Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante
We had a dream to bring traditional and nearly lost Italian dishes to Atlanta. The result: Storico Fresco Alimentari, quite simply an Italian grocery store and restaurant in one. We’ve gone beyond and created a true Italian experience for you to enjoy. We use locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes.

I normally love any and all pasta at storio. Last night’s very pricey pasta was the biggest disappointment I’ve had at Storio. The cook produced a clam/lemon/pasta dish with virtually zero lemon taste, only one clove of garlic plus tremendously tough clams not chewable at all. The entire dish was amazingly tasteless. The squid ink pasta also disappointed in the taste department. No flavor to the pasta. Imagine that with squid ink. The octopus & calamari in the fish were good, but overall a huge disappointment.
I regret having to write this very negative view of normally one of my favorite places for pasta.
Whoever cooked Tuesday night, get rid of them!
The Food was delicious and my husband is an excellent Italian cook from Milan, where I also lived for 20 years so I am very picky about Italian restaurants in the US but this is the real deal. It as very crowed Monday night and we only had a small table outside on the sidewalk and that was fine once the crowd went in to be seated. we got our wine and appetizers and literally the waiter never came back for the rest of our order-finally flagged down someone to get him so we could order our pasta course. We get it, they were very crowded and I am an easy going person so all good-again the pasta was ecellente ! Just dont forget you outside customers on busy nights!
Amazing, as always. Pasta was delicious and the veggie plate was great!
Always amazing! Great spot for any occasion.
Overall everything was great.
Our server added to our excellent food. Just the right touch.
The restaurant is nice and quaint. It has fresh meats and cheese, so start with a charcuterie board. The pasta was fresh and home made. I had the shrimp pesto pasta. That isn’t the name on the menu. It was good but dried up fast. My partner order the shrimp ravioli and enjoyed it. Drinks were tasty and ran about $14. The service was not that great. Took them a while to take our order. Once the food came, every thing went smoothly. Tables of two may have a divider.
I enjoy their food mostly all the appetizers are really tasty and the ravioli is very light and flavourful
Parking is a real challenge and that made the experience overall not as great as it could’ve been.
Fantastico! Always a good time and the most delicious food!
Excellent food, excellent staff! Food for foodies!
Loved this place, we will be back!
Our first time here! We were so pleasantly surprised by this exquisite gem! Landed on this baby and will now be a focused part of our rotation. The ambiance was beautiful, reminiscent of one of our favorite places in Los Angeles. The food was so darn good and enticing from the minute we viewed the menu. The spinach ravioli was amazing! Don’t forget the dessert. The tiramisu was some of the best that I’ve had. Can’t wait to go back and take friends. Excellent service and knowledge staff!
Food for s good. Noise level very high - hard to have conversation at the table.
The food and service was great. Food more so than service. Only knock is they will not change entrees to your choosing. Very busy place but only knock.
Loud. Loud. Loud. Packed with millennials. Food average. Service, particularly bar service, very good.
Really great and food was awesome
I went with my girlfriends for a bday dinner. The bread service we ordered was burned the first 2 times he brought it out. It was visibly burned when he laid it down, and then it tasted like smoke and snapped like a cracker. The 3rd bread service was softer and edible. The octopus app was delicious. The problem is they served us our octopus appetizer alongside our dinner orders. We didn't want them together, we wanted them spaced out. So our pasta got a bit lumpy and dry while we ate our octopus. Plus we felt rushed because they served us this way. The cocktail drinks were good. Even though we complained about all of the above, it didn't feel like they really cared. We did get the bread service taken off the tab but that's it. Not very good customer service, especially since we didn't have a great experience and we told them that. Didn't even want to stay for dessert but someone else came up to our table with a slice of cheesecake for our friend's bday, so we stayed to take a bite of that before we left to have dessert and after dinner cocktails elsewhere.
Place was busy as always, service is getting worse by the day, the food is very consistent
Food and service were fantastic!
Amazing and can’t wait to return!
This is one of our favorite restaurant’s in Atlanta. The food is so authentic and fabulous. My son and I had the ravioli and my husband had the Bolognese. We also had the squash blossoms, all time favorite. The staff is great! This place is a must, it is the best!
It was too loud. But everything else was amazing. Waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and so helpful.
Kelsey is the best person to work in a restaurant. Together with Server Hector we were treated so well. The food at Storica is right out of the best, no-touristy Italian restaurant in Italy.
The food was fantastic! Best Bolognese I’ve had in a very long time!! Highly recommend although it is a bit noisy.
With pasta made on site leading the way, the food was just outstanding. We had rigatoni insalata and ravioli spinach, both very good accompanied by excellent grilled vegetables. The also have a great selection of wines
Best pasta I’ve had hands down.
The best Italian food in the city. Great service as well
Ate outside and e everything was lovely.
Vibrant atmosphere, professional staff, delicious food
This was a poor experience by my opinion. The restaurant has quite a few operational errors and it shows.
First, food consistency at my table was poor. We received four meals for which one was cold, one was so salty it was inedible, one was perfect, and another tasted like Chef Boyardee. The salty meal was truly inedible.
The diner waiting location is a hazard to patrons due to it being jammed up against the street. The restaurant needs to remove the few tables down the street away from the restaurant to preserve their waiting clients. Waiting clients are resting against diners or are in the street. Those are the only choices. Further, service down the street is slow, non-responsive, and disconnected from the restaurant ambiance. We dined here and waited more than ten minutes for a drink order then another almost twenty minutes for a request for appetizers and dinner. All the while the waiting line surrounded us in a huddle peering over our table.
The menu is very “meh.” Food choices are ultimately just dolled up with fancy cheese. If you have nut allergies, oddly, you have about 1/6th the menu to choose from. Why? So strange.
Prices are very high for such a loud ambiance with the aforementioned issues. I travel 600k miles annually and eat out a lot. This is a rare review for me as it is just very poorly managed with a lot of basics that can be improved upon.
Excellent service and food!!would highly recommend this place to friends
Amazing authentic italian food! The best tortellini I've ever had!
I hate to spoil a good thing by sharing how great Storico is...but local businesses have suffered enough so here goes: The food is great. Fresh, creative, not over-complicated, perfect portion sizes. The drinks are also creative, delicious and fairly priced. The buzz is that of a special local place where you just know it’s going to become impossible to get a table. Oh well...I enjoyed it while I could get in!
Our table was behind the deli area and the chairs were small stools not meant for sitting on for a nice dinner. We were horribly uncomfortable throughout the dinner.
We had the most amazing lunch at Storico! The food was delicious, perfectly prepared! The homemade mushroom pasta was great, salads, paninis all awesome!!
The atmosphere also was so great, we will definitely be returning!!
Food was all excellent which is the main thing for me at any restaurant. I also enjoyed the quick service but they make it a point of moving people through. I actually like this but if you are the type that likes a long drawn out dinner this is not the place. Servers were attentive but pretty clueless about specifics, wines, etc. for me I expect them to know everything at this type of restaurant. Music is loud and pop music also not for me. It’s definitely a trendy spot, I would go back if someone else was paying
After letting our server know that we were celebrating, she congratulated & gave a high five to our celebrant. We ordered the Branzino, which was delicious and perfectly prepared, along with the Hanger Steak, also delicious, which came with greens, and a side dish of eggplant with onions and zucchini. A dish of pasta was ordered as well.
The pasta and sauce had no taste to it at all, though all their pastas are homemade and beautifully displayed in a glass case. Perhaps the wrong thing was ordered?
After the meal, a dessert menu was presented. We ordered 2 items for the table to share. However, there was nothing offered to the one celebrating, which was a bit disappointing. The place is very noisy, as the inside space is very "live" in terms of hard surfaces. There is outdoor seating as well, which may have been quieter.
Lunch was awesome! I will be back for dinner soon...and pasta!
