service was great.
Food - very innovative names!!
Food - quality and taste - 7/10. We went for brunch and the quantity was much lesser than our usual Brunch places that we go to.
Great food, service, and geeky / nerdy ambiance done right.
A perfectly themed, detailed-filled experience. The care and fun put into the decor, menu and overall spirit of the place is incredible.
So cool! Super unique ambiance and although packed, our server was lovely and helped ensure a wonderful evening. Food was good for a bar and above average for a restaurant. It is a big packed in the rooms but worth it. Cocktails are yummy and priced pretty well for a downtown Toronto bar. Definitely planning to go back soon!
So here’s the deal. I booked for a table for two, 2 days ahead . When we got there we were seated in a counter bar-height table. The bar seats were wobbly and kept on rotating on me. We were in an enclave kind of nook which made us look like a part of this wall unit . By the way my view was facing the kitchen where servers come in and out . To my our side was the entrance where all the guests were coming in .
The food is blah. It is overpriced for something which that you can get in any other restaurant. We went there with full of excitement for an “experience “ but came home confused on what the big deal is all about being a nerdy hangout.
We were told to roam around to see the other parts of the restaurant. The more we realized that there are far more dining spaces upstairs which are more comfortable than what were designated.
Decor wise , it has plenty these posters and paraphernalia that were really hard to appreciate because the space is way to cramped and it felt so odd to be walking by people dining while ogling “exhibits” on the walls.
So so food. If one should come up with with a theme restaurant, be clear and be forward with the idea. The restaurant has some promise if only it was better thought of. Poor concept. A dud
Got together with good friends and had an amazing time! The staff are incredible and the atmosphere is electric. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Place is super tryhard. If you are into kitschy nerd chic, this is the place for you. If you are looking for an intimate and unpretentious experience try elsewhere. Every inch of the wall seems to be obsessively covered from a "Nerds like this, so let's put it here." They tend to give a 13 where a 9 would do.
It was unremarkable pub fair, which is exactly what I was expecting. I had an excellent pulled pork sandwich with mediocre fries. My girlfriend ate the Chicken Burger of Tzeentch which is a hilarious name and she seemed to like it, with a salad she also said was good.
The drinks were easily the best part. We had non-alcoholic Klingon Blood Wine at the bar, a nice mixed drink then rolled a D20 to find out which shots we would be drinking. For supper we split the Pan Galatic Gargle Blaster, which had a little song and dance to accompany it. I thought this was the most well done part of the evening.
Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes, but a specific sort of friend who is into nerd culture or as a destination place for a group. The bar's initial "neat" factor is there but once it wears out the bar quickly becomes nothing special.
The service is amazing, everyone was super friendly! I went in for the Valentine’s Day meal and honestly I didn’t find it worth my money... the mussels were good, although a bit salty, but my ravioli’s edges were hard and seemed way undercooked, and as a main course, it was really disappointing. There was a random blast of Star Wars music half way throughout my meal that was startling, but it wasn’t the worst part. The quality of the food ruined most of the evening for me, unfortunately. I’m willing to give them a second chance but this experience really wasn’t the best :(
It was such a delight to dine in a place that felt like our dream home. The decor is so immersive and fun, service was incredible as well as food and drinks. Looking forward to returning with friends
We love Hugh! Hugh was our server and totally knocked it out of the park, going above and beyond to make our Valentine's day special!
Ate lunch here...totally empty but great service, good food, nice drink selection. Would recommend.
Storm Crow Manor was everything I hoped it would be, and more. Rolling a dice to determine what your burger is, was really engaging. They've thought of tons of little nuanced things that really add to the experience, and make the whole experience very exciting. Our server, Gabriel, was enthusiastic and helpful. Get the battered pickles! So good.
Cool but seating is very tight. High seating means seating on the 2nd floor. Did that but will request ground floor next time because there seems to be a bit more room. It’s fun but the food is just average. Drinks were fun and creative.
So fun and fresh, every room is an exhibit in of itself and the food and drink are so fun. Reccomend it to anyone.
I love storm crow VAN and TO! The service was almost TOO good.
The overall experience was great; and we will certainly return however the service was slow and uninformed which at times was frustrating when a time limit was reiterated so many times.
The vibe was super cool! It's a fun place to hang out. The food is just really overpriced and the service wasn't amazing.
I will and I have recommended Storm Crow Manor to a few friends. The food...the ambiance was amazing.
Really unique nerdy experience!! They got me the wrong d20 shot but they didn't charge me for it and still got me the right one later. They also give free magic cards with the bills. Awesome decorations and overall feel. Rolling D20s for stuff is THE BEST.
We had a terrific time and look forward to going again soon!
Love Storm Crow! So many cool and geeky references in the menu. The drinks and food are great. I'd mentioned in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, though, and it didn't seem to come up...
Great service and very accommodating staff, with a fabulous drink menu. Didn't end up ordering food, but their late night menu looks appealing as well.
The service alone is outstanding. Everything about this place is so much fun and the food is pretty good too!
Absolutely awesome! Great atmosphere and attention to detail. Highly recommend for any self-proclaimed nerd.
When we arrived we were 1 person over our original reservation, but the staff and general manger were amazing! Not only did they recognize me as a returning guest, but they made our table work for the extra person. Servers were friendly, fun and knowledgeable as usual. It was packed, but not so noisy that regular conversation was a challenge (noise is a huge issue in most new places). Love this place, as did my first time guests. It’s becoming my regular neighbourhood haunt. Keep up the amazing service!
Great food and amazing ambiance. Vegan and vegetarian options.
Super fun themed rooms, staff were great, food good and my 9 year old LOVED it. So much to look at and board games were a nice touch.
A fun place, fun drinks, food is good. Don’t need to be a nerd to enjoy.
