Great food and fun experience for my trip to NY.
Waited for table for 25 mins
I have had lunch many times at Storico. I have enjoyed everything about it and taken many people there.
Food was great, service was outstanding.
Despite the craziness of families attending the Macy's Thanksgiving balloon inflation happening right outside the restaurant, service was spot on. The hosts keeping her calm as she dealt with new members who did not make reservations for the restaurant in advance on such a busy day.
The service, as always was perfect. The food, while tasty was not up to past dining experiences at Storico.
The steak in the steak and eggs brunch option was very very tough and even hard to cut with the steak knives provided. The sauce on it was delicious, but I really could not chew some of the meat. The fries accompanying the entry were excellent.
Beautiful room, decent overpriced food, excellent service, not at all noisy.
Went at start of service at 5PM and yet it took a very long time to get the food served.
Wonderful place to eat, especially if you’ve gone to the New York Historical Society.
Multiple visits. Convenient to NYHS for Programs. Solid fare. Good service.
Noise was excruciating. Menu very limited. Service and food were fine.
wonderful space but too loud. an echo chamber so hard to hold conversation. wonderful waiter.
Usually a great choice when visiting NYHS, our experience yesterday wasn’t the best. The food was very good, but it took almost an hour to be served. I’ll chalk it up to being a Sunday and come again on a weekday.
We had a great time. Met friends for lunch before going to the AMNH. They make great drinks and the burger was tasty. Great selection of food and drink. Would def go back.
Both pastas were delicious.
The clams and garlic and mozzarella, tomatoes and penne.
Red wine selections good
Great food and service ... would highly recommend and return
Excellent food, great location, light room. Just pricey.
The Arctic char with brazier romaine was excellent. The service was excellent, but the number of items on the menu seems to be shrinking!
We had a reservation for 5:30 which is the time that the restaurant opened. The hostess handed out drink menus and informed us that we would have to have water and then a drink as the restaurant just opened and they were setting up.
Eventually we received a menu. Then the menu was replaced after about 10 minutes with another menu with the day’s selections. The waiter was ill-informed in terms of the changes.
Service was lackluster.
If a restaurant takes reservations for dinner at an appointed time the Restsurant should be prepared for dinner service.
Clearly management was lacking and customer service non-existent
Both my guest and I - who ordered different mains - had very seriously over-salted pasta dishes. They were both impossible to eat. We complained and eventually got new versions of the same dishes with no salt at all (and salt is not on the table.). Our server apologized, but it was a lousy and embarrassing (for me as host) experience -and we had to rush to eat our dinners as we had tickets for a NYHS event. Dinners tend to be overpriced as it is, but this was unacceptable.
The service was great.
We were welcomed as soon as we arrived.
The food was excellent.
Everyone ordered different meals and all enjoyed!
We would definitely return .
Noisy and boisterous but light and delicious fare at lunch.
Limited menu, high prices. Need more variety. Too noisy!
Had dinner after an evening program at Historical Society - wonderful way to 'round out' an evening - stimulating program and delicious meal - if only noise level were less.
While the food and service were good, the menu is much too limited and there are no specials. I need more choices.
Convenient if one is going to lecture or movie at the Historical Society. Service is geared to getting patrons out in time.
Italian food is just ok; other restaurants can do it better. Where are the vegan options? But good wine list.
Brussel sprouts were delicious.
Vegetarian pasta yummy.
3 chicken plates were turned back because it has creamy polenta with butter in it and over the chicken and the 3 of us ordered chicken because it was plsin.
One got his chicken dish when we had to leave whom we invited so he didnt eat.
He said he would never return
Delicious! Great service! Can’t wait to go back!
Multiple visits. Convenient following public programs at NYHS. This night, arugula salad and Arctic char were delicious.
The dish with black truffle was tasteless I think the truffle was old and dried out. It was very expensive so one expects the truffle to have taste
A great restaurant to combine with a visit to Historical Society. Friendly waitstaff. Some interesting food options well presented.
Storico is a firm favorite. The food is always well-prepared and flavorsome, and the presentation reflects an attention to detail which goes beyond only the taste. The staff are friendly and helpful and the ambiance is a delight - such a beautiful and unusual setting.
Good option in the American Museum of Natural History area. Conveniently located in New York Historical Society. Small but well prepared menu. Attentive service.
Love museum cafes and wish i could love this o one but....crazy loud noise level doesnt make for enjoyable conversation, understaffed wait service but great coffee!
After NYHS event the place was slammed but staff handled the rush with grace and aplomb. The room is beautiful and welcoming. The menu is brief but nicely curated. My duck salad was very good: the combo of smoked duck and a mild blue cheese was surprising in a good way. The rigatoni was a hair short of al dente—maybe that was a result of the rush? We enjoyed the meal and the place. Thought it a little pricey.
The food was outstanding. All five of us loved our dish. The flavors and combinations were so exceptional. We could not put down our forks! A definite go to whether visiting the museum or in the neighborhood.
Food excellent. Great room but cavernous and so too noisy. Too bad
Storico is one of the best Museum restaurants in NYC. The ambiance is terrific and you don't feel cramped or bored with the surroundings. The food is terrific, well prepared and presented. The servers are polite, efficient and knowledgable. Food is moderately priced for NYC and the portions are ample.
The menu is eclectic with burgers, sandwiches, pastas, fish and fowl.
I was particularly impressed with the "non-meat burger" which was delicious and you could not tell the difference from the real burger.
After a tour of the museum or before it is a great and convenient treat.
Do make a reservation, restaurant is small and well loved!
Great change from the usual Lincoln Center options.
Such a beautiful restaurant and food is so good. Love the burger and cooked to perfection!!
