Brussel sprouts were delicious.
Vegetarian pasta yummy.
3 chicken plates were turned back because it has creamy polenta with butter in it and over the chicken and the 3 of us ordered chicken because it was plsin.
One got his chicken dish when we had to leave whom we invited so he didnt eat.
He said he would never return
Multiple visits. Convenient following public programs at NYHS. This night, arugula salad and Arctic char were delicious.
The dish with black truffle was tasteless I think the truffle was old and dried out. It was very expensive so one expects the truffle to have taste
Storico is a firm favorite. The food is always well-prepared and flavorsome, and the presentation reflects an attention to detail which goes beyond only the taste. The staff are friendly and helpful and the ambiance is a delight - such a beautiful and unusual setting.
Good option in the American Museum of Natural History area. Conveniently located in New York Historical Society. Small but well prepared menu. Attentive service.
Love museum cafes and wish i could love this o one but....crazy loud noise level doesnt make for enjoyable conversation, understaffed wait service but great coffee!
After NYHS event the place was slammed but staff handled the rush with grace and aplomb. The room is beautiful and welcoming. The menu is brief but nicely curated. My duck salad was very good: the combo of smoked duck and a mild blue cheese was surprising in a good way. The rigatoni was a hair short of al dente—maybe that was a result of the rush? We enjoyed the meal and the place. Thought it a little pricey.
The food was outstanding. All five of us loved our dish. The flavors and combinations were so exceptional. We could not put down our forks! A definite go to whether visiting the museum or in the neighborhood.
Food excellent. Great room but cavernous and so too noisy. Too bad
Storico is one of the best Museum restaurants in NYC. The ambiance is terrific and you don't feel cramped or bored with the surroundings. The food is terrific, well prepared and presented. The servers are polite, efficient and knowledgable. Food is moderately priced for NYC and the portions are ample.
The menu is eclectic with burgers, sandwiches, pastas, fish and fowl.
I was particularly impressed with the "non-meat burger" which was delicious and you could not tell the difference from the real burger.
After a tour of the museum or before it is a great and convenient treat.
Do make a reservation, restaurant is small and well loved!
Great change from the usual Lincoln Center options.
Such a beautiful restaurant and food is so good. Love the burger and cooked to perfection!!
Great service in pleasant surroundings. We went to the New York Historical Society after our lunch. Storico is located in the museum and gave us a member’s discount. The good was very good.
Went for Sunday brunch. The setting is so pretty - the crisp white walls, the sunny yellow chairs and the collection of blue and white plates. The challah French Toast was excellent...moist and chewy. Really special. My husband had an omelette with salad greens and was really pleased. Our guest had the fig and prosciutto sandwich and was also happy. Afterwards we walked around the New York Historical Museum. Made for a perfect Sunday.
I just love this restaurant ... it's one of my favorites for lunch ... anytime I can get here I am thrilled ... the food is good: oh, that crispy zucchini!!! and the asparagus!!! Who needs anything more than a selection of the appetizers ... but push on through the menu because it's filled with soul-satisfying foods (everyone I know, however, wants them to add the whole egg to the frittata rather than just using the whites!!! kitchen listen up!!) You' ll love the atmosphere ... what a charming delightful place to share stories and time with friends ...
Food is excellent, service too just that its a tad bit overpriced. good for couples or groups, it is a neighborhood gem for me, not too flashy but excellent food.
A jewel for lunch. I liked it so much I went back again the next day.
Lucked into this place at lunchtime on a weekday, food was divine and waiter was attentive without being intrusive.
It's always appreciated when a museum has a good restaurant where you can take a break between viewings. That's why we are delighted that the food at Storico in the New York Historical Society is delicious and the staff so helpful. The bolognese was rich and spiced just right. And the burrata was fresh and flavorful. However, we were a little taken aback by the prices. A bowl of pasta was $22 and this isn't exactly Babbo. There are several appetizers that can easily be made into entrees by adding prosciutto or chicken, but even those can easily wind up over $20. You can, however, sit at the bar and have just coffee or a cold drink.
This is an excellent spot for Branzino! Lovely atmosphere and service. And you can visit the lovely museum after your meal. The Tiffany Glass exhibit is fantastic!
Always a pleasant experience, whether lunch or dinner.
Too pricey for what's offered. Just okay- if you're hungry grab something at the coffee bar across the hall.
Great food and very good value for the neighborhood.
Excellent food and friendly service. Great to combine with a visit to the New-York Historical Society.
Food was excellent, basic brunch but very good and not super heavy. We got omelets and side of sausage, which were excellent.
Lovely lunch in a beautiful New York Landmark! Delicious burger , fries, chicken sandwiches, and French toast. One of the best cappuccinos I have ever had.
It’s a very nice place with a nice decoration inside the museum. The service was very good. They took their time to bring the food though, but it was delicious. Very recommendable
excellent service, very accommodating and knowledgeable bar tender/server. Excellent drink and wine choices.
Superior pasta dishes - in both cases a new take on a
standard dish. We were elated clean plate diners!
Will return to dine again w/friends
We did the Restaurant week menue and prior to us going to Shakespeare in the Park so was perfect and had us in and out in 45 minutes.
absolutely perfect for a quality meal prior to Shakespeare in the Park
We arrived on time for a 12:30 lunch reservation for five people. We received our food order at 1:50 PM. The burrata and eggplant was inedible (slimey cold eggplant).
All this came as a surprise because prior visits for dinner were flawless. We were comped for the burrata and coffees when the entire experience warranted a full comp.
Wait staff is wonderful as is food. My only complaint is noise level makes conversation difficult.
Food and service were excellent. Room was bright and cheery. At the beginning the kitchen was slow, but as time went on adjustments were made and things went more smoothly.
A delightful experience!
We all enjoyed our dinner and our waiter was great. It was a lovely evening.
We had one major issue with the service. We had to wait 40 minutes for our entree. When it finally arrived it was delicious.
Food was delicious, many choices. We had lunch during our museum visit. Dining room is pretty and bright, but tends to be noisy.
Went to Storico with two friends visiting from out-of-town. They were deeply impressed with the food and with the fact that I knew about the place. Ideal!
Food was excellent; drinks were excellent. A good selection to choose from and I don't think you could go wrong with anything you chose. The service was great. Never felt rushed. Really loved this restaurant.
