Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante
We had a dream to bring traditional and nearly lost Italian dishes to Atlanta. The result: Storico Fresco Alimentari, quite simply an Italian grocery store and restaurant in one. We’ve gone beyond and created a true Italian experience for you to enjoy. We use locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes.

Very authentic Italian.. absolutely delicious!! Awesome cocktails, too! The vibe is super cool but it is very noisy so be prepared! Love it!
Outstanding joint ... incorrectly booked an outside table on a chilly evening but they accommodated us with an indoor table on a very busy evening! Great chow ... we started with the artichoke and for entrees went with the lasagna, salmon, whole pan seared branzino and arrabiata pasta. All very tasty and great bar and table service as well.
Very crowded, Very loud, cramped, hard to get in, but that’s tolerable because the food is some of the best in Atlanta!!!
The food and our servers were wonderful, but the gentleman who sat us was extremely rude! I booked the table on OpenTable for an early dinner and when we checked in he told me that our table was outside. The reservation was not outside-it said "standard table". He said he couldn't seat us that we could sit at the bar if we didn't want the outside table, even though there were 10+ tables that were currently open. There was no seating at the bar so I double checked my confirmation for the reservation and the original reservation was outside for a later dinner, but when I changed the reservation to come early I was asked if I wanted to change the location of the table to standard seating. I showed this to him and he said "fine you can have a table inside but you must leave by 6:30PM, it was 5PM - but I did had a reservation at 5:15PM (?). It just doesn't make sense to me that he would have rather let us leave than give us one of the tables that were open and that I actually, per OpenTable had a reservation for. We didn't let him spoil our dinner but I was disappointed that this was our first impression of the restaurant. I'm an event planner and I'm always looking for new restaurants to take my events to and this is something that would turn me away from future bookings. You just never know who you're meeting and what business they might bring you in the future.
We took my dad for his birthday lunch at Storico Fresco and we loved it! The restaurant is cozy and quiet, but the food is the real forerunner. We all had their mushroom specialty dish and it was delicious. The fried seafood appetizer was also amazing. At the end of our meal, our sweet server gifted my dad a slice of nona’s tart which I thought was so incredibly sweet 💕
I have been here many times & food is always wonderful. But wow, this time no matter how great food was, the ambiance was very disappointing- it extremely loud with “club” music. When the manager came over to ask how everything was, I mentioned it was loud, and before I could compliment the food, he rudely interrupted me and said that’s just how it was there, and they were going for a “Miami vibe”. Then said as long as the food was good that was all that mattered. So it’s concerning to think the person in charge would not care about more than if the food is good.
My husband & I came with 2 other couples and I had been bragging on the restaurant. They of course loved the food, but were also surprised of the noise level & music selection. As well as shocked at the manager’s comment. Honestly it was a little embarrassing for me. We casually joked about his comment of “Miami Vibe” seeing that we were in an Italian restaurant.
I am not one to complain, especially of a place I adore so much and always highly recommend to friends; However, this disturbed me a bit.
The food was delicious and came out quickly. Service was good but definitely rushed. It was loud but not unbearable.
Visiting Atlanta for a family weekend. The food was very good. We enjoyed the boar Ragu - and grilled salmon (cooked perfectly). Clearly popular, reservations filled up for Saturday so we took an early evening option on Friday. Everything was very good. There was a mood to turn the tables fast. We told our server not to remove the remaining cheese from the charcuterie appetizer plate, she left it. But someone came right behind her and collected it, staking other plates on top. We said something to our server and she returned with a small serving of one cheese. A nice recovery, but we had some of all three left behind. It’s a pet peeve when plates are removed too quickly, a no no to be removed with food on them without asking! The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Loved the grocery options.
Good food, girls at reception amazing, bar guys cool but way too noisy for a date for instance
Love the food, wine, atmosphere, and service. Went for a business meeting and the noise level made it very difficult to hear.
Work dinner with associates from out of town- LOVED IT!!
We went for 1/2 price wine night on Monday, and the waitress pressured is into trying a more expensive bottle than we wanted, even though I was curious about some of the more affordable Sicilian wines. While several Yelp reviewers said ask for the bread and olive oil which is free, we got charged $3 for it, and it was speedily taken away before we were even half done, before we had a chance to protest. The fritto misto was lukewarm and relatively bland. The cacio e pepe was all cheese, no pepper, and very little flavor - but the pasta itself was perfectly cooked. We ordered three vegetable sides, and they brought us one of the wrong ones. When we asked about it, they said they were out of the brussel sprouts, but the 15 minutes later the table next to us got the very dish we'd tried to order. And they still charged us for the three veggies, even though they just replaced one of them with cauliflower which I couldn't eat because of a pine nut allergy. Overall, the servers were pleasant but very distracted, and it was so loud we had to yell the whole time. I'd heard good things about the food, but overall I'd say it was too bland, too loud, and too stressful to be worth going back.
Too loud but very good!
Everything was amazing, from the staff and service to the food. The pasta was some of the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back!
Overall, a very nice meal. The pasta dishes were excellent particularly the fettuccini with shrimp in a pesto with pistachios.
Good selection of beers and wine.
Service was good but forgot to bring a second glass of wine that was requested
The mushroom plate was good.
I would describe the place as LOUD not energetic, just LOUD and also VERY DARK.
Would go again but there are many other Atlanta restaurants I would choose first primarily due to how LOUD and DARK it was. Also, it lacked character compared to many other upscale restaurants in Atlanta.
The waitress didn’t write down our order when she took it and then forgot the two side dishes. She actually accused us of not ordering one of them and we never received it. The food was great. The branzino, grilled octopus and squid ink pasta were standouts. The ambiance was loud but not overly distracting. Just wish the service had matched the food.
Enjoyed the dinner. Food and service excellent. Little noisy as very active.
Always the best!
It was so noisy you could not have a conversation. I could not get out of there fast enough. Will never return
Absolutely a gem of a place. I've lost count of how many times I've been and it blows me away each time. ambiance, wine list and pasta dishes are the highlights, sit outside if you want to be able to hear your table, inside gets crazy loud on busy nights :)
After an initial issue with where the hostess wanted to seat my date and I which was resolved quickly, everything was amazing. The service was stellar, the food, fresh and delicious (though the pasta serving was unusually small by American standards but just right for me), the wine recommendation was spot on and the dessert was sublime! And I am not even a huge Italian food fan!!!! Definitely worth the calories 😊. Me new favorite go to spot for a delicious and well priced meal.
Had a 9:30 reservation on a Wednesday and the service was still great. Major props, coming from the service industry I know how difficult it can be to hold the same standard. It was my sisters first time and she loved it!
Incredible friendly service and food
awesome food. Knowledgeable servers.
Ok. It was ok.
Always a pleasure to eat here. Great service and food. Noisy.
Great place. Super noisy though. Very hard to enjoy a conversation. Food was good not excellent. Great value!
Our waitress made the whole experience perfect. The food was great.
One of the best restaurants and Italian food I've had in Atlanta.
Great service, excellent food especially the fried artichokes!
We loved our service, the atmosphere and most important the food and wine.
For sure we will come back.
Way too loud and they tried to seat us at a table that was literally bumped up to another party's table. . .which is really weird. Three other parties declined to sit there after we refused. So weird. . Why would they try to do that? It was like they just wantrd to squish as many people in there as possible. Our server was not attentive. The food was good, but not amazing.
Service was slow and since there were 6 of she knew 20% tip would be added on automatically which also wasn’t posted. We were charged $3 for Extra bread when we only received 4 pieces with the cheese board. Very cheap way to add on to already high prices. The banzino was full of bones and waitress said it was a filet which to me implies no bones. she never came back to even ask how the meal was. I asked her to take a picture as we were celebrating special occasion and she said maybe later as she was too busy. Will never come back.
It was amazing as always!
So tasty!! Went for lunch & ordered several dishes to share. Had a cappuccino & lemon cheesecake for dessert. Everything was good so try it all
Best Italian in Atlanta!
The portions were SUPER small. I actually got an appetizer & a meal & was still hungry when i left. The food had great flavor, just wish i didn’t have to go somewhere else to eat after i left.
Music was VERY loud, and servers were a tad rude. The food was so great though it made it all worth it!
